From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 461: The Impending Crisis of Humanity

Chapter 461: The Impending Crisis of Humanity

"Another world? Which other world?" A sense of foreboding laced Arthur Pendragon's words.

"Which one could it possibly be? The very same world that nearly drove the Tuatha Dé Danann out of this realm, of course!" Lucifer dropped this earth-shattering revelation casually, and he was far from finished. "You all won that campaign! The Tuatha Dé Danann, the Asgardian Pantheon, the Olympian Gods, the pillar gods of the desert, the savage deities of the jungle, and even those worldly-ignorant Buddhist monks and their mortal enemies, the gods of nature, all chose to join the Divine War!"

"Do I need to spell it out for you, Arthur Pendragon? Your era possessed records of our existence; you should know more than anyone!"

King Arthur understood. "They have returned? Impossible. They have no chance of defeating the gods, let alone Yahweh. We may not know much about Yahweh, but surely you do?"

"Indeed, Yahweh is undeniably powerful, as are your gods. So, how exactly did they manage to push you all to the brink over a millennium ago?" Lucifer's retort rendered King Arthur speechless.

Where there was a first time, a second was bound to follow. It was a natural progression and an irrefutable point.

"Is this the price you wish to pay in exchange for that soul from us? If this is all you have, it is not enough!" King Arthur quickly regained his composure. Demons thrived on making deals, but the chips on the table were glaringly insufficient. Furthermore, it certainly did not warrant a personal visit from Lucifer, the supreme leader of the Fallen Angels in Hell.

"And what if I told you that the other world has already made contact with the Giants?" Lucifer's voice echoed. "Not just the Giants, but also the sea leviathans, abyssal terrors, and Dark Creatures that were deliberately marginalized and hunted down in your mythology?"

"Is this information sufficient now?"

Upon hearing this, a wave of dread washed over King Arthur. He abruptly straightened his posture. "Impossible. With so many Giant tribes, could they all really be mobilized? The hatred between them and us runs too deep..."He barely believed his own words as he spoke them. Deep down, he recognized the terrifying logic of it. After all, across various races, especially within their respective mythologies, the animosity toward the Giants was incredibly profound.

The war between the Tuatha Dé Danann and the deep-sea giants had even culminated in the death of a God King. Meanwhile, wasn't Ragnarok in the neighboring Norse pantheon inextricably linked to the Giants?

As for the Olympian Gods, to put it bluntly, the first generation of deities they banished and the second generation they relentlessly hunted were all giants. The Primeval Titans and the Titan Giants were practically all defeated foes of Zeus.

Moreover, hadn't a precedent for cooperation between Giants and another world already been established during the era of Ragnarok?

This time, the scale had merely expanded.

It was much like Kuchamama from before. He was originally an abandoned deity among the Mayan Gods, yet with the support of the other world, he had ultimately become a Sea God. The so-called Divine War was nothing more than forging alliances and joining forces.

It was only natural for the enemies of the gods to seek allies. Pointing this out now simply meant they had set their sights on this world!

Realizing this, King Arthur spotted a glaring flaw. "Wait. Following this logic, you should be among their collaborators. Why would you come to tell us this?"

"Collaborators? As if they are worthy," Lucifer sneered. "I am the king of the Fallen Angels, the monarch destined to rule All Worlds. The fact that Heaven and Hell hold different ideologies does not mean I will stoop to the level of those despicable beings and collude with outsiders to invade my own world!"

"They might bare their fangs at their own world for the meager scraps tossed aside by others, but we disdain such pathetic acts!"

King Arthur nodded with a hint of regret. "Indeed. Lucifer, the Left-wing Angel, the Viceroy of Heaven. The stories I once read were still about the divine punishments you brought down!"

Lucifer was, of course, an immensely proud deity. Otherwise, he would never have chosen to betray God at the absolute zenith of his power, leading his followers straight into Hell. It was entirely understandable for him to hold such convictions.

Naturally, King Arthur also knew the most crucial reason behind this: Hell and Heaven were two sides of the same coin. The stronger Heaven grew, the stronger Hell became. Their resources were abundant; they had absolutely no need for the assistance of any other Divine Pantheon!

This was precisely the foundation of Lucifer's confidence to reject them. It was also why many mocked him, claiming he had merely transitioned from Yahweh's public hound to his hound in the shadows. After all, remaining within the Christian framework meant that, ultimately, he was still an extension of Yahweh's power.

"This information is sufficient... Until the decrees of the gods descend, the Celtic People will protect their world!"

King Arthur nodded as he spoke, effectively sealing the deal.

However, Lucifer did not leave just yet. Instead, he turned toward the empty space beside them, staring at an unseen audience. "I know you can see this! Humans, I wish you luck. If you are truly invaded by another world, remember to call my name! Hell is at your beck and call!"

With those words, he vanished into thin air, leaving behind a scattering of black feathers. His parting remark made many instantly realize the truth: this was no well-intentioned warning or fair exchange. It was blatantly obvious that Hell coveted this massive influx of attention, sending Lucifer himself to attract The Faithful!

If, someday in the future, you truly faced a life-threatening crisis and found yourself at your wit's end, with this one final option remaining, would you take it?

"Even Demons are using psychological warfare now?" Many people grimaced at the thought.

The information had just been broadcast without avoiding them at all. Since the enemies of the gods were closing in, how could humanity possibly escape the fallout?

The true protagonists of this impending crisis were still the people of Earth!

The sense of urgency in their hearts intensified. Although they did not know exactly when the crisis would strike, the pressing need to establish Supernatural Teams left many grappling with anxiety.

This world was no longer the one they once knew!

...

However, even with the crisis looming, Livia Wilde's coronation ceremony continued unabated.

The old King Charles had already taken his position. He held the crown of England in his hands, prepared to present it to Livia once she truly gained acknowledgment.

This would also go down as a truly miraculous piece of history. Great Britain, a nation that had been stubbornly arrogant for a lifetime, had actually completed the transfer of its sovereign status under the overwhelming pressure of Transcendence.

And the recipient of this transfer was a mere peasant shepherdess. Such an occurrence was completely unfathomable, regardless of the era!

This grand old empire was ultimately walking toward its demise. Replacing it was the Kingdom of Britain, rising from the myth-drenched lands of the Melor region!

The rule of the Anglo-Saxon people over this land was declared over. The Irish People, the Scots, the Welsh... all the Celtic People had once again returned to the negotiating table.

"Now commences the coronation ceremony of Livia, Queen of the Celtic People, the new King of Great Britain!" King Arthur had not left; instead, he acted as the master of ceremonies, proclaiming the commencement of this Ritual to the entire world!

An illusory shadow descended from the sky, carrying a gentle smile as it appeared before everyone.

It was a massive raven, which slowly shape-shifted in front of the crowd, manifesting into a beautiful goddess.

In the past, many might have been astonished or utterly shocked. But not this time. They had been stunned far too many times today; now, they were simply numb to it.

Yet, amidst that numbness, a spark of wonder remained. This was the Goddess Morgan, who had appeared before them previously. She had returned once again, not as the Goddess of War, but in her aspect as the Raven Goddess!

And this time, she carried a brilliant golden crown in her hands.

"A crown woven from oat stalks suits the brow of the Queen of the Wilderness far better than one of gold!"

As she spoke, she revealed to all the onlookers that this golden crown was actually intricately woven from simple oat stalks!

Hearing this, King Arthur stepped forward. "I, too, rejoice in your ascension to the throne. Since the goddess has woven the crown, I shall use the flames of Wales and the flames of the Otherworld to crown you!"

Reaching out, he imbued the crown gifted by the Raven Goddess with another layer of power. Flames burst from his hands, transforming into the light of life, intertwining around the crown!

The originally resplendent golden circlet was suddenly suffused with a vibrant Greenery. It was the essence of the Welsh oaks, combined with the radiant light of the fairies and Elves from the Otherworld!

With gold and green interlaced, the dazzling crown seemed to project an even greater majesty. It was not a power derived merely from the title of a monarch, but a force originating from nature itself, deeply rooted in the land.

"I, Arthur Pendragon, in the name of the gods, declare here and now that Livia Wilde shall be crowned as the King of Britain!"

With steady hands, he placed the crown upon the young woman's brow. Incredibly, the crown autonomously sprouted tendrils, securely locking itself atop her head!

With this, the new King ascended the throne!
