From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 261: The Advancing Buddhist Follower

Chapter 261: The Advancing Buddhist Follower

The two soldiers belonged to the standard Kachin ethnic group. This was the very faction that had been in rebellion for sixty years, fighting a war for six decades. With the support of Western powers like the US and the UK, they had converted to Christianity and chosen to fight the Military Junta to the bitter end.

Anyone with a discerning eye knew that in this world, any resistance force capable of sustaining a continuous struggle under official suppression must have external support, unless the official government was truly abhorred by the people.

The Kachin Army was clearly the former. Believing in The Lord, relying on The Church, and taking Western aid, they had stubbornly taken root in this region. Recently, they had even beaten the Myanmar Military Junta into a total rout!

Their strength was built on external aid, and of course, on racial hatred. This was an organization forged in hatred, and naturally, it was sustained by hatred.

Therefore, the intertwining of hatred inevitably led to primal slaughter.

The parents of the little girl from earlier had died in exactly this manner. But could one truly say these two soldiers were fundamentally evil? It did not quite seem so.

Because in their memories, their own family members from their childhood had died the same way, slaughtered at the hands of government forces.

Looking at it this way, their hatred seemed entirely justified. After all, the so-called resolution of an endless cycle of revenge was often only spoken of by those who were not involved.

If your entire family was murdered, and someone came to advise you that "revenge only breeds revenge," would you think they were right?

How could you!"Amitabha. There is a cause for everything, but does that make killing her the right thing to do?" Mion chanted a Buddhist invocation, causing the two men who had just voiced their inner hatred to snap their eyes open. When they spoke, their tone was incredibly resolute and ruthless.

"Of course it is right!" they declared. "They were the ones who killed our families and turned the world into this state. If we can slaughter them all, will not these tragedies cease to exist?"

"Right! We must kill them, just as they killed our loved ones! Kill them all! Slaughter every last one!" Manic, explosive rage flared in their eyes.

Hearing such words and witnessing such behavior, Mion let out a genuine sigh. "Alas! This is not your fault."

He knew that the reason these two possessed such an understanding was because they had never received an education. They had only struggled and grown up surrounded by death. Devoid of morality and knowledge, all they had left was the most fundamental hatred.

Hatred had helped them grow, hatred had kept them alive, and hatred had mutated them into their current monstrous forms!

"In this world, Hatred is Never Appeased by Hatred; By Non-Hatred Alone is Hatred Appeased. This is an Eternal Law of the Ancient Sages.

Victory Breeds Hatred, the Defeated Live in Anguish. Letting Go of Victory and Defeat, One Finds Peace."

Mion continuously chanted the verses from the Buddhist scriptures, slowly dissolving the enmity and resentment in their hearts, allowing them to ease out of their endless hatred.

Following that, he slowly tapped a speck of spiritual light onto their foreheads.

"Ignorant Ones seek no understanding and walk no solitary path, leaving only Greed, Hatred, Ignorance and Hatred and Resentment!" he stated slowly, gradually raising his hand again. "Lord Buddha is merciful. Let me show you what the truth is!"

This was a spiritual light that bestowed wisdom, and through this light, they could truly grasp the importance of rationality!

Afterwards, another speck of spiritual light appeared in his hand. He tapped it onto the two men, making them see a distant, bygone past:

It was the exact events that took place decades ago, during that incredibly vivid tragedy of their lives!

A group of vicious, heavily armed soldiers stormed into their homes, murdered their parents, and burned everything to the ground.

Next, a group of "instructors" from their memories walked in and took them away. They were brought into the Barracks to live and train, all the way up until the present day.

This was what had originally happened. Yet, in this vision, they saw things they had never known.

Not long after those vicious murderers left, they removed their masks, changed into a completely different set of clothes, and returned to the house, putting on kind and amiable expressions.

And their words were like the terrifying whispers of the devil: "Did you see that, children? Those despicable bastards are the ones who killed your parents. You need to grow up strong and kill them!"

Only after the children fell asleep did this group of "instructors" revert to their true colors.

They drank liquor, sang songs, and loudly celebrated in the Barracks, boasting about their exploits: "This is exactly how it should be! Kill their parents, spare their children, and redirect their hatred!"

"This way, we not only solve the food crisis but also acquire the very best recruits!"

"Hahahaha! Our grand cause is secured!"

There was no other emotion in their eyes—only complete self-satisfaction and admiration for what they had done!

As the vision faded away, deeply profound confusion was all that remained in the eyes of the two previously rebellious and untamable soldiers.

"I should have known. I should have known all along... Yes, with all their suspicious actions and undisguised malice, why did I blindly believe that their words were right?" One of them suddenly dropped to his knees, pounding his fists against the ground as he spoke.

These scenes had actually always existed in a forgotten corner of his memory, but his mind had been clouded. He had been subjected to Brainwashing by their propaganda, never once doubting those people.

Now, with his inner mind clear and unobstructed, it was as if his entire being had grown significantly wiser. Those truths naturally unfolded in his heart.

Now they knew. The true mastermind was never the rival ethnic groups, but rather these ambitious schemers...

It was these people who had manipulated their hatred, plunging them into such a perilous situation!

This was exactly where the strength of the Buddhist Order lay. They preached "self-growth" and self-cultivation. If one could achieve self-realization, the Dharma would immediately take form!

It was under this very mindset that Mion had achieved his own inner reconciliation and growth. That special kind of Divine Abilities belonging solely to him had truly manifested within his body.

This special "time tracing" was one of the external manifestations of his Divine Abilities. Within the Buddhist sect, there was even a specific term to describe this power: the Divine Eye!

"This is hatred! Blinding the heart and steering one toward slaughter, you have long been trapped in endless karmic sin!" Mion's words caused the two formerly untamable soldiers to bow their heads in submission. This was what it meant To Guide to Enlightenment.

"Venerable, we realize our wrongs! We beg the Venerable to enlighten us. We hope the Venerable will tell us what we should do!"

The two men moved in an incredibly identical manner. It was a genuine display of how to Prostrate and Worship upon witnessing the transcendent, as well as a sign of extraordinary reverence.

They had never studied these things, which was why they were ignorant and uninformed. Yet, it was precisely because of this ignorance that they showed even greater reverence for such supernatural phenomena and legendary concepts.

"Alas! The world is ignorant, and you two harbor even deeper resentment! This is not good," Mion said with a soft sigh. "Follow me. I will lead you to dissolve your hatred and release you from your suffering!"

He could sense that the respect these two held for him was genuine. However, the utterly irrepressible hatred in their hearts was equally real. This was what it meant to be Afflicted by the Five Poisons.

'World-Honored One, is this the suffering of all sentient beings?' That completely irrepressible understanding of Buddha's Enlightenment and cultivation bubbled up bit by bit from the depths of Mion's heart, thoroughly transforming into his own comprehension and insight.

Mion himself did not even realize that, despite studying Theravada Buddhism, he had subconsciously attained a profound understanding of a special emotion—a compassionate mercy for the people of the world, a compassionate mercy for the world itself!

Perhaps, many years later, he would find the true description of this emotion—or rather, its true understanding—within the texts of Mahayana Buddhism. That was—Enlightened Sentient Being.

Of course, right now, he did not have the time to ponder such things, for he was currently contemplating the future of these two men.

Ultimately, he stood back up. "Let us go, let us go! All suffering must eventually find its resolution!"

He had finally understood that every path was a form of cultivation. If the World-Honored One of the past had to travel in all directions to cultivate, how could he possibly be exempt from such an endeavor?

He walked forward, and the two soldiers followed behind him, also walking forward.

And this journey forward became a continuous path of "resolution" and reliance.

Along the way, there was no shortage of similar soldiers. They were all mouthpieces of deception and hatred, and they were all won over by Mion.

Guided by the explanations of the two soldiers behind Mion, along with the towering and unfathomable aura emanating from this Buddhist Monk, every casual gesture he made conjured "miracles" that illuminated their minds with spiritual light. It made them all fall to their knees in worship!

After all, this was a nation where Buddhism was widely spread. Even if they might have believed in other things, it could not mask the thousands of years of deep cultural immersion.

Therefore, everyone followed along, trailing behind Mion, wanting to see exactly what kind of grand presence and situation this master commanded, and what he planned to do next!

An ascetic travels a thousand miles, yet his posture remains unwavering.

The Buddhist Follower walked on the road, while the crowd of soldiers behind him all kept their heads bowed and their eyes lowered in total submissiveness.

In the eyes of the soldiers on sentry duty, this was an act of genuine treason. What was a Buddhist Monk doing bringing so many armed men here?

Could it be that someone from a major temple had spent money to carve out a piece of territory and declare themselves a king?

So, they hurriedly ran to inform the master of this domain that this Buddhist Monk was actually launching an assault on their doorstep!

The more than a hundred soldiers trailing behind him were absolute, undeniable proof!

However, just when the warlord Dakan felt he could not possibly receive any worse news, more bad news arrived!

"Boss, we just got word from the west. A group of people wearing Clerical Robes is attacking us!"

"Ah?" Dakan was Utterly Stunned. There was more?
