Chapter 216: Rasinger's Travels in Heaven
Chapter 216: Rasinger's Travels in Heaven
As the true information terminal, The Core naturally collected not only human souls, but also those of animals and plants.
However, rather than calling them souls, it would be more accurate to describe these creatures as true spirits. With just a tiny spark of Spirituality supplemented by life elements, they became unique living beings!
But naturally, there were strict requirements for the creatures of Heaven. Not all living beings could enter; there had to be a specific selection.
This selection process was actually quite simple. Bai Yang directly chose the animals brought aboard in the story of Noah's Ark, imbued them with a trace of Divinity, and that was enough.
These were animals recognized by God. Their appearance in this world naturally would not be questioned.
Moreover, this world had no need for a Sun. After all, the Book of Revelation described the New Jerusalem thusly:
"The city has the glory of God. Its brilliance is like a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal."
"There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the Sun, for the Lord God will give them light."
The divine radiance replaced the light of the Sun, so in this world, the true Sun should be God.
Thus, Bai Yang opened his hand, letting the divine fire fly into the sky and continue to burn. Amidst the roaring flames, a gigantic, radiant silhouette slowly materialized—towering, magnificent, and luminous.Every glorious word in the world seemed applicable to Him, yet all of them combined completely failed to express even a fraction of His majesty.
"This is The Lord!" Bai Yang said softly. With another wave of his hand, mountains sank, ravines crisscrossed the land, and valley floors rose into flat plains. A glorious city erupted from the ground, while a colossal tree unfurled beside it, manifesting as true and undeniable life force!
This tree, of course, was the renowned Tree of Life from both Christian mythology and Judaism legends. Naturally, in the mystical realm, it possessed another name: the Kabbalah Tree of Life!
This was a great tree equal to the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden. It represented the cosmic radiance of life and was widely acknowledged as one of Heaven's creations.
Besides this, mountains, rivers, and streams naturally fell into place. All kinds of beautiful things that had once appeared in the mortal realm were also revealed in this world.
The Book of Revelation mentioned: "The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it." This likely described such a scene.
As for the residents of this world, Bai Yang did not plan to make too many changes. He only needed to find a few true Devout Persons among the souls, implant some special memories into them, and everything here would be ready!
Everything that should exist in Heaven was now present. As for Angels, they were not beings that could just randomly appear in Heaven. Instead, they resided in the palaces of God, dwelling closely with the Saints, listening to God's teachings, and completing their own spiritual transformations.
"Crown, what is the purpose of shaping all this?" Alvin asked with Curiosity. Surely a world like this didn't need to be so thoroughly perfected, did it?
After all, even among deceased Christians, not even one in a hundred possessed true Divine Faith. The vast majority ended up in the Underworld. At most, fewer than twenty people would appear here a day, so why build such a massive world?
"Alvin, you are making the mistake of taking things for granted again. This isn't a question of why, but a matter of what must be done!" Bai Yang declared. "Yahweh should be this powerful, and his divine realm should be this grand. It must be real, and it needs to be even more real than it is now!"
"We aren't role-playing; we are engaging in World Creation! Only when the divine realm is real can the God be real, and only then can the future be absolutely undeniable!"
"Only a truly authentic world can support the Divine Status of the gods I have shaped!"
Bai Yang snapped his fingers, causing the originally tranquil divine realm to slowly flow and animate at his command. God Power and Wish Power poured out, though the consumption was already vastly lower than when he forged the Pantheon!
"Besides, didn't we need a world to settle souls? This is the prerequisite for all those soul-settling worlds, and it's also the prerequisite for our Ten-thousand Worlds Setting!"
Bai Yang clearly possessed his own unique ideas and ingenious designs regarding the world.
......
"Rasinger Leo, open your eyes!" Hearing these words, Rasinger was still immersed in the dying embers of his passing, entirely caught off guard.
But he opened his eyes regardless, staring at his own body in sheer disbelief.
Because in front of him, the reflection appearing in a mirror was his younger self, clad in a white robe.
His youthful body had returned. The sensations emanating from within were no longer the weakness, frailty, and exhaustion typical of an Old Man, but rather the vigor of a strong, glorious, and spiritual vessel!
A beam of Light flashed before him, reshaping him from a mere soul into his current form, granting him an entirely new body.
He could feel that this was no ordinary physical form. It was a flawless union of spirit and body, a perfect vessel for the Holy Light. That very Light surfaced within him, allowing him to cast certain Divine Spells without even needing to pray.
It was then that he realized he had truly arrived in Heaven, the Promised Land of The Bible, the ultimate dream of all believers.
And the breathtakingly radiant, torch-bright city appearing before his eyes had to be the legendary New Jerusalem, the true Promised Land! Rasinger abruptly fell to his knees. Facing the massive luminous phantom in the sky, he began to pray slowly, uttering only two words: "Oh Lord..."
There was no struggle, doubt, anxiety, or Fear in his heart. All of those negative emotions had ceased to exist entirely, and his soul entered a state of eternal rest and perfect completion.
A smile graced his face, and his posture straightened. Appearing before him were groups of beaming believers and Saints from throughout history, all walking past him with gentle smiles.
This was the Heaven every believer anticipated. Here, there was no suffering, no regret. There was only glory, immortality, and a truly undeniable, increasingly fervent Divine Faith.
Aside from The Lord, everyone here was equal. Thus, when the Angel before him saw this intern Saint, they simply greeted him warmly, "Welcome to the new heaven and the new earth, the Promised Land of The Lord, the dwelling place of God!"
"The Lord says you are free, and your soul is free. Just like us, we share a relationship of perfect love and harmony with one another. There is no longer any jealousy, strife, or misunderstanding."
Hearing this, Rasinger nodded slowly. Gazing at everything around him, he felt nothing but infinite beauty and comfort.
This was their Promised Land; this was the realm every believer dreamt of reaching...
He stood frozen in place, speechless for a long time. He ought to feel joyful, so why did he still feel an empty void in his heart?
Despite being in a world of pure bliss, he felt profoundly alienated and melancholy. This sensation prevented Rasinger from resting or letting go; even prayer seemed unable to make the feeling fade.
Unsure of how to explain it, Rasinger sought out a Saint in the city who was preaching scripture to the masses and voiced his doubts.
This Saint was a Saintly Figure of Christ, and the Saintly Figure to the Gentiles, named Saint Paul.
His renown was immense. Saint Paul's Basilica in Rome, the largest city in Brazil, and the capital of Portugal were all named after him. He was martyred in Rome and could be considered a true theologian and the forefather of all missionaries.
Hearing Rasinger's question, the Saint smiled and nodded, pointing him in the right direction. "That is because your spiritual cultivation remains unfinished, and your heart is not yet fulfilled. You possess the most devout Pious Faith and the most abundant soul, yet you still long for the mortal world!"
"Perhaps you are not suited to live in The Lord's realm, but should instead travel to the worlds that have not yet been illuminated by The Lord's Radiance, to spread His will!"
"Go. Go to the Tree of Life. There, someone will guide you onto the path of Pilgrimage, a grueling journey that will nonetheless bring you closer to The Lord!"
After expressing his gratitude to the Saint, Rasinger set out. He departed from the New Jerusalem, heading toward the Tree of Life outside the city.
He walked through the streets and the city, crossing mountains and rivers. A route that seemed as though it should only take a day to traverse inexplicably stretched on infinitely, growing so boundlessly distant that he walked for a very long time.
Heaven inherently lacked the concept of time and aging. He harbored no thoughts of discouragement or disappointment, nor did he feel hunger or fatigue, so he simply kept walking.
He didn't know how much time had passed, nor how many miles he had covered. When Rasinger looked up once more, he suddenly realized that he had already arrived beneath that colossal tree.
It was a massive, intoxicatingly beautiful tree. Upon seeing it, Rasinger immediately felt a deep, personal connection to it. Surprised and curious, he asked a figure standing beneath the branches, "Excuse me, is this..."
"Ah, another Believer whose spiritual cultivation remains unfulfilled!" The figure looked up and smiled gently at Rasinger. "I know your story, and I know your choice. Beneath Heaven lie endless worlds, and every single one requires the guidance of believers and Saints. So, are you willing to become one of them?"
"To become an Angel, an evangelist, a missionary... To travel to other worlds that have yet to witness The Lord's Radiance, spreading His teachings and Divine Faith!"
"And this shall be your path of cultivation..."
He opened his arms wide. Behind him, the gigantic Tree of Life seemed to sway in the wind, as if welcoming a new Saint into its fold.
"The Kabbalah Tree of Life connects all these worlds. As for you, you only need to make the simplest of choices!"
"Become an apostle who spreads The Lord's will! Fulfill your Mission, save those worlds still lingering in ignorance... complete your cultivation! This is the path of a Saint!"
Rasinger finally understood. The hollow emptiness in his heart had simply been a lack of purpose.
But now, he had a New Target!
