From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 441: A New World?

Chapter 441: A New World?

The first sensation everyone felt upon arriving in this world was "heaviness."

It was a heaviness entirely different from anything on Earth. It was not mere atmospheric pressure, but a terrifying burden originating from within their own bodies, magnifying their normal weight several times over!

"This is G-force overload!" someone among the challengers exclaimed in astonishment, before furrowing their brow and contradicting themselves. "No, I do not feel any acceleration. This is pure gravity... How is this possible?"

As a pilot, he knew exactly what this meant. If the gravity was not brought on by G-force, and there were no traces of technology or the Supernatural around them, was not the only remaining possibility the world itself?

Another challenger delivered a very decisive judgment. "This is no longer Earth! We have arrived in a genuine Otherworld!"

This was a world-renowned explorer. He was also a member of the Irish American community, named Edwin Greles.

When he passed the first trial, his fans had celebrated on the internet, so his words quickly caught the attention of many.

Brolly struggled to raise his hand—he had brought a massive arsenal with him, making his movements exceptionally sluggish—and asked, "Mr. Greles, how did you figure that out?"

"It is quite simple!" Edwin replied. "From where we stand, we can see the sun. Based on the solar altitude and the direction of our shadows, it is easy to determine that we are in the mid-latitude region of this planet's northern hemisphere. However, I have traveled to almost every corner of the world, and I do not recall any mid-latitude region in the northern hemisphere having a sea like this!"

He pointed at the grayish sea beside them, then aimed his finger at the towering Mountain Peak in the distance, declaring loudly, "This kind of terrain is absolutely perfect for my shows. If it existed, I definitely would not have missed it!""Since it is not there, it means it does not exist on our planet! Therefore, this definitely cannot be Earth!"

If anyone else had made such a bold claim, the crowd surely would not have believed it. Just how many places could one person have realistically visited?

Yet, the man before them was hailed as the godfather of outdoor reality shows and the leading figure among wilderness explorers. Many famous adventurers had been inspired by watching his videos during their childhoods.

Under these circumstances, his words naturally earned widespread approval. More and more people stepped forward, beginning to use their own professional expertise to analyze their surroundings.

"The solar elevation angle is wrong. That is not the sun we are familiar with!"

"The geological conditions are also off. Earth does not have this type of stone..."

"Do not look at me. Even though I study astronomy, it is not nighttime. I cannot glean any more information than the rest of you..."

The Irish People truly had a wealth of talent among them—astronomers, geologists, naturalists... Professionals from every imaginable field were present. In just a few brief exchanges, they managed to deconstruct the reality of this world.

"In other words, we have arrived on another planet, and the gravity here is much greater than on Earth!" Edwin analyzed. "It must be at least 1.5 times the normal gravity to make us feel this exhausted!"

"It might be even higher. If it were only 1.5 times the gravity, I would not be having such a hard time breathing!" the pilot noted. He regularly underwent G-force training, so no one's physical assessment was more authoritative than his.

A doctor in the crowd voiced their most fatal issue. "This level of gravity places immense strain on our bodies. Because humanity is accustomed to moving under Earth's gravity, our muscles, bones, and internal organs are completely unsuited for this environment!"

"So, this trial actually began the moment we arrived in this world, did it not? If we cannot withstand the crushing weight of this planet, we might end up dying right here!"

Those words truly shocked the crowd. A trial of nature—did it actually refer to the literal forces of nature?

It made sense. Who said the environment did not count as nature? Was this not the purest form of nature?

The test of the heart of nature had already begun the instant their feet touched this land!

Edwin immediately took off his backpack. "We can only travel further by reducing our load. There do not seem to be many enemies on this land, so let us all do our best!"

Hearing his words, the others finally snapped out of their daze. They hurriedly began to shed the supplies they had spent the entire previous day preparing.

To counter the potential dangers of the second trial and to prevent the unexpected disasters of the first, everyone had made exhaustive preparations. Weapons, medicine, food... they had brought everything imaginable.

Yet, none of them could have anticipated that the very first thing they would have to do in this world was discard their equipment.

Everyone was stripping off extra layers, dropping backpacks, and tossing aside weapons. It looked like an army of forty thousand collectively shedding their armor. This mass disarming display also allowed many to witness just how extraordinarily resourceful their fellow competitors were!

Some carried Guns, others wielded swords, and some had even brought a substantial amount of explosives.

The most extreme among them was Brolly. He had hauled no less than four weapons—ranging from a Pistol to an assault rifle, and even an Anti-Materiel Sniper Rifle. He had even packed a box of depleted uranium Armor-Piercing Rounds. He was truly armed to the teeth.

But now, these weapons were completely useless on this land. Under the crushing pressure, simply lifting an arm was a struggle, let alone firing a weapon. The powerful recoil would easily snap their bones and tear their muscles, which were already severely fatigued by the intense gravity.

Therefore, anyone who valued their life cast aside all thoughts of using these weapons. They decisively dropped them, keeping only backpacks containing food and Water, and marched toward the Tree of Life to claim their seeds.

Their movements became sluggish. Under the influence of gravity, their cardiovascular systems struggled, laboriously pumping blood throughout their bodies. This caused these challengers, who had already received Supernatural blessings, to trudge slowly across the terrain like a group of frail elders.

Naturally, this entire scene was being broadcast directly to the eyes of everyone back on Earth.

Their analyses, speculations, and environmental assessments were all transmitted back to the people of Earth.

Most viewers could only guess what kind of world it truly was. After all, besides the dense throng of people on the screen, the only other things visible were mere silhouettes of the environment.

For instance, there was the desolate land, the unfamiliar rocks, the towering Mountain Peak, and the vast, blurry sea. Beyond that, the only source of greenery was the Tree of Life belonging to the druids.

The public found it highly novel and fascinating, but to the nations of the world, the implications were vastly different!

Take Golden Hair, for example. The moment he saw that world, the tuft of hair on his head practically stood on end. Gasps of astonishment spilled ceaselessly from his mouth. "This is an entirely new planet? A planet capable of sustaining human life? A complete, untouched new land devoid of any other factions?"

"I am afraid so, Your Excellency!" Qian Si replied. Both were seasoned political operators, instantly grasping the underlying meaning in each other's words.

No nation on Earth understood what a new world meant better than America. After all, their country was the sole superpower—the beacon of the world—that had emerged victorious from the previous "Age of Discovery."

An empty world, boasting near-infinite resources and a far safer political ecosystem than Earth, would undoubtedly lead to a massive accumulation of wealth. It offered the ultimate capital for the rise of a colossal Empire!

"Why didn't anyone tell me that these Supernatural Factions could just carve out their own worlds? What have we been fighting over day in and day out?"

Golden Hair looked at the two men standing before him—one from The Church and the other from Āsathrú—and asked in utter frustration.

"Great Leader, The Lord is the master of faith across the Ten-thousand Worlds. He does not limit Spreading Faith to just a single realm!" the Bishop from the Vatican replied, neither haughty nor humble.

"Great Leader, the legend of the Nine Realms has always existed. Furthermore, Midgard is merely one world beneath the World Tree. The existence of a new world is perfectly normal." The Bishop from Āsathrú sounded even more like a Charlatan.

Hearing their empty platitudes, Golden Hair waved his hand in disappointment. "So neither of you can give me a way to reach this new world, am I right?"

"It seems I need to take a trip to the British Isles and have a proper chat with their Prime Minister!"

No matter what, America absolutely had to get a slice of the pie in this new world!
