Chapter 210: The Blood Angel Awakens
Chapter 210: The Blood Angel Awakens
[Galaxy Fall - Cave]
The devastating beam of dark energy, capable of vaporizing a mountain, abruptly halted in mid-air. The attack smashed into one of Mirabella’s invisible guardian, ten meters from her. A shockwave rippled outward as the Celestial Guardian—a manifestation of her God Rank Imperial Bloodline possessing the strength of a Lv500 entity—absorbed the lethal blow without yielding an inch.
"Is that a shield?" Rose asked in confusion, her eyes straining to comprehend the sheer density of the invisible barrier that had just saved them from instant annihilation.
"What are we still waiting for!!" Austin yelled, shaking off the paralyzing terror. He raised his hand, channeling his warrior class’s raw physical attack stats, and smashed his fist right into the ground.
"Earth Destruction!!!"
BOOM!!!
The Earth before him shattered, moving towards the statue with insane speed. The jagged wave of displaced rock and kinetic force tore through the dungeon floor, tearing apart the ancient stones, and smashed into it.
BOOOOM!!
Cloud of dust and smoke fill the air, plunging the massive subterranean chamber into temporary blindness as falling debris echoed loudly against the cavern walls.
"Did I get it?" Austin asked, standing upright, his breath coming in heavy, hopeful pants as he tried to peer through the thick dust.
WHOOSH!!!
The dust didn’t just settle; it was violently displaced. A dark figure instantly appeared behind him, stunning Austin. The Blood Angel’s agility completely bypassed the physical limitations of movement, utilizing high-tier spatial teleportation. At that exact moment, he felt one of his leg at death door, the absolute chilling aura of the boss paralyzing his muscles.
"Soul Piercing!!!"
A sharp intervention sliced through the cavern’s tension. The Angel stopped its attack, and flew backward, as an invisible attack moved past its previous spot, smashing the wall on the other side with terrifying precision.
It landed on its feet, all ten wings folded around it, completely enclosing its body in a cocoon of blood-red feathers, leaving only his head to the group. Its crimson eyes glowed with an ancient, malevolent intelligence that made the air itself feel heavy and toxic.
"Who set me free?"
WHOOSH!!
Its deep demonic voice spread all over the cave like a grinding rocks. It wasn’t just sound; it was a concentrated, area-of-effect mental attack designed to crush lower-level entities. And instantly, Casey, Precious, David, and Kent all dropped to their knees, holding their ears, their faces filled with pain as their health bars flickered dangerously from the sheer acoustic pressure.
"What the hell is this?!! It’s only its voice, and I feel like needles are piercing my ears!!!" Kent screamed, his heavy armor offering absolutely zero protection against the psychic assault.
The Angel moved its gaze on the group, evaluating their pathetic defense stats with disdain, then turned its head to Carl, the only standing weak fighter. Surrounded by his agonizing peers, Carl remained mysteriously upright, still untouched by the overwhelming aura.
"Hmm...."
It turned its head to Mirabella, who was clearly still backing the angel, entirely unbothered by its cosmic presence. One of the ten sun swords was still in her grasp, its legendary aura humming against her palm.
"Human, I see you’re the one who set me free... For this, I won’t kill you... Now, step forward and kneel before this goddess, and pledge your loyalty to me... Take note, if you refuse this blessing I am granting you, death only awaits." It said, its gaze fixed on Mirabella’s back, extending a twisted, arrogant form of mercy.
"Fufufufu... No one have dared asked me to kneel." Mirabella looked over her shoulder at the Angel, a devilish smirk on her face. With over five million in all baseline stats, she was no longer a mortal standing before a boss; she was a sovereign in her own right.
DING!
Hitachi blinked, the sharp system chime piercing the ambient terror, staring at his galaxy bracelet holographic screen before him:
[Player Spectral Is Inviting You To Join Her Team.]
Hitachi turned to the remaining standing group, seeing all of them were staring intently on one spot, which shows they were all staring at the same invitation on their own screens. The golden interface was a lifeline floating in the dark.
Without hesitation, they all tapped Accept. Even those on their knees joined the team, locking their status to Mirabella’s party network, and instantly, all their injuries, discomfort and pain vanished. The team-wide buffs from her World Boss Demon title and other passives washed over them, cleansing the Angel’s suppression aura.
"....?!"
The Angel blinked, momentarily breaking its divine composure, moving its gaze on the humans, who were all healed in an instant.
"Impressive." It spoke, the grinding rocks of its voice echoing again, but this time, it didn’t affect the team. Mirabella’s party skills completely shielded them from the psychological damage.
"You must be the last descendant of the Sun family... It seems every single pest from the Sun family is a genius beyond the heavens... Anyway, you will die at my hands." It said, its gaze fixed on Mirabella, a cold, killing intent rising from its massive wings.
"Last descendant of the Sun family?!!!"
The nine turned to Mirabella in shock, and finally, everything clicked in place. The missing pieces of the puzzle formed a terrifying, awe-inspiring picture.
’That’s why the trap doesn’t work against her, and why she is so powerful.’ Hitachi thought in shock, realizing their captain’s bloodline was tied to the greatest forgotten legends of Galaxy Fall.
"I don’t know anything about the Sun family, but if you think you can kill me, then... You are truly foolish." Mirabella said, turning fully to face the deity, and utter the words that sealed the Angel’s fate.
"Echo Of Frailty."
BOOOOM!!
An invisible sonic waved of pure energy spread all over the place, bypassing all magical resistance, and smashed into the angel, forcing it some feet back. The sheer force of the legendary-level Max Skill warped the air itself.
’What sort of skill is this?!’ The Angel raised its hand, staring at it in disbelief, feeling the fundamental code of its existence being rewritten as all its powers dropped to a terrifying 50%.
"...?!!"
It looked up in shock, staring at the surrounding students, realizing the debuff hadn’t just affected it, but had catastrophically shifted the balance of power.
"What is this power?" Rose asked, staring at her glowing body, feeling an incomprehensible surge of energy coursing through her veins, elevating her damage output beyond anything she had ever experienced.
"Is this the skill she gained when Lord Hayatobi took us to the Valley?" Hitachi muttered in surprise, his mind instantly analyzing the massive shifts, and closed his eyes, sending a telepathic message through their teammates’ link.
’This is the Captain’s skill, it multiplier all our damage by 10, and also reduced the enemy’s physical and magical attacks by 90%!! Last time, it only lasted for ten minutes, so we must take this thing down in less than ten minutes!!’ He said, feeding them the critical combat data, and the eight nodded in understanding, drawing their weapons with renewed, lethal confidence.
’This stupid skill marked my soul!! I can’t get rid of it!!’ The Angel thought, desperately trying to purge the debuff, but the code was absolute. Staring at Mirabella; it frowned, and moved its gaze to the ten invisible guardians around her, sensing the immense, Lv500 threat radiating from the unseen defenders.
’These things are also strange, I will have to deal with these students before taking her on.’ It thought, recognizing Mirabella was too heavily guarded. The Angel calculated its new strategy, as its ten wings spread out, revealing its true, monstrous span.
"All of you will die today!!!"
