From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 412: Kukulcan's Questioning

Chapter 412: Kukulcan's Questioning

"So fast. Over a thousand years, these otherworldly monsters have been completely eradicated from this world!" Baldr exclaimed, then raised his hand. "Since I am already here, there is no need to trouble the others!"

"The skeletal steeds are here, as are the Valkyries. Valkyries, summon Odin's Boat, the brilliance of sparks, the path of frostblades and forged hammers, in the name of the Bifrost!"

Under everyone's watchful eyes, this incredibly radiant deity spread his arms open. "In my name, Baldr, the God of Light, open the halls of Valhalla!"

Ancient proverbs seemed to echo through the air, materializing around Baldr:

"May the Boat of Heroes

Ferry you to battles unending!

Carry you to feasts unceasing!

Guide you into the undying day!"

The deity slowly ascended into the sky and, to the absolute shock of everyone present, tore open a resplendent golden portal!

Inside the portal, a magnificent cluster of palaces appeared before their eyes. Before the gateway, the group of Viking warriors who should have been completely dead reappeared, looking incredibly bewildered, before marching step by step toward Valhalla! The resurrection of these warriors seemed incredibly brutal and abrupt, yet it perfectly aligned with the legends of the Norse gods.

This was how it was meant to be for them—death, then resurrection, followed by a glorious march into Valhalla!

"The splendor of Valhalla is dyed in the blood of every Einherjar!" Baldr declared. The Chief God then looked at the crowd below, taking in the ships and the remaining Native Americans.

"If these were normal times, I would surely join you in Valhalla to drink and rejoice. But for now, let us leave the final tale to the Feathered Serpent God!"

Hearing this, the people present grew incredibly curious!

After all, in their eyes, Baldr's status was already supremely exalted. Having presided over the Vikings' funeral and the propagation of the Norse faith, shouldn't he press his advantage and continue spreading his influence?

Why yield the main stage to the indigenous deities?

"The Feathered Serpent God? Is it Quetzalcoatl?" someone asked curiously.

No one could answer. The Americans appeared rather tense. After all, they knew that this very being had once unleashed a terrifying storm upon Luo City. If he returned, would he seek further revenge against them?

Hearing Baldr's words, Carl finally stood up. Leading the three Transcendent beings beside him, he stepped onto an island and began a funeral belonging to their own people!

Compared to the two religious factions from earlier, Carl's group had suffered substantial losses. He had brought a team of over a hundred Transcendents to fight alongside Evan, yet less than thirty of them had survived!

And this was only because many of them hadn't died outright; the animal spirits residing within them had allowed them to barely cling to life.

This time, the entire indigenous population offered their highest eulogy to these fallen martyrs.

For them, the emotions were far more direct. The Church and the Asgardian Pantheon fought for the safety of the planet, but they had fought to protect their own kin!

If Kuchamama had actually won, they would undeniably be the first to face complete annihilation!

"Listen! Kukulcan's scales are vibrating—

Your wounds are the holy wells leading to the Underworld

The gushing blood is the sap of reborn corn

Today, we repaint the steps of Buluk Chabtan with blood to guide you back to your rightful place!"

Carl's voice boomed out. Although heavily injured, he had regained his strength with the help of divine magic and now stood before everyone present!

Using the obsidian blade in his hand, he slit his own wrist, letting his blood drip onto the island beneath his feet as he fell to his knees!

"O Feathered Serpent God! I shall incinerate my flesh, dissolve my body, and rise as a whirlwind of dust to beseech your descent!"

"I beseech you to grant us the hope of the future! And carry the bodies of these warriors into the Realm of the Gods!"

He looked up as the blood from his hand flowed upward into the sky in defiance of gravity. Before everyone's eyes, the crimson droplets slowly formed a short sentence: "As long as the corn still sprouts, the gods are still watching!"

High above, something resembling an ear of corn blossomed, spreading across the celestial expanse. It expanded steadily, ultimately transforming into a colossal phantom of a feathered serpent that seemed capable of blanketing the entire sky!

At that exact moment, anyone possessing Native American bloodline—and who still acknowledged that heritage—felt a raw, undisguised, and overwhelming pressure erupting from deep within their veins!

The massive feathered serpent seemed to scrutinize this world. After sweeping its gaze around, it locked eyes with the four gods observing from a distance!

That single glance left them trembling with fear. There were simply too many deities in this world. And how was this yet another Chief God of a pantheon, wielding such powerful divine power?

Were beings with powerful divine power just handed out for free in this world?

The feathered serpent coalesced before their eyes, elevating the corpses on the ground into the air. They transformed into a myriad of spirit animals, gathering into a cluster in the sky before the giant Feathered Serpent God swallowed them whole!

Then, the Feathered Serpent God gradually shrank until he stood before them, transforming into a middle-aged Native American man who radiated absolute wisdom. He approached the two from earlier. "Thank you for everything you have done for this land... but before we proceed, please wait a moment! This land is in agony..."

His voice was incredibly gentle, yet his arms seemed to course with boundless power. With a wave of his hand, the entire ocean actually began to ebb!

Yes, the seawater surged, converging toward this sea area while pushing something hidden within the depths up to the surface!

Though the battle had been confined to this specific sea area, in reality, every single country surrounding the Gulf of Mexico had been put on high alert during those few short hours!

Because of Kuchamama's authority over the ocean, many regions across the area had already been plunged into catastrophic marine disasters.

Tsunamis, hurricanes, and torrential rainstorms were merely the mildest of the crises. The secondary disasters were far more prevalent, and crucially, aside from America, Mexico, and Colombia, most of the nations bordering this sea completely lacked the capacity for disaster relief!

Even now, the tidal waves hadn't receded. This maritime disaster would likely persist for some time!

Because the seawater had submerged numerous regions, trapping their inhabitants in catastrophe and despair!

But with the arrival of Kukulcan, this Feathered Serpent God who held supreme prestige across the Americas actually drew back the ocean waters. Many people who had been drowning in the deluge suddenly realized they had been saved!

And upon the sandy beaches where the seawater retreated, a radiant Sun God Emblem belonging to Kukulcan gleamed brilliantly!

"This is not the Second Creator, Quetzalcoatl!" someone exclaimed in shock. "It is the true Feathered Serpent God, God of Storms, Creator God, Ruler, God of Death and Rebirth, Protector God of Priests, God of Agriculture, God of Plants, God of Wind and Movement, the Supreme God—Kukulcan!"

Why did they make this judgment? Because of his benevolence!

If, in Aztec mythology, the Feathered Serpent God was merely one of the deities and a member of the creator pantheon, then in ancient Mayan mythology, Kukulcan was the King of Gods—a true Supreme God!

In a sense, he was a deity equal to the Sun God, as both were supreme, paramount gods!

However, compared to the brutal fury of Quetzalcoatl, Kukulcan's image was astonishingly positive!

He was a wise sage and a sovereign, a powerful Sun God, a God of Agriculture who blessed all things. He was the most powerful yet gentlest entity to grace this land.

"That really is your style. The first thing you do upon arriving is guide the ocean and mend the land. As expected of Supreme God Kukulcan!" Baldr remarked. "You didn't call us all here just to watch you do this, did you?"

Hearing this, the surrounding people finally realized the truth. So this entire event was actually orchestrated by the Feathered Serpent God, Kukulcan? What was he planning to say in front of the entire world?

Kukulcan had no intention of keeping them in suspense. "The gods are reviving because the damage from that otherworldly Divine War has finally been repaired. The foreign deities of this world have also been cleaned up. The mistakes we made in ancient times have finally been corrected!"

"However, why is it that our followers are the ones paying the price to correct these mistakes, and not yours?"

The great deity's eyes swept across everyone present, his gaze filled with unmistakable dissatisfaction.

Hearing this, Saint Peter frowned and said, "Kukulcan, His Excellency Jesus has already made this matter very clear. We will bear the consequences of our faults, but we will not abandon the believers on this land!"

"And that is the reason your Heavenly armies are still locked in a standoff with our gods across all worlds?" Kukulcan retorted sharply. "We do not fear Heaven, and the people of this land should not fear anyone else either!"

His voice suddenly deepened, growing resonant and loud. At that moment, his words rang clearly in everyone's ears. "Rise, Children of the Gods!"

"I stand here to proclaim the divine word unto you:"

"The King of Gods, K'omu Kaamphuus (Yum Kaax), has awakened from the Thirteen Heavens! The gods shall descend upon the world once more, and a new sun has already risen high in the sky!"

"The Children of the Gods must return to the divine faith!"

"The gods forbid you from bowing your heads! The gods stand with you!"

Hearing this, even Angus looked somewhat frustrated. At the end of the day, this was still a battle to snatch up believers! This was truly shameless—even a Chief God had shown up in person!

This was the ultimate decree of the Native American deities and the absolute climax of this religious propaganda campaign!

The indigenous gods had used the divine descent of a Chief God to herald the return of their faith! This revelation threw the entire Americas into a frenzy!
