Chapter 215: The Weight Of Reality
Chapter 215: The Weight Of Reality
[Thank You Akbeauty87 For Gifting Mirabella A Magic Castle.]
[Back At The Arena.]
Absolute Silence...
The whole Arena was plunged into a deadly silence, it was so deep and eerie that everyone could hear a pin drop. The colossal, energy-powered holographic screens suspended above the colosseum had captured the brutal, execution in pristine, high-definition detail.
The whole audience’s eyes were fixed on the huge screen, staring at Mirabella, who slowly raised her blood socked shoe, and stepped back from the shattered skull of the Lv400 catastrophe. The sheer lack of effort in her movements was terrifying.
They all felt a chill down their spines, even the Royal families, and Master teachers were all dumbfounded. The established hierarchy of levels and combat logic had just been ripped apart before millions of viewers.
"This? Is she even a human?" Someone asked in shock, his voice trembling as he stared at the young girl on the screen.
"I only saw the Dragon Empire Academy students appeared in the burial ground, entered a skeleton and letter appeared in front of their flag, then this kill!!" Another said in disbelief, trying to piece together the fractured timeline of Mirabella’s impossible teleportation sequence.
"Isn’t it against the rule entering a Cave?" A woman yelled, trying to find a violation to justify the absurdity they had just witnessed. But the second man beside her shook his head, a thoughtful frown on his face:
"It’s not against the rule, don’t misinterpret... The Host only advised the students not to enter, it doesn’t mean they can’t enter a cave... Besides, there is another loophole here."
The audience closed by turned to the old man, their eyes wide, desperate for an explanation that grounded the event in reality.
"There isn’t any rule that go against the students using teleportation skills or any gears... They were simply given the rule to capture their flag at all cost." He explained, analyzing the tournament’s foundational code.
The people looked at one another, and slowly nods their heads. No matter how they think about it, this was indeed a very huge loophole, brilliantly exploited by a tactical genius.
"So the Dragon Empire Academy students suddenly appearing before their flag, is part of the competition." He added.
"What about the points?!! The Sword Empire Academy’s Captain killed a Lv300 Monster, and she only gained 30,000 points, while The Dragon Academy’s Captain killed a Lv400 demon and gained 400,000 points." A man yelled, his face red with indignation, and some nodded their heads in agreement, feeling the scoring system was rigged.
"You fools are just dumb."
".....?!"
They all lowered their heads to Regina, who sat in the first row of the VIP stadium seating. Her aura of authority immediately suppressed the rising murmurs. Her arms crossed on her chest, her gaze cold and analytical:
"Do you think Monsters are comparable with Demons? Not to mention the demon she killed is the fifth Pillar under the demon emperor... It’s only normal to gain such a huge amount of points... Let me ask, do you think the Captain of the sword empire can kill a demon pillar?" She asked, looking over her shoulder at the man who asked the question. A single demon pillar was a walking disaster that usually required a full raid party of Elite Masters to subdue, dropping high-grade loot. To solo one was a feat of myth to the ordinary people.
"Well..."
Everyone was speechless. Indeed, a Demon is more evil and stronger than a monster, possessing extreme intelligence and corrupting energy, not to mention demons are humans’ number one enemy in Galaxy Fall.
"So I said we just keep quiet and watch." Regina added, turning her attention back to the screen, entirely captivated by Mirabella’s overwhelming presence.

[Sword Empire Royal’s Room.]
"This?!! Isn’t she too ruthless?!!" The Prince stood up in shock, yelling. His luxurious robes fluttered around him as he pointed a trembling finger at the display. The sheer, casual violence of the stomp had deeply unsettled his aristocratic sensibilities.
"Ruthless?" The Princess lightly shook her head, completely unbothered by the gore. She took a delicate sip of her tea, her mind calculating the geopolitical shifts this single student was causing, and looked up at her brother:
"She killed a demon, so it’s acceptable." She added pragmatically.
"You?!! Do you think she can’t kill the other students the way she killed this Demon?!!" The Prince yelled at his sister, his face filled with anger and raw, undeniable fear. If Mirabella could crush a Lv400 demon’s skull like an egg, the academy students were nothing but fragile glass to her.
"Brother, the three teams are separated... You will have to travel tens of thousands of kilometers to even encounter one team, she won’t get the opportunity." The Princess said in a calm tone, relying on the vast geography of the southern region to act as a buffer.
"Carolina is right." Nadia said calmly, staring at the screen with the heavy, burdened eyes of an instructor who had just realized the curriculum was obsolete.
"Mirabella is too powerful, we already lost this round." She said, accepting the bitter truth.
Carolina placed her teacup on the table beside her, the fine porcelain clicking softly against the saucer, and turned to her aunt:
"Aunty, A demon appeared at the location of the flag, what if there are also demons in the other locations? Won’t this be a problem?" She asked, her sharp mind identifying a severe flaw in the tournament’s security arrays.
"It’s highly possible, but what can we do about it?" Nadia exhaled, the stress lines on her face deepening:
"We know of this risk, which is why we placed Masters, but it seems these Masters can’t hold them back... Or maybe, they are already dead." She said, the grim possibility hanging heavy in the opulent room.
"Dead? Does that mean the three Eagle empire’s Masters are dead?" The Prince asked in shock, his voice cracking. The Masters were the absolute pinnacle of the defense.
Carolina shook her head: "I don’t think so elder brother... If they were killed, we would have gotten news about it. Besides, do you think this girl is stronger than three elders?" She asked, though a sliver of doubt now colored her usually confident tone.
Georgia stared at his daughter, then at his son, the heavy burden of leadership weighing on his broad shoulders, and nodded: "Ok, sit down... Mirabella easily killed a Demon, If they are demons waiting at the other locations, I am sure the other students can take care of them." He said, though his internal thoughts were far less optimistic.
’What is happening here? Are the demons so weak now that even a kid can easily kill one? This Mirabella is the last heir of the Sun family, is that the reason she could kill one?’ He thought with a slight frown. The legendary Sun family was supposed to be a myth. If their bloodline had truly awakened in this girl, the entire balance of power in the empires was about to be overturned.
Nadia nodded in approval: ’Did I make a mistake sending my students on this mission? Jessica, you mustn’t fail me.’ She thought, silently praying for her own captain’s survival.

[Dragon Empire Royal’s Room.]
"Hahahaha!! That’s my student over there!!! She is the strongest!!" Hayatobi said with a hearty laugh, his booming voice vibrating the expensive crystal chandeliers, entirely not bothered about the decorum expected of him among the royals sitting in the room. He pounded his chest in raw, martial pride.
Delphine stared at the master teacher, unbothered by his outburst, and turned her head to the screen, a small, knowing smile on her face: "This is to be expected."
’I didn’t know she is this strong!! And I even dared to challenge her in the resurrection hall.’ Lucas thought, staring at the screen, a cold sweat breaking out on his neck as he recalled his past arrogance.
’But... Why do I have this urge to fight her and see my limit?!’ He thought, the pure, unyielding spirit of a warrior warring with the logical instinct of self-preservation.
"Hahaha!! Seems my Empire will be ranked first after this Competition!!" Elrod said with a smile. As the Emperor, the political capital Mirabella was generating for him was invaluable.
Suddenly, Lucas stood up, unable to contain his fighting spirit, and turned to Hayatobi, then bowed formally: "Lord Hayatobi, I would like to challenge your student--"
"--Decline." Hayatobi cut him off before the sentence even finished, his jovial demeanor instantly snapping into a dead-serious glare.
"But--"
Lucas froze, seeing Hayatobi’s cold gaze. The dense, terrifying aura of a true Master silenced the young warrior.
"Lucas... Mirabella isn’t an ordinary person. Not only is she the strongest in the dragon empire academy, she is also a Colonel in the Army... You don’t even have the right to fight her. If... I mean "IF" she agrees, you won’t even last a single round." Elrod said calmly, his gaze fixed on the crowd far below the VIP box, his voice carrying the absolute weight of Imperial decree.
"But Dad!! She must have a trump card, I can still withstand it." Lucas argued, his pride refusing to let him back down completely. He was a prodigy in his own right, used to overcoming impossible odds.
"Brother."
They all turned to Delphine.
"I am the one who have seen some of Mirabella’s strength. So I will reveal something to you." She turned her head from the screen to her brother, her eyes completely devoid of their usual warmth:
"All of Mirabella’s skills are her trump cards... There is no way you can win such a person who possesses that many trump cards." She said, her words stunning everyone in the room. The sheer imbalance of a player whose basic attacks functioned like ultimate skills was a terrifying concept. Even Lucas was stunned into silence, his sister’s words still echoing in his ears.
"So younger brother, please, don’t ask again, because even I won’t dare challenge Mirabella." She added quietly.
"....?!"
Lucas was even more dumbfounded. His sister was one of the strongest prodigies he had ever seen; not only could she unleash the mythical Flameheart Heaven Eye, an ability that could incinerate entire battlefields, she could also use its devastating second form. And now, she wasn’t just reprimanding him, she is genuinely scared of Mirabella. If Delphine believed engaging Mirabella was tantamount to suicide, Lucas finally realized he had been staring into an abyss he couldn’t comprehend.
