Chapter 313: To Refine the False into Truth
Chapter 313: To Refine the False into Truth
America, San Diego, Vespucci Town.
Bai Yang still chose to make landfall in this place. He carried a sense of composure, completely different from how he felt when he first arrived here.
When he first got here, he was lost and hesitant. He had no idea what to do, how to act, or what his future would look like.
But now, everything was different!
He had gone from an unlucky bastard hijacked by a Godhead to the true mastermind shaping the mythological transformation of this world, and it had only taken him barely half a year.
So many things had happened over the past six months...
A flash of nostalgia crossed Bai Yang's eyes before his expression grew resolute.
"The world has changed, but I have never wavered. I am still making great strides on the path known as Transcendence!"
He gazed at the small church of Vespucci Town before him, which had undergone a massive transformation during this period.
The tiny building that previously had its glass shattered was now decorated in radiant splendor. A new structure had risen from the ground next to the church, and in front of it stood a towering statue. However, the statue seemed to have been altered. Its original appearance could no longer be seen; it was now a smaller statue of the Virgin Mary.
"Cardinal Angus was unwilling to have a statue erected in his honor, so San Diego County had no choice but to change it to the Virgin Mary..."
"As expected of a priest from our town, his noble character is truly admirable... I wonder when he'll come back to visit?"
"Who knows? He'll probably return, right?"
Two people walked past Bai Yang, their casual conversation granting him and Alvin a deeper understanding of the town's current state.
The small town had always been like this. Because the population was small and the residents were intimately familiar with one another, almost everyone knew and understood each other. As a result, the foundation of belief here was incredibly solid.
The belief here served as the first stop in the Christian system Bai Yang had established. Unless absolutely necessary, he did not want any major issues cropping up in this place.
"It seems that neither international turmoil nor domestic upheavals can affect the ecosystem of a small town like this. America's culture really is quite interesting!" Bai Yang nodded in satisfaction as he looked over the town, which remained almost completely unchanged except for the church.
The relationship between the cities and the countryside, as well as the central government and local authorities in this country, was extremely fragmented.
Just like Luo City and San Diego, even the governor had no direct control over the situation in a small town like this. Everything in the town was jointly managed by the sheriff and the priest. In some places, even the sheriff's role was a part-time job, making it function like an independent little kingdom.
After Father Angus left, Vespucci Town quickly selected a new priest, a young man named Jameson. They even had a nun now—Fuli, the teenage girl who had been possessed by an evil spirit.
Bai Yang had met both of them before. They were original residents of the town who chose not to leave, opting instead to stay behind, just like their ancestors once did.
Bai Yang had some impression of the young man, Jameson. During the feather crisis, he was the one who tried to stop Martin Drasso, though he ultimately failed to prevent the man from touching the feather.
Now, it seemed he had passed Angus's tests and became the new priest of this tiny church. The radiant glow of the Precept upon him was quite obvious!
"Crown, this initial birthplace of belief will grow for eons under the protection of The Church!" Alvin said with a smile. "You don't need to worry about that!"
"Of course I know. The Divine Fire is still keeping an eye on this place!" Bai Yang stated. "But, haven't you noticed? The Devil we initially designed is actually still in the town!"
Alvin paused for a moment, his gaze shifting toward a specific location before he gave a slight nod. "It really is..."
"A monster that shouldn't exist is now genuinely real. That is the issue we need to ponder!" Bai Yang said, his curiosity piqued.
Through their True Vision, they could see that the Devil banished by Angus had not actually left the town.
In fact, everyone back then believed that Raum was that Devil, but that wasn't the case.
In Bai Yang's original design, Raum didn't even exist. He was just an illusion inside a Dreamscape. The only thing that truly existed was that single tail feather.
Furthermore, in the initial design, the Devil didn't exist either. It was merely a Devil set up by Bai Yang. In reality, it was nothing more than a mass of dark aura, a trick of light and shadow, and a projected voice. Back then, where would he have found the Wish Power to fabricate various creatures based on history and mythology like he could now?
In truth, none of it was real. The only things he had at his disposal were minor visual effects and a slight grasp of human nature.
But now, this was exactly what astonished Bai Yang!
That mere light and shadow, that snippet of sound he had designed, had now manifested as an undeniable truth in this realm. It had become a true Devil, an outcome he truly hadn't anticipated.
Alvin seemed to realize something and quickly said, "Crown, this makes perfect sense! To Refine the False into Truth... isn't this exactly what that means?"
Bai Yang slowly nodded. He had already pulled out the cluster of Divine Fire, and the flickering trails within the flames assured him that all of this was real.
The appearance of this Devil stemmed directly from the high-dimensional power expression of the Divine Fire!
Yes, the Divine Fire was slowly applying corrections, reaching from the past into the present.
Of course, the Divine Miracle Bai Yang had initially designed was full of flaws. Because he possessed very little power at the time, many aspects felt quite hollow and monotonous. That was simply unavoidable.
This monotony would definitely affect his special arrangements in this world in the future, as it was best to completely avoid leaving any room for doubt. Once doubt took root, it would inevitably expand from a tiny crack into an unbridgeable abyss.
Therefore, when the Divine Fire entered its second stage, it had already begun to clean up all the loopholes across the world!
Through their eyes, they could clearly see that it wasn't just the events happening here. Across the entirety of the Americas and Europe, various bursting Divine Miracles and historical remnants were all being repaired and reshaped.
For example, the Hell that originally only existed within Bai Yang's design now actually possessed a virtual-like prototype, much like Heaven.
Those Angels, who previously only occasionally appeared in the specific zones Bai Yang granted, now had their own defined physical forms.
"To Refine the False into Truth, it really is To Refine the False into Truth!" Alvin exclaimed in awe. "Crown, we seem to have missed something... If the Divine Fire hadn't transformed into a world, but rather condensed into a Godhead, we might already possess an illusory Supreme Divine Pantheon right now!"
"This corrective power has pushed its completeness and overall perfection to an unimaginable level!"
Bai Yang nodded approvingly. "Not bad, this is what active subjective initiative looks like! However, you are wrong about one thing, Alvin!"
Alvin looked taken aback. "You mean..."
"A so-called Supreme Divine Pantheon, without the backing of absolute power, can only rely on a Godhead. And who would control that Godhead? Wouldn't it still just be me?" Bai Yang said calmly. "That isn't a stage a healthy Divine Pantheon should be in. Does it really make that huge of a difference to me whether I have a Godhead or not?"
He was the sole master of all the power in this world and already possessed a Godhead. Unless Bai Yang truly wanted to become Jehovah and directly accept and assimilate the Godhead, none of it held any real meaning to him!
"It is better to let it slowly grow on its own. The Divine Fire will mature alongside the world. Once all belief is gathered and every system is perfected, this Divine Fire will automatically integrate into the Divine Kingdom and completely manifest the entire system!"
"At that time, all power will be unleashed. All the Saints, Angels, petitioners, and even the Divine Kingdom itself will reach the absolute pinnacle of their power. That is what a truly healthy Divine Pantheon looks like!"
Bai Yang looked at the Divine Fire. "You're doing a fantastic job!"
As if it could hear his praise, the Divine Fire danced and flickered twice in a highly animated manner, expressing its joy!
Alvin asked curiously, "Then Crown, should we intervene in the matters here?"
He was referring to the potential harm this Devil might cause. At their current level, they could easily step in to handle it.
"There's no need. Can't you see that this Devil is currently hiding in the house furthest away from The Church?" Bai Yang said placidly. "It fears the power radiating from this church! Perhaps one day, our Father Jameson will uncover this darkness and clean it up himself!"
"This is also a reason for Christianity to continue growing stronger in this country!"
Alvin nodded. "You are right, Crown! They already possess a self-reacting mechanism. This Extraordinary Power System can be considered fully formed! It's just that the public opinion in this country isn't particularly friendly toward The Church!"
Hearing this, Bai Yang grew curious. "What do you mean by that?"
"Well... The public discourse that should be focused on Transcendence has instead been completely monopolized by the death of a single person!" Alvin explained, sounding puzzled. "Right now, the people of this country are all discussing a man named Charlie..."
"Oh?"
