From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 368: Three Suns?

Chapter 368: Three Suns?

"A Real World experiment..." Alvin instantly understood Bai Yang's intentions. "Crown, are you trying to conduct a Real World evolution under the framework of a virtual world?"

"To be even more radical, if we take this information called Souls, give them their own bodies, their own self-awareness, and their own stories, would the Wish Power they generate be virtual or real?"

Bai Yang wondered aloud, his tone laced with Curiosity. However, Alvin could not provide an answer, nor could anyone else.

"Let us test it out. If successful, we might be able to use this Starry Sky as a foundation in the future to establish all kinds of Divine Pantheons of our own!"

Bai Yang made his decision regardless. "This Universe does not lack Matter, nor does it lack space; it only lacks life! If we can establish such a biological system, or even a complete world system, it might just allow the Population reproduction rate of this world to accelerate further!"

The carrying capacity of Earth had already reached its limit. Bai Yang was well aware of this fact.

Furthermore, due to the descent of Transcendent powers, this planet would reach its limit even faster. Industry merely consumed resources, but Transcendence consumed Matter—Matter that could not be recreated. At least, not with the current level of human technology.

Industry was still a form of collective consumption, whereas Transcendence involved the individual consumption of every single person. With such a massive accumulation of people, even the most minuscule drain would become incomprehensibly exaggerated.

Therefore, as Bai Yang elevated the Transcendent aspects of this world, the planet's future consumption of Matter was bound to become significantly larger. He did not want to deplete all of this planet's resources, so this endeavor was also a way to find future immigration destinations for others.

At this thought, Bai Yang suddenly turned to look at Alvin with a hint of Curiosity. "According to your records, where exactly did the Matter consumed by the deities go? Why hasn't the world fallen into decline?"He recalled that in his own world, the consumption of Matter could be offset by converting so-called dark Energy. But in the world where the Dylan Continent was located, how did they go about replacing the lost Matter?

"It is through Divine War, Crown!" Alvin replied. "A Divine War breaks out after a certain period of time. As a result, deities fall, Divine Kingdoms are destroyed, and worlds collapse. The consumed resources are concentrated within the deities, and Death simply returns everything back to the world!"

"And the world itself is actually capable of expanding its Matter. The borders of the Dylan Continent are constantly expanding. I imagine that plays a part in it as well."

Hearing this, Bai Yang understood immediately, drawing inferences from the explanation. "Ah... so the Space-Time Rift is not actually a crisis, but rather a counterattack from the world?"

"After all, once they leave the world, they completely vanish along with all the Matter on them, causing the total amount of Matter in the world to decrease..."

Bai Yang realized why the resistance of the Space-Time Rift became increasingly exaggerated the stronger a deity was.

A world was much like a person. If you lost a bit of dandruff or clipped a nail, you wouldn't feel any reaction at all.

But if you lost a chunk of skin or a piece of flesh, the reaction would undoubtedly be violent.

From that perspective, if a piece of your skin or flesh wanted to run away from home, would you allow it?

This line of reasoning helped Bai Yang grasp just how difficult it would be for those deities to cross over into his world.

"So in other words, moving things from this world to that world would be much simpler, wouldn't it?" Bai Yang suddenly entertained a few extra thoughts. "Hey, that's not a bad idea!"

However, that was a matter for the distant future. He was in no rush to head to a world swarming with gods just to take a beating.

Bai Yang gazed down at the planet beneath his feet. Under the influence of his God Power, a group of people emerged on Proxima Centauri.

...

"Is this the new world?" Guatmus, clad in animal hides and holding a flintlock, asked with a tinge of Curiosity.

Behind him stood a large crowd of people who looked as though they had just walked out of a War. Still carrying a Bloody stench, they gripped spears, metal swords, and older firearms, silently taking in the scene before them.

Before them lay an almost entirely desolate plain. There was nothing on it; there was not even a sky. Lifting their heads, they could see an endless river of stars. Guatmus turned to look at his high priest with a remarkably heavy expression. "Is this the world you brought us to by following the Oracle? Even though we survived, there is... absolutely nothing here!"

Who was Guatmus? The last ruler of the Aztec Empire, a man hailed as the final eagle of Mexico. Despite being at a severe disadvantage, he still led his army and civilians in resisting the invasion of Spain. Even when allies defected, supplies were Severed, and his military was hopelessly outmatched, he defended the capital for ninety-three days!

He had even repelled the enemy's attacks multiple times during that siege. In Mexico, he was known as the last eagle of the Aztecs, a figure akin to a legendary ancient Hero.

And now, this Hero had brought the remaining Warriors and citizens to this lonely, desolate place.

Hearing his words, the high priest remained silent for a moment before speaking slowly, "Respected Great Chief, this was not my choice, but the choice of the Sun God!"

Hearing this, Guatmus fell silent. Of course, he knew who the Sun God was.

Huitzilopochtli, the god of the Mexica People. He was the deity who guided their race to settle in the Valley of Mexico, and he was the most revered Chief God in their sacrificial grounds.

Because he was the Sun God, the Creator God of this era, the leader of the Mexica People, and the supreme ruler of the Aztecs. That name meant absolute authority; it was beyond question and beyond doubt!

"If that is the case, then let the Sacrifice begin!" Guatmus declared. "This is a completely unfamiliar territory. Aside from the grassy plain we stand upon, there are no Offerings whatsoever. Since it has come to this..."

Many people immediately grew tense. According to the rules of the Empire, someone needed to be chosen as an Offering.

Just as some elders closed their eyes, feeling that their lives had reached an end, Guatmus's words forced their eyes back open. "I am a failed King. Let me serve as the Offering to appease the wrath of the Sun God!"

This man—who had taken command in a time of crisis, who had never enjoyed the benefits of being the Great Chief yet was constantly hindered at every turn, and who had led them in a protracted resistance against invaders—chose the most heroic method of Death, dying as an Offering!

"I hope to use my life in exchange for a brand-new path!" Guatmus proclaimed. "With my life, I beseech Crown Huitzilopochtli to once again guide us toward a new future! On this path, we shall unite, develop our Realm, and never again be subjugated by foreigners!"

Without any hesitation after finishing his sentence, he drew his personal Dagger—an iron blade inlaid with gemstones and gold that would be considered a priceless treasure in this Realm—and plunged it straight into his own heart:

"Oh, Sun God! This is my Sacrifice, these are my sins! Please take pity on our people and allow them to survive in this new world!"

This most courageous Warrior died in the very first moments of their survival. He perished before everyone's eyes, earning the silent, profound reverence of all his citizens.

"Tenochtitlan has fallen, but the spirit of the Aztecs has not! We shall eventually forge our own future in this land!"

The high priest shouted loudly. Following the Death of the Great Chief, he was now the supreme leader. He had to rally everyone's spirits in order to accomplish such a grand Mission!

"Now, let us pray to the great Sun God! Let us beg for his guidance, to lead us toward the shores of hope!"

Everyone—a massive crowd of over a hundred thousand people—fell to their knees together, praying in the same direction, as if harboring some deep Expectation.

And this Sun God did not let their Expectation fall flat. The light of three suns suddenly cast down from the sky, leaving everyone kneeling in bewildered awe.

"By the Sun God! Could this be the sun world of the previous three epochs?" Even the high priest was astounded. He stared in absolute terror at the three suns in the sky, while a power known as Divine Faith flowed endlessly from his body.

Bai Yang looked at Alvin with utter composure. "How is it? Have you calculated the results?"

"The calculations are complete, Crown!" Alvin replied. "The mass provided by the Wish Power is half that of Earth's, but it is indeed physical Wish Power, which means..."

"The plan is a success!" Bai Yang snapped his fingers and added, "This method works. The Souls of the dead can still generate Wish Power through this form of reborn creation. And the Price is merely a portion of God Power and memories crafted to make them believe!"

Bai Yang nodded in deep gratification, feeling that all his efforts had been worth it. It was only at this moment that his "Lord of the Ten-thousand Worlds" plan had truly taken shape!

Let this expanding world begin with the gods of the Americas!
