Global Survival: I Have Endless Skeletons

Chapter 216: Attacking the Jackal Beastmen Village.

Chapter 216: Attacking the Jackal Beastmen Village.

Standing on top of a dune, Thoren stared at the small village in the distance. The village was made of sand and was crudely constructed.

Every structure looked fragile and uneven, as though it could collapse at any moment under a strong gust of wind.

There were no protective walls surrounding the settlement. No barriers stood to defend the villagers from intruders. It was as if they had no fear of being attacked at all.

The sand houses came in various sizes and shapes. Some were tall and narrow, while others were wide and squat.

Their designs were bizarre and unlike anything Thoren had ever seen before. Despite this strange architecture, he paid them little attention.

His focus remained fixed on the group of Dune Scavengers entering the village.

Most of them carried humans with them.

Every human was bound tightly with coarse ropes that dug into their skin. Their robes were torn into ragged strips, barely covering their bodies.

Bruises covered their flesh, and some of them were visibly injured, bleeding as they were dragged across the sand.

Even from a distance, Thoren could hear the laughter of the Dune Scavengers. Their voices were rough and filled with cruel amusement. In contrast, the humans wailed in despair, their cries echoing helplessly through the desert air.

Thoren observed the scene in silence.

He watched for nearly half an hour without moving.

During that time, he carefully studied the village and its inhabitants. He paid attention to their movements, their numbers, and their behavior. Slowly, a conclusion formed in his mind.

The Jackal Beastmen village was far less organized than he expected.

There was no visible sense of security. No guards patrolled the perimeter. No defensive formations were established. Everything was exposed and unprotected.

For Thoren, this was ideal.

If he was going to raid the village, he needed to understand its weaknesses thoroughly.

However, there was still one concerm.

He did not know how many Dune Scavengers were still outside the village.

That uncertainty meant he had to act quickly and decisively once the attack began. Any delay could allow reinforcements to arrive, which would complicate the battle.

Without hesitation, Thoren began his preparations.

He summoned his undead army.

The Undead Rend Colossus was the first to emerge. Its massive form towered above the dune, casting a long shadow across the sand.

Behind it came the undead Starved Drakes, followed by ranks of undead humans and various beasts.

Then, he summoned the four Gravemind Devourers.

Thoren assigned each Gravemind Devourer to a different undead group.

His strategy was simple.

He would attack the village from all sides simultaneously.

Many would hesitate before confronting a Jackal Beastmen village. The danger was immense, and the risk of failure was high.

However, Thoren saw it differently.

To him, this was the fastest way to grow stronger.

Once his army was fully assembled, he divided them into five groups. Each group contained more than one hundred undead servants. The sheer number of his forces was overwhelming.

Although his undead were individually weaker than the Dune Scavengers, they had one crucial advantage.

Numbers.

Thoren nodded slightly, satisfied with his formation.

He issued clear and simple commands to the Gravemind Devourers. Immediately, the hundreds of undead began to move.

Each group advanced from a different direction, spreading out across the dunes as they closed in on the village.

Controlling such a large army would normally strain his mind. However, Thoren felt no such burden. Since his spirit evolved to Awakened Soul, his control had become far more stable and efficient.

Serving as the vanguard, Thoren moved toward the main entrance of the village.

The Undead Rend Colossus led the charge. Beside it were the two undead Dune Scavengers, their hollow eyes burning with soul fire.

Behind Thoren stood the undead Storm Tyrant and the undead Royalty Stonewall, ready to respond to any threat.

Within two minutes, they approached the outskirts of the village.

The Undead Rend Colossus was impossible to miss. Its massive frame could be seen from hundreds of meters away.

At the village entrance, several Dune Scavengers noticed the approaching figures. They stopped in their tracks and stared, their expressions filled with confusion.

Then they saw something that made them hesitate.

Two of their own kind were walking alongside the towering creature.

The Dune Scavengers began to murmur among themselves, communicating in their harsh and guttural language.

One of them suddenly turned and rushed deeper into the village, likely to report what he had seen.

Thoren narrowed his eyes slightly.

He immediately issued a command.

The Undead Rend Colossus increased its speed.

Thud. Thud.

Each heavy step shook the ground beneath it. Sand was thrown into the air as its massive body surged forward like an unstoppable force.

The Dune Scavengers at the entrance grew uneasy. Some of them bared their teeth, their instincts warning them of danger. However, the presence of their undead kin caused hesitation.

They still believed it might be one of their captive.

And that hesitation cost them dearly.

Thud. Thud.

The Undead Rend Colossus closed the distance rapidly.

Realization dawned on the Dune Scavengers. Their expressions twisted into fear as they understood the truth.

This was not a captive.

This was an enemy.

They gripped their crude weapons tightly, preparing to fight.

But it was already too late.

Boom.

The Undead Rend Colossus raised its massive foot and slammed it into the ground. A powerful tremor spread outward, shaking the sand violently.

The Dune Scavengers lost their footing and were thrown to the ground.

Cries of panic erupted.

Before they could recover, the colossal undead was already upon them.

Bang. Bang.

Its enormous hands descended with crushing force. The ground shattered under the impact, and nearby huts collapsed into piles of rubble.

The Undead Rend Colossus advanced like a living siege weapon, destroying everything in its path.

Behind it, the undead Storm Tyrant and the undead Royalty Stonewall surged forward. The Dune Scavengers who survived the initial assault struggled to rise, but they were too slow.
