From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 280: The Looming of a Great Crisis

Chapter 280: The Looming of a Great Crisis

"The Faith Sealing the Nation plan... Crown, this will definitely cause some troubles. Is that why you chose to place the location in this country?" Alvin asked.

"It was actually just a coincidence!" Bai Yang replied casually. "Besides, this country is quite suitable, isn't it? Although it lacks utter chaos, its underlying atmosphere of repression might make it even more fitting for this kind of plan!"

"Cleaning up a mess is ultimately much more reasonable than creating chaos ourselves..." Bai Yang continued to watch the scene unfolding before him. "And as for us, we can go and shape the matters concerning Shinto and Japanese Buddhism..."

"The deities and sects of a country like this could perhaps be called secondary gods? Transcendent Beings that merely occupy a single nation or city will always be weaker than those pantheons and deities renowned across the entire world!"

Alvin inquired, "Then, Crown, how do you plan to design it?"

"Naturally, by using the intertwining of virtuality and reality as the blueprint! Our Illusory World should also start moving. We can take this opportunity to find a special outlet for this intertwined Wish Power to completely vent itself!" Bai Yang declared. "Let us go. We are heading to Takamagahara!"

The Faith Sealing the Nation plan, as previously mentioned, was a dimension born from the Wish Power guided by Bai Yang. To put it in other words, it was essentially a special experiment.

The previously accumulated Wish Power had already begun to spread across the entire planet in accordance with Bai Yang's plan. Naturally, such an expansion would give rise to certain problems.

Among these issues naturally included the concept of the soul. Originally just an abstract idea and a flow of information, under the continuous guidance of Wish Power, it had already begun to evolve into a true soul system!

This was an incredibly rare and miraculous occurrence. It meant that this world was truly transforming from a magicless realm into a Transcendent world. In a sense, this was the beginning of the Spiritual Qi Revival. However, a Spiritual Qi Revival was always fraught with risks, because the very first batch of Transcendent Beings to gain power were generally not righteous figures. Instead, they were more likely to be a group of Cultists or demonic monsters and ghosts!

Such a development would be incredibly dangerous for any nation. To ensure that the danger remained manageable, Bai Yang decided to find a specific country to serve as an experimental base!

As it happened, he had just come from Southeast Asia. For the final node of the Faith Sealing the Nation plan, Japan was Bai Yang's choice.

One could only say it was a very coincidental and perfectly logical choice, completely devoid of any personal bias or ulterior motives. Furthermore, the country was relatively small. If any unforeseen circumstances truly arose, Bai Yang would be fully capable of keeping the situation under control.

Regardless, this nation was definitely the most suitable candidate. It was repressed yet orderly, and maddening yet still retained a sense of clarity. There were even brief flashes of humanity's brilliance shining through within its borders!

"Alvin, there is actually one more problem we need to resolve!" After finishing all of this, Bai Yang brought up the topic.

"Please speak!" Alvin quickly replied.

"Do you still remember the reason Fang Ergu came here?" Bai Yang rapped his knuckles against the surface, a hint of vigilance in his eyes. "He said that he was chased here, even willing to pay an enormous Price just to cross over!"

Alvin was startled. "Do you mean to say... that on the other side of the Space-Time Rift right now, there is an even more powerful existence?"

They could both realize just what kind of deity could force an established Medium Divine Power to flee for his life in such a desperate panic. It was highly unlikely to be another Medium Divine Power; it had to be a Powerful Divine Power!

"The Lord of Radiance? The God of War? The Lord of Order? The Abyss Lord? An Infernal Overlord? Or perhaps some Elemental Lord hiding within the sea of Planes, or maybe even some ancient legendary arcanist?" Alvin listed, his thoughts heavy and complicated. "Only an existence of that caliber could force a Medium Divine Power into such a miserable state..."

"Or, it is not entirely impossible that it was some hostile, order-aligned Medium Divine Power. For example, the God of Justice, or the High Priest of Compassion..." Alvin tried to rationalize.

Bai Yang decisively shut down that line of thought. "Do not harbor such unrealistic fantasies. We must prepare for the absolute worst-case scenario. We will simply assume that the entity behind this Space-Time Rift is a Powerful Divine Power!"

He did not feel there was anything wrong with taking this stance; on the contrary, he saw it as an opportunity!

The very nature of the Space-Time Rift meant that the opposing party had no way to cross over with overwhelming force. They could only take their time and plot slowly.

Even a Powerful Divine Power had to abide by these rules. Furthermore, Dylan Continent lacked transcendent special deities like Gods of Time or Gods of Space. Therefore, even though the situation sounded incredibly dangerous, it did not mean they were left completely without options.

"Alvin, what do you think would happen if we set up a spatial passage right in front of this rift, and then anchored that passage directly to a star?" Bai Yang suddenly asked with a hint of curiosity.

Even if the inhabitants of the neighboring Universe lacked the abilities of space and time, he certainly had them!

Kaos was still slumbering in his hands, and the authority over space he possessed was undeniably real!

Alvin paused for a moment upon hearing this, then replied, "Crown, that would only make the opposing god very happy. To the deities of Dylan Continent, the pure Energy of a star is a tremendous tonic! If they were able to detect that Energy, they might just be able to absorb it!"

That single sentence completely shattered Bai Yang's whimsical idea. He certainly had no intention of aiding the enemy. However, he had to admit, the prospect had been rather tempting.

"From the looks of it, Matter is extremely important to the gods of Dylan Continent!" Bai Yang seized upon this crucial point. If he ever launched a counter-invasion in the future, he might just have found his method of infiltration!

After all, in this world, he could utilize his abundant Wish Power to disguise his own strength. Then, over in Dylan Continent, he could use boundlessly rich Material Resources to forge his special identity and power.

"It might even be entirely possible to rely on the Divine Kingdoms and deities of this world to launch a Divine War against Dylan Continent!"

Once his Divine Status ascended again, the worlds he created might very well gain properties similar to those of Dylan Continent. When that time came, the roles of attacker and defender would truly be reversed!

Although these worlds were all still in their embryonic stages, with some only existing as concepts in Bai Yang's mind, what did that matter?

From the very first day he acquired the Divinity of Lies, his ambition was never just to survive or rise above the masses; he looked upon the highest seats of power and thought, 'I can take their place!'

If those individuals could become gods, then so could he. Not only that, but he could do it even better—and Bai Yang had indeed achieved just that.

"But right now, we might need to implement more precise countermeasures for this rift..." Alvin said with evident concern. "Otherwise, considering the means available to a Powerful Divine Power, even if they cannot cross over themselves, they will definitely find a way to learn about this place, or even send some subordinates or creations over!"

"Simple!" Bai Yang snapped his fingers. "Given the stability of the Space-Time Rift, apart from that unlucky bastard Fang Ergu, it is nearly impossible for a new Medium Divine Power to cross over here. Which means..."

"The strongest entity capable of arriving here could only be a Demigod! Even if they bring along the creations or contingency plans of a Powerful Divine Power, a Demigod is still just a Demigod!"

Bai Yang suddenly recalled a popular phrase. "The so-called 'number one person below the Nascent Soul stage' is, at the end of the day, still just a Core Formation cultivator!"

The classifications of realms might be different, but the core principle remained the same. As long as the intruder was not a true God, they could replicate the exact same method they used on Lova to deceive the opposing party, and even feed them completely false information!

At this thought, the two of them exchanged a glance, both their eyes gleaming with intrigue.

Deceiving people was a game that genuinely became addictive the more one played it! And now, the target they needed to blindside, swindle, and weave Lies for was none other than a Powerful Divine Power!

"Perhaps this special Shituling would be a perfect fit for them! I wonder how those people will feel once they learn the story of Shituling? That grandiose Worldview, the terrifying sky filled with gods and buddhas, and that Illusory World—it would be enough to scare those Demigods out of their wits!"

Bai Yang found the idea incredibly amusing. It also perfectly aligned with the Eastern way of doing things: everyone fights their own battle. You fight your way, and I fight mine. Refusing to follow the enemy's train of thought was the path most suited for him!

Now, it was time to properly treat those country bumpkins from Dylan Continent to a little shock born from Earth's collective imagination!

Thus, with a casual wave of his hand, he sliced off a chunk of space from the Shituling world that was currently under Zanluo's control, pasting it directly into the crevice of the Space-Time Rift.

No matter who crossed through the rift, the power of space would forcefully redirect them straight to Shituling. It could be considered a rather unconventional barrier.

"I am full of Expectation... I really look forward to seeing the expressions on their faces when they come over and witness that scene!" Bai Yang chuckled in amusement.

...

On the other side of the Space-Time Rift, the entity who had been pondering where Fang Ergu had vanished to suddenly noticed the shift occurring across the divide.

"Is this... a deity from another world?" He chuckled. "It seems Fang Ergu has already been digested! Even we would not dare to casually explore the space and time of an alien world. Only a reckless fool like him would charge straight in!"

This mysterious and vast existence slowly raised a hand toward the rift before him. "This matter must be planned thoroughly..."

He spoke to a Weak Divine Power under his command. "Let us leave it at this for now. You will stay here and maintain Surveillance. Once you have managed to analyze this special Energy, we will then consider the matter of exploring the other side!"

This great existence appeared utterly unfazed. "The Divine War has ended. Before the next one begins, this might just turn out to be a rare piece of entertainment for our Divine Pantheon!"
