From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 275: Medium Divine Power Crisis!

Chapter 275: Medium Divine Power Crisis!

The incident in Southeast Asia had officially come to a complete close, shifting the entire world's attention from neighboring India right to this very spot.

Although the Transcendent still seemed utterly untouchable by Mortal factions, compared to dealing with a Bodhisattva, this place appeared almost entirely too safe.

The global convergence of Buddhist factions brought a long-lost liveliness to the region. Countless people began familiarizing themselves with Buddhism, its Commandments, and the concept of the Six Paths of Reincarnation. As a result, the number of Buddhist Faithful skyrocketed by tens of millions in a remarkably short period.

This was especially true for other nations in the region. Already lacking a sense of security, they felt utterly lost and adrift upon learning that their prominent backer had vanished.

Thus, Buddhism naturally became their spiritual sanctuary.

And the power coalesced from this spiritual reliance was slowly revealing itself right in Bai Yang's hands!

It was a composite mass of golden Buddha's Light, a unique force elevated by the emergence of the specific Faith surrounding the "Buddha" in this area.

Had it been in the past, this power would have been more than enough for Bai Yang to ignite a divine fire belonging exclusively to Buddhism, allowing a true Buddhist pantheon to reincarnate through its flames!

But now, as he further developed the entire Wish Force system and deepened his understanding of the Divine System, Bai Yang suddenly realized something. For a sect like Buddhism—which scarcely relied on a structured power lineage, depending instead on Wish Force and profound self-realization—they might not actually need something like a "divine fire" at all.

What they truly needed was a "cultivation guide." Or, more accurately, a Buddha they could actually perceive!Consequently, Bai Yang naturally shifted his gaze toward the "visitor" who had crossed over.

Indeed, not too long ago, they had "captured" a genuine God!

And now, this "explorer" from the same world as Luowa—or rather, this poor bastard—was about to become a very special sacrifice for this world!

......

This had occurred while the situation in Southeast Asia was still brewing—right around the time Mion first set out, and back when the forces of The Church hadn't even departed from America yet.

Initially, it stemmed from a casual conversation between Alvin and Bai Yang.

While pondering the progression of the world, Bai Yang had remarked, "Once Buddhism and The Church have expanded their reach, we can guide the other secondary civilizations and manifest their native Deities!"

"By then, we can have those Deities band together to push back against these massive Belief Systems. It will give them something constructive to do, rather than spending their days plaguing the Populace!"

Alvin nodded. "You are absolutely correct, Crown! But have you truly never considered claiming a divine title for yourself first? It does not have to be the God of Lies; any other God would suffice..."

He was worried about Bai Yang's safety. After all, despite possessing an incredibly high Divine Status, Bai Yang still lacked actual Divinity. He existed completely outside the realm of Deities.

While this unique trait was immensely beneficial for shaping the world, it offered zero advantages when facing an actual crisis. There would inevitably be moments of vulnerability!

Bai Yang knew that Alvin was still agonizing over the impending dangers from Dylan Continent. That torn spatial rift could never be sealed!

"Do not worry, Alvin. I am not going to put myself in harm's way!" Bai Yang replied calmly. He obviously knew what was eating at Alvin. Luowa had been in this world for quite some time now; back on Dylan Continent, that God of Ice and Snow was probably growing extremely restless!

However, Bai Yang was vastly more confident than Alvin. He simply possessed more comprehensive, dense pools of information, and the power he wielded was far more terrifying and absolute!

"Even if a God crosses over, what of it?" he stated nonchalantly.

As if guided by sudden inspiration, or perhaps proving the theory that "Transcendent traits attract one another," the very moment Bai Yang uttered those words, he abruptly sensed something. "Hiss... Speak of the devil, and he shall appear! There is movement coming from that temporal rift!"

Back when Luowa first arrived, Bai Yang had secretly left behind some countermeasures inside the rift. They were not particularly powerful; in fact, they were just simple trigger mechanisms. The moment something passed through, the devices would rapidly self-destruct, providing him with an immediate early warning.

"Is it the God of Ice and Snow?" Alvin asked nervously. "If it is merely a Weak Divine Power, it would not pose too much of a problem..."

Compared to when Bai Yang first transmigrated, the exponential growth in their current power was not just terrifying—it was utterly Earth-Shattering!

Therefore, let alone a Demigod like Luowa, they would not even bat an eye at a genuine Weak Divinity, or even a Weak Divine Power.

After all, Bai Yang possessed an incredibly supreme Divine Status and an unyielding, practically invincible Transcendent Power nearing that of a Medium Divine Power. He was an overwhelmingly Dominant existence!

"It is neither. The one who just arrived is a Medium Divine Power!" Even Bai Yang felt his heart skip a beat as he said those words.

He suddenly found himself wishing that the readings from his trigger mechanisms were wrong. Was it not established that average-tier Deities could not pass through this channel? Why had a God with Medium Divine Power managed to slip in!

Frowning, Bai Yang continued to scour the residual data in the information stream until he finally uncovered the reason. And it was a reason that left him with a bizarre expression, because it actually had everything to do with himself!

Because he had planted detection devices at the entrance to monitor incoming Deities, a particular God had keenly grasped the loophole in his mechanism. Using that infinitesimally small fraction of access, the entity had descended into this world.

Yes, the God who had arrived was none other than the "God of Thieves"—Fang Ergu, a deity of immense infamy even across the Dylan Continent!

"The God of Thieves holds domains over male dark Elves, thieves, spies, and underground trade. None of those explicitly pertain to traps, yet they all coincidentally incorporate elements of traps!"

Stroking his chin, Bai Yang slowly analyzed the situation. "His domain might not be traps, but he can manipulate any trap in existence. So, he utilized the incredibly faint trap attributes of my detection triggers to swap himself into this world?"

The power of the God of Thieves naturally carried the attribute of "infiltration." Such a transposition made perfect sense.

The divine domains possessed by the Deities of Dylan Continent genuinely wielded such capabilities. What they obtained was never pure "power," but rather a specific "attribute" or, more accurately, a rule!

The God of Lies claimed Lies, the God of Justice upheld fairness, and the God of Radiance scattered the dawn. These were specific, universally understood rules.

With that sorted, Bai Yang understood exactly how the other party had arrived. However, the sense of crisis in his heart lingered like a haunting shadow.

He was deeply curious. Just how did the "space-time channel," originally under the control of the God of Ice and Snow, end up in the hands of the God of Thieves?

Why was the other party able to cross over so brazenly, completely unguarded?

The God of Ice and Snow had only sent a Demigod to scout ahead and still had not dared to send a second God, likely weighing the potential losses. Yet this guy had just waltzed in personally. Talk about having a death wish!

That was Bai Yang's initial train of thought, but when he remembered that the other party belonged to the "Chaotic Evil" alignment, it suddenly made perfect sense.

After all, with the Chaotic Evil faction, it would be entirely normal if they woke up one day and decided to off themselves. That was just the stellar Reputation Chaotic Evil enjoyed!

"Medium Divine Power..." Alvin was dumbfounded and hurriedly urged, "Crown, we need to hide immediately! If he discovers us, we are the only divine nodes in this world. He will absolutely initiate a Divine War on the spot! We do not even have a Divine Kingdom or a divine domain; relying solely on Divine Power, we will be completely crushed!"

A battle between Deities was never just a straightforward contest of Divine Power. Bai Yang was well aware of this.

A Divine War was a comprehensive clash of information warfare and an ultimate test of Combat Power. It could never be measured merely by who appeared strong or weak.

A God with Weak Divinity was not necessarily weaker than a God with Powerful Divine Power. Take the Dragon Gods, for instance. Due to their scarce Faith, they only possessed Weak Divinity. Yet, relying on their terrifying innate talents, they could absolutely pummel certain entities with Powerful Divine Power!

But the prerequisite for such a confrontation was that you actually had to be a "God"! Only by being a God could one withstand the overwhelming pressure and sheer force of another Deity, and only then could one seize a true victory!

"Hide? And hand our world over to him on a silver platter? Do not even think about it!" Bai Yang declared with ironclad resolve. "Besides, we have not even crossed paths yet. The victor... is still completely up in the air!"

He gazed toward the distant north, narrowing his eyes. A Medium Divine Power was just the right opponent for a proper showdown!
