Chapter 417: Get to Work, Gods!
Chapter 417: Get to Work, Gods!
Bai Yang clearly knew that in the various myths of the American Pantheon, there was an unparalleled worship of the Sun.
Even the Indigenous People near the Arctic Ocean, or the jungle natives in the southernmost parts of Chile in South America, had a very clear understanding of this fact.
In their Mythology, the Sun was an indispensable and incomparably powerful element. Therefore, Bai Yang's design undoubtedly patched up the final flaw of this world.
"Crown," Alvin marveled, "you have completed the final shaping of this world. In the future, perhaps after a long period of time, this world will transform into a true Transcendent realm!"
He could also see that this world had achieved a genuine self-sustaining cycle. It could even be considered a perfect Energy structure. As long as no one broke this balance, and Bai Yang applied a bit more divine power, the world would gradually become whole as the Light of the Sun was released!
"Yes. When this world truly becomes a Transcendent realm, the Sun God will fully mature, and the deities of the Americas will truly grow into their power!" Bai Yang nodded gently, speaking of a clearly visible future.
The Core had given him a tremendous surprise. This creation, which did not align with his original vision yet perfectly suited the American Pantheon, left him feeling somewhat astonished.
Originally, Bai Yang was still pondering the emergence method and anchor point for this Divine System. Now, there was no need to think about it at all. The Core had already resolved the most crucial elements. All he had left to do was the simplest step—Time Immersion!
As the saying went, he was not here to deceive anyone; he was genuinely here to forge a Divine System!
Since the anchor point existed, the stories regarding the American Pantheon had also been established by him. He had even planned out the various Divine Systems, diverse Deities, and Believers.Relying on those fragmented pieces of information, the Divine System Bai Yang built already possessed tens of millions of Believers across the American Continent. While this number of Believers was definitely not enough to establish a massive pantheon, it was genuinely sufficient to create a foundational Divine System!
Moreover, Bai Yang was still gathering Believers on Earth and dropping Believers into this world. In the future, he would forge a World of Intertwined Reality, continuing to introduce even more Believers!
Only in this way could a true Divine System be established. Once this world developed significantly and the various Divine Realms developed their Embryonic Forms, the number of Believers would likely reach the standard he had set for the pantheon!
Thinking of this, he finally let out a laugh. "This is the place. Let's leave a plot of land for our three exchange students. It will give them a sense of participation and get them to do some work for us!"
Ultimately, Bai Yang had figured out a plan for the three exchange students. So next, it was their turn to take the stage!
......
On Europa, the three Otherworld Gods appeared somewhat bored out of their minds.
Because there was absolutely nothing on this moon, only endless cold. This actually suited Lova quite well, considering his Divine Portfolio was cold.
However, for the three Deities, the situation felt rather agonizing.
Especially since beneath their feet, right before their eyes, and throughout their entire field of vision, they could visibly see massive amounts of Matter that could even be considered wondrous items to them. Yet, they could not take any of it. How could their hearts not ache with torment?
They were merely Avatars, not their true bodies. They possessed a certain amount of power, but not much. Furthermore, without the permission of this world's Deities, even if they managed to grab some Matter, how much could they actually take away?
The feeling of having a delicious cake right in front of them but being unable to take a single bite was truly unbearable.
Nevertheless, the spirits of the three gods had grown quite comfortable under the nurturing influence of this world. After all, this world was indeed much vaster than the Dylan Continent. Both the breadth of vision and the sheer expanse of the world were significantly larger.
This kind of expansion would leave them with numerous benefits when they elevated themselves in the future. Although they could not fully comprehend such matters, they acutely sensed some of the advantages!
"The gods of the Dylan Continent, I presume?" Right at that moment, a goddess riding a Sky Horse flew down before them. "His Excellency Loki is currently en route to Alfheim and will not return for a long time. He has entrusted you to another deity!"
"The neighboring Aztec pantheon requires the assistance of some Deities. They will also pay a certain reward in accordance with the Contract!"
Hearing this, Faisal frowned. "We are here to exchange Knowledge. Since His Excellency Loki is absent, does that mean the Contract is void?"
"The Contract remains valid. Once you have spent enough time here, you will also receive His Excellency's Bestowal! You may choose to stay here and await His Excellency Loki's return. All provisions will remain as usual!" the Valkyrie stated with extreme indifference.
The goddess's gaze swept over them, seemingly not looking at them as beings, but rather as some kind of special Goods, entirely devoid of emotion.
This actually made the several Deities quite displeased, but there was no good solution. After all, in the eyes of this world's gods, their home world truly was just a backwater Countryside. It was perfectly normal for this haughty goddess to look down on them.
"If you are unwilling, Heimdall can also send you back to your own world!" the Valkyrie added after a moment of thought. "Resources will still be given, but those who disrespect the gods will lose the opportunity to ever re-enter Yggdrasil!"
Hearing this, the three of them shut their mouths. They were living quite well in this world and naturally did not want to go back. In this entirely new realm, their bodies felt different, and the experience was worlds apart from their home. Even just sitting here, they could feel the benefits!
Ultimately, the three nodded. "It is boring staying here anyway, so why not go take a look at the other Divine System?"
They were all intensely curious. The items provided by the Asgardian Pantheon were resources, the Hard Currency of Deities, things capable of facilitating their Ascension. So, what would the neighboring pantheon, which was on the same level as the Asgardian Pantheon, offer them?
In the next second, the beam of the Bifrost descended, carrying the power of time and space, transporting them to a distant destination.
Appearing before them was a handsome man dressed in animal skins and wielding an Obsidian Spear, yet flashes of a certain Divine Nature were already evident within him.
"Are you the saints invited by His Excellency the Sun God?" Guatmus asked very solemnly. "Thank you for coming. The Aztecs cannot repay this debt of gratitude!"
"We are. And you are..." In the end, it was Faisal who stepped forward, looking at the Mortal before him with somewhat displeased eyes.
Was this Divine System disrespecting them too much? To actually use a Mortal to receive them?
"I am a Warrior of the great Creator God, Huitzilopochtli, and also the King of the Believers in this land, Guatmus!"
Upon hearing this sentence, the expressions of the three gods finally relaxed. A mere Mortal had no qualifications, but a King certainly did. After all, the person standing before them commanded a very real and tangible population of Believers.
As someone who could become a Mythological Hero and a King, Guatmus naturally was not completely blind to social cues. He had also noticed the impatience of these Gods, which was exactly why he introduced himself in such a manner.
He then continued, "His Excellency is currently handling God War Affairs and cannot come in person. However, His Excellency has passed down an Oracle stating that the heaven and earth of this world can be temporarily entrusted to you..."
He furrowed his brows, uttering a specific word. "His Excellency said this can be considered an... Internship?"
Hearing this, the three Deities finally raised their heads to properly observe this world!
This single glance truly gave them a massive shock!
How was this a Lesser World? This was clearly a massive world that was slowly growing!
The laws of this world were incomplete, and it did not even possess any native Deities. The only thing present was the radiance resembling Divine Power scattering down from the sky, proving that an existence at the Creator God level was genuinely forging a new world here!
In the primordial stages of this world, if any Deities could truly take root here, their starting point would have to be as foundational gods governing domains like Night, Light, Order, or Magic, right?
They might even become primordial gods of the Sky, Ocean, or Earth, or perhaps Elemental Gods of Fire, Water, or Wind!
How could this be called an Internship? This was a Heavenly Great Path leading straight toward Powerful Divine Power!
Did handing this world over to them mean that...
Hal asked in disbelief, "Are you saying that the primordial stage of this world is being entrusted to us?"
Guatmus cast a sideways glance at him. What kind of beautiful dream was he having? "According to His Excellency's words, you are being allowed to walk freely within this world..."
This statement left the three Deities feeling somewhat regretful. They really had thought the world was being completely handed over to them. However, thinking about it logically, what kind of gods were they? Even combined, the three of them barely reached the level of Weak Divine Power. How could such an incredible opportunity ever fall into their laps?
But even so, they were more than excited enough. This was the primordial dawn of a world! Something that only ancient deities heard of in Mythology could ever encounter, and now they had encountered it!
This was a heaven-defying stroke of fortune!
Of course, they could never have imagined that the real reason they were sent here was simply that Bai Yang was short on manpower and needed people to do the heavy lifting.
