Galaxy Fall: All My Skills Are Maxed

Chapter 219: The Loyal Calamity

Chapter 219: The Loyal Calamity

[Back At The Arena.]

Nadia smiled, a calm, deeply political expression that betrayed none of the internal pressure she was facing. She channeled her energy to project her voice, ensuring it reached every corner of the massive colosseum, and continued speaking:

"Lady Jessica, the Captain of the Sword Empire is my personal disciple, and also my adopted daughter."

"....?!"

Everyone was stunned, even those with her in the room were dumbfounded. The revelation of a formal adoption carried immense weight in Galaxy Fall, binding their lineages together and sharing certain familial privileges.

"It’s true she doesn’t have the powers to control such a creature to perfection. But it’s rightfully hers... I know some of you are confused, so I will explain."

The Audience looked at one another, staring at the platform. Although none of them could see the Master teacher behind the tinted, energy-shielded glass of the VIP box, they could all hear her voice projecting with absolute authority.

"As my disciple and adopted daughter, I gifted her my pet, that’s two weeks ago, and she has fought with it still now... Yes, that thing is a lot stronger than her, but that doesn’t mean it will turn against its Master... Yes, that pet is no longer mine, and I have no control over it." She smiled, laying out the mechanical truth of the Beast transfer protocol. Once a Soul-Bind was transferred, the original owner was completely locked out of the command hierarchy.

"Besides, I can’t control it from this place, meaning, she is the one controlling this pet... It’s not against the rule if she has the strength to control it. Or... Is it a bad thing I gifted her the pet?"

"....?!"

’How can she be so shameless?!’ Someone thought, his fists clenched, not daring to utter the words out loud against a Master Teacher. To exploit the familial gift loophole to bypass the tournament’s level restrictions was incredibly underhanded.

’She clearly prepared this for Jessica so she could use it in this competition, and she is here claiming to be innocent.’ Another thought, recognizing the strategic manipulation of the Empire’s resources.

’Master teachers, I thought they should be fair and just, maybe I was wrong.’ A lady shook her head, her faith in the Academy’s impartial system shattered by the blatant display of imperial privilege.

"Nadia, why didn’t you gift her this pet after the Competition?" A voice sounded from the dragon empire royal’s room, cutting through the murmurs with the heavy, unyielding bass of a seasoned warrior.

"What? Lord Hayatobi, Why ask such a question? Besides, it doesn’t matter if I gift her after or before the competition." Nadia answered, keeping her tone perfectly even, though a spark of irritation flared in her eyes.

"Hahaha!! You made a mistake gifting her before the competition!" Hayatobi said with a laugh, his booming voice lacking any trace of anxiety.

Nadia frowned, her mind immediately searching for the tactical flaw he was pointing out: "I don’t understand, what are you implying?" She asked.

"It’s simple, If Mirabella set her eyes on that thing, it will either die or submit to her." He said proudly, fully aware of his student’s monstrous capabilities and the absolute suppression she casually exerted over lesser beings.

"Lord Hayatobi, aren’t you overestimating your student’s capabilities?" Nadia countered, defending the pride of her Lv500 summon.

"Hahaha!! We will just watch and see." Hayatobi answered, settling back into his chair.

Nadia was silent, a slight frown on her face: ’Why is he so confident, that’s a Lv500 creature, is he, so sure Mirabella can kill it?’ She thought, her frown deepening. A Lv500 entity was a walking disaster:

"Lord Hayatobi, did you also reward something to your student?" She asked, probing for any hidden variables on the Dragon Empire’s side.

"I am not you..." Hayatobi answered with a flat expression, his words a sharp rebuke of her methods. Mirabella’s strength was entirely her own terrifying creation.

Davy, the lead commentator, stared at the two platforms, feeling the suffocating political tension, and sighed. Then, a systemic communication spell chimed in his ear. A voice sounded on his head, stunning him in place. The color drained from his face.

"What?!"

He exclaimed, unexpectedly. His voice, still amplified by his skill, spread all over the place, instantly silencing the two Master teachers.

"What happened?" Hayatobi asked, his demeanor sharpening from jovial to deadly serious in a fraction of a second.

"My Lord!! We just got news, the two eagle empire’s masters who entered the cave with the Dragon academy’s team are found. They lost... Lost their memories. We suspect someone with a very powerful psychic powers did this to them." He said, his voice trembling. To completely wipe the minds of two high-level Masters required a Mental stat so astronomically high it defied the current server limits.

"....?!"

Everyone was stunned. First the fifth Pillar of the demon emperor, then a Lv500 creature, and now an entity with unprecedented psychic powers roaming the map. The parameters of the tournament had completely shattered.

Is this still a competition?

"They are alive, that’s good." Hayatobi said, exhaling slowly, recognizing Mirabella’s restraint. If she wanted them dead, no resurrection item would have saved them.

"Yes, we will investigate what happened to them." Keegan, who have been silent, finally utter a word, his tone heavy with the implication of an incoming inquisition.

"Thank you, Master Teachers." Davy said, trying to regain control of the broadcast, and continued:

"As for the creature, it has come to the decision that Miss Jessica didn’t break any rule, and the sword empire will continue." Davy announced. Although some people were enraged by this blatant loophole, they simply swallowed it up, and kept quiet under the oppressive presence of the VIP boxes.

"Look!! Someone appeared before Jessica’s team!!!" The old man scream, his voice drawing everyone’s attention to the screen, again, their eyes wide in shock at the people before them.

[Path to the Tower.]

Jessica and her team stopped running, the dirt kicking up beneath their boots. They immediately fell into a defensive formation, staring at the red hair lady standing before them. The senses hadn’t triggered any proximity warning; she had simply materialized, bypassing all spatial laws. A smirk on her face radiated a chilling, alien confidence.

"Who are you?" Jessica asked with a frown, her hand tightening around the hilt of her Legendary sword. Her instincts, usually sharp enough to read any opponent, gave her nothing. The woman before her registered as a terrifying blank space in the world’s energy.

"You can call me Luigi." Luigi said, her smirk widening, her red eyes locking onto Jessica with the casual detachment of a predator sizing up prey.

"Why are you blocking us?! I am sure you aren’t from any other academy!!" Gracie asked with a slight frown, noting the lack of any official tournament insignia or aura.

"I am here to kill her." Luigi said, casually pointing a finger at Jessica. The air temperature plummeted, the sheer killing intent freezing the ambient moisture into microscopic ice crystals.

"....?!"

"Huh?"

"Why?!"

The students were confused, their minds struggling to comprehend the sudden, unprovoked death sentence from an unknown entity in the middle of an Academy exam.

"She harbors the thought of killing my Master, as her slave, of course, I should kill anyone who have such thoughts."

".....?!!"

SILENCE....

The absolute, terrifying devotion in Luigi’s voice echoed through the quiet path. She didn’t care about the tournament, the rules, or the Empires. To even conceptualize harm against Mirabella was a sin punishable by immediate erasure.
