From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 6: Angel and Demon God

Chapter 6: Angel and Demon God

In front of the church, beneath the already pitch-black sky.

The massive sky cross opened its eyes beneath the dark clouds, yet the white light it emitted made every believer feel warmth.

This light swept across everyone's bodies, causing them to open their eyes in pleasant surprise.

Except for a crow sleeping at the church entrance—it suddenly spread its wings and let out a piercing, mournful shriek!

"Impossible! This cannot be! The mortal realm is filthy and indifferent, how could your existence be possible!"

The crow's voice echoed in everyone's ears, like massive temple bells ringing!

This voice shook them into mental daze and physical confusion, also making everyone feel fear as they stared at this crow that was quite common even in Vespuchi Town!

The crow glanced at the cross in the sky, then looked at Father Angus in the center of the crowd, suddenly understanding something.

So with a flap of its wings, it flew toward Angus!

This small creature, in the moment of flying, actually seemed to carry tremendous force, appearing before the crowd with a terrifying oppressive presence!A mere small crow actually flew with such wind pressure that it even bent the trees on both sides of the road!

"In the name of Almighty God, we command you unclean spirit: depart!" Fortunately, Father Angus ultimately withstood the pressure and spoke his holy chant before this terrifying crow!

These words that were originally just ceremonial phrases actually unleashed terrifying power at this moment!

Brilliant white light burst forth from his body, shining on the crow's face, making it emit a piercing, mournful howl!

"Squawk!" The crow dissolved in the light, terrible black energy spreading from its body, expanding across the entire sky in just a few dozen seconds.

The next moment, this black energy began to contract, transforming before everyone's eyes into a huge and terrifying monster!

[Monster Portrait]

This enormous monster resembled an enlarged crow, flapping its wings, but its head had a human face!

"Truly rare, in this mortal realm where miracles don't exist and faith is lacking, there's actually a devout cleric!" The monster's mouth produced clicking sounds of admiration.

Hearing these words, Father Angus mustered his courage and stepped forward, saying to the demon god, "This place doesn't belong to you, evil spirit!"

"Evil spirit? Hahahahaha!" The monster let out a sharp, maniacal laugh, his laughter even shattering the church's windows.

"I'm an evil spirit? Even those guys from the former Inquisition didn't dare call me an evil spirit!" He said loudly, looking at Angus with a comprehending expression!

"Ah, I understand! The mortal realm now has long had no inherited clergy, so of course there's no specialized teaching about us!" He waved his wings in the air, as if sensing something, "Ah, there are still some residual rumors remaining!"

This monster hovered in the air like this, his image and oppression making most people unable to even lift their bodies, only able to bend over and crane their necks to look up at him.

"Two thousand years ago, a man called Solomon once called my name!" He declared loudly, "They called me—Raum!"

This certainly wasn't his true name, so he said it quite recklessly!

But beside Father Angus, Sheriff Franz keenly sensed the sudden trembling and shaking of the priest beside him!

"Father, do you know his identity?" Franz quickly asked.

Angus nodded, speaking with heavy words, "Raum, is one of the Seventy-Two Demons of Solomon, if I remember correctly, he's the fortieth ranked demon god!"

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone who heard them gasped in shock!

They might not be smart, might be ignorant, but they were all believers, all had heard of those legendary demon gods!

In legends, demon gods were counterparts to angels, in a certain sense, they were true deities!

And now, such a deity had appeared before their eyes, and clearly meant harm!

Looking at these people's fear, Raum was clearly satisfied, but he showed no intention of taking action at all.

This demon god circled the crowd twice, several times wanting to descend, but each time he forcibly stopped himself!

This peculiar behavior left everyone bewildered—what was this demon god doing? Did he only want to announce his existence to everyone?

This wasn't the demon god's personality described in the "Key of Solomon"—he seemed bound by something.

Fortunately, this demon god didn't persist for too long. After a period of silence, he flapped his wings!

In the sky, a terrifying hurricane suddenly formed. After stirring up frenzy on the ground, it directly flew toward the massive cross in the sky.

At the moment the hurricane was about to reach the cross, a pale hand extended from the cross. With a simple raising of the hand, it dissipated the hurricane into nothingness.

Then, in the sight of one demon god and over four hundred town residents, the sky cross abruptly shrank, becoming a cross-shaped sword in that hand.

In the pitch-black sky, the cross sword traced a nearly cross-shaped gap, allowing the hand's owner to pull themselves out through the gap.

The black sky, pure white cross, and pale arm were all exposed before people. What ultimately revealed itself was bright yellow flames igniting, gray robes flowing out from within, and sky-blue wings unfolding in the gap!

This special being seemed about to fully emerge from the light!

But, this was the finale.

That hand ultimately didn't pull the body out, only reaching this extent before shrinking back again.

Only the cross sword remained, still hovering in the air.

"Raum, return to your position!" Ancient and solemn words transformed into chains of runes that directly fell from the sky, binding the demon god Raum's body.

This crow demon god didn't even have the thought of resistance, just being bound like this.

"Tsk... you person, after all these years, still so boring!" Raum said, then his body, along with the chains, was pulled into the cross gap.

Subsequently, the cross sword was also absorbed by the gap, which then transformed back into the previous bright sky cross, flying toward the crowd.

When it flew before them, the cross had become very small, perfectly matching the cross on Father Angus's chest.

At this moment, the dark clouds in the sky also slowly dispersed. The town became calm and peaceful, as if nothing had ever happened!

It was also at this time that Franz noticed something wrong with Angus!

He discovered that Father Angus's body was trembling uncontrollably even while kneeling.

His shaking became even more violent, requiring Franz, Hank, and two other strong men to hold him down.

"Angus! Calm down!" Franz said loudly. Hearing this, the trembling Father Angus finally seemed to regain some spirit.

He knelt on the ground, praying incessantly toward the direction where the sky cross had been!

"Cleanse sins with Christ's most holy precious blood;

Conquer death's dominion through eternal true light.

All glory to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

Now and forever, through all ages. Amen."

His faith seemed to be completely activated at this moment, that confident power able to shine in everyone's eyes!

Then, Father Angus finally returned to normal. Looking at the people before him, he said softly, "Do you know who He is?"

His eyes seemed to release infinite divine brilliance!
