Future Beast World: Becoming A Pampered Beauty

Chapter 551 - 490: The Insect Clan’s Eldest Son

Chapter 551 - 490: The Insect Clan’s Eldest Son

...

Inside a hidden, enormous nest, piles of skeletal remains and debris were stacked high.

In the deepest part, a bloated, white, giant insect was devouring something.

Looking closer, it was the skull of an Insect Clan member!

Its massive, fleshy body squirmed as it rapidly laid eggs!

Just a few minutes after being exposed to the air, something burst forth from the giant, half-human-sized eggs. They were Alien Insect Beasts, each one hideously twisted and too gruesome to look at! They scuttled darkly and swiftly across the ground and walls. Some of the seemingly more advanced Alien Insect Beasts could even transform to look like members of the Insect Clan or Beast Clan, allowing them to infiltrate their populations and carry out the Insect Mother’s mission to propagate her offspring.

"Where did this ugly thing come from?" Sang Luo asked, her skin crawling with goosebumps.

"The Insect King of Star Vortex Insect Nest’s Zone 2 was an old pervert. He loved conducting live experiments to cultivate these mutations. Most were created from the genes of Insect Clan people and various alien space beasts. They’re not only highly destructive but also reproduce at an incredible rate, making them a bit tricky to deal with."

Anubia said in a low voice, "I killed that old Insect King back in the day. I never expected the bastard to have this kind of trick hidden up his sleeve for revenge!"

Sang Luo asked, "You came back this time to deal with this Insect Mother?"

"That was the original plan. But then I found out you were awake, so I decided to take care of this problem along the way and not go back." Anubia continued, "The old Insect King from Zone 2 released a live Insect Mother into the Beast World. Luckily, it was discovered early, before the Alien Insect Beasts could spread to the other continents. I’ve been spending the last few years wiping them out on the South Continent. I’ve killed most of them and finally located the nest where the Insect Mother was hiding."

He had just finished speaking.

BOOM! A massive explosion echoed from overhead!

The rock above them rapidly collapsed.

Someone piloting a black Mecha smashed through the cavern, raised a laser sword over ten meters long, and sliced through the air, cleaving the huge, round Insect Mother in two.

The Insect Mother had no time to escape before it was instantly diced into countless pieces, sending flesh and blood flying!

Anubia quickly raised a hand and cast an Energy Barrier in front of them, shielding himself, Sang Luo, and the children.

The Mecha’s laser sword quickly transformed into a cannon, and it fired hundreds upon hundreds of shells down at the ground.

BOOM!

A brilliant burst of fire erupted in all directions!

The newly hatched mutant Insect Beasts on the ground were quickly reduced to clumps of elemental energy, which the Mecha absorbed into the energy collector below its chest.

Once the mess was dealt with, the Mecha’s cockpit opened, and a handsome young man of seventeen or eighteen jumped out.

He had a head of curly black hair and extremely pale skin that didn’t look sickly. His eyes were a magnificent kaleidoscope of colors, bewitchingly beautiful. He wore a tight-fitting black combat suit that highlighted his exceptionally tall, slender figure, making for a striking sight.

The Mecha transformed into a streak of light and flew into a single jeweled earring on his right ear.

In Sang Luo’s arms, Little Qi’s eyes sparkled. "So cool!"

The young man glanced in their direction before landing on the ground.

Anubia looked at his eldest son with satisfaction and gave him a high-five. "Nice job."

The young man said coolly, "Piece of cake."

After speaking, he turned to Sang Luo. Unlike the easy familiarity he showed with his father, he seemed a bit distant and awkward as he called out,

"Mother."

Sang Luo was also shocked as she looked at her eldest Insect Clan son. Since their birth, Anubia had brought the children back once when they were still in their beast forms, but she hadn’t seen them since.

In the blink of an eye, more than five hundred years had passed. Her Insect Clan children had grown up so much.

She had neglected these Insect Clan children the most. Filled with guilt, she stepped forward and gently hugged him. "You’re wonderful, Taiya."

Taiya’s memories of his mother were hazy, but his father had often shown them photos of her, so he recognized Sang Luo at a glance.

But they had almost no memories or interactions together. Beyond their blood ties, they were no different from strangers. Hearing his mother praise him and say his name with such satisfaction, Taiya’s heart stirred. His tense body relaxed slightly, and a faint blush crept onto his handsome, distinguished face. "Thank you for the compliment, Mother."

"When you were little, your father often brought you back to the Beast World. Unfortunately, I was deep in slumber back then. I slept for several hundred years. You’ve all grown up, and I barely got to spend any time with you. It was my failure as a mother," Sang Luo said guiltily.

Taiya quickly shook his head. "Mother, you’re overthinking it. In my heart, you and Father are the most important people in my life!"

Anubia comforted her, "Luoluo, the Insect Clan doesn’t have the same strong concept of child-rearing as the Beastman. You don’t need to feel guilty. Insect Clan females don’t participate in raising their young anyway. It’s just that the children haven’t seen you in a long time."

Sang Luo sighed. "Sigh... regardless, I should spend more time with you and the children. Otherwise, it really will be too late... Little Taiya, you haven’t spent much time in the Beast World, so you probably haven’t had a good look around, right? When you have time, I’ll take you out and show you around."

Taiya also smiled and nodded. "Okay, Mother."

Little Qi wrapped himself around his arm, flicking his forked tongue. "Can I touch the Mecha again?!"

"Sure."

Taiya nodded, raised his hand to touch the pendant on his right ear, and materialized the Mecha again.

The technology of the Star Vortex Insect Nest was far superior to that of the Beast World. The young ones, having grown up without seeing such a cool, massive toy, all crowded around to look and touch. They even wanted to go inside and try operating it themselves.

Operating a Mecha requires years of training, and it could be dangerous for a novice to try recklessly. Taiya suggested that he could have custom-designed Mechas made for them, which would be better suited for them to operate.

Little Jin blinked her beautiful, almond-shaped eyes and said expectantly, "Mother, Uncle Anubia, I want a custom Mecha too!"

Anubia picked her up, stroking the few beautiful, dark red plumes on her head. He smiled dotingly. "Of course you can. But we’ll have to make a trip back to the Star Vortex Insect Nest to measure all your physical data. I’ll contact Tomanie to help design your custom Mechas."

Little Yuan also asked curiously, "Where is the Star Vortex Insect Nest?"

None of them had ever been.

These Divine Beast Descendants had lived a pampered life since birth. Was there any place they hadn’t been, or any marvel they hadn’t seen? Sang Luo had been racking her brain for ways to entertain the children, when suddenly, she had a stroke of genius!

"The Star Vortex Insect Nest is the ancestral home of the Insect Clan. There are lots of fun things there. How about I take you all to stay there for a few days? Uncle Anubia has a big house there."

"Okay!"

The four young ones were filled with anticipation.

Taiya was also happy to welcome his brothers and sisters to his home.

"By the way, where are your three younger siblings?" Sang Luo remembered giving birth to four Insect Clan children at once: three males and one female.

"They miss you a lot too, Mother, and wanted to come see you, but..." At this point, Taiya’s expression turned serious. "The Star Vortex Insect Nest is at war with Kailuo Star. Mos and the others went to the front lines to support the troops, so they can’t make it back for now. That’s why I’m the only one who came."
