From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 166: The Completion Plan for the Norse Pantheon

Chapter 166: The Completion Plan for the Norse Pantheon

"Phew, I've finally filled in some of the plot holes regarding the Wars of the Worlds!" Bai Yang said, breathing a sigh of relief as he watched Lova's decision.

He had planted this idea when he established the Church, and now he had finally fleshed it out a bit.

Although it was still hazy and the specific overarching narrative remained unclear, filling in even a little bit was better than nothing, right?

Creating an adversary for the gods ensured they wouldn't run out of suitable targets in the future, which could otherwise cause a logical breakdown in the narrative.

This also established a logical foundation for why these gods might cooperate at times and how they knew so much about each other.

Bai Yang had no desire to specifically design isolated Pantheons where the gods seemed completely ignorant of one another. That would be entirely illogical. This current state of mutual awareness aligned much better with his design philosophy.

In the future, there would definitely be various interactions among the numerous Pantheons. Only by weaving this story together properly could he use certain crises to draw them in, thereby sparking massive group battles!

"Team battles are the most interesting part of the Era of the Extraordinary!" Bai Yang chuckled. Everyone loved a good group fight. After all, wasn't the ultimate goal of all kinds of movies, TV shows, and long-running storylines to end in a massive clash of factions?

These large-scale battles could more efficiently guide human emotions, and naturally, absorb Wish Power much faster. However, that was a matter for the future. The Wish Power system on this planet hadn't been fully tapped out yet, and there were still countless ideas to mine for the various Pantheons. He was in no rush.

By doing this, Bai Yang also intended to reinforce certain concepts regarding the Aesir in Lova's mind. Going all out and leaving no flaws was the hallmark of a truly excellent plan.Everything he did would become reality in the future. So, in a sense, he shouldn't be called the God of Lies, but rather the God of Wishes—a god who fulfilled his own desires and those of others!

...

Meanwhile, within the illusion, Lova had carefully pondered the situation and finally gave his answer.

"To enjoy such privileges, one must bear the corresponding responsibilities. I understand!" Lova declared, answering Mimir with utmost sincerity. "I will shoulder this responsibility and head to the front lines of the battle!"

Although he hadn't been part of this Pantheon for long, the benefits and the sense of belonging were incredibly strong, which was why he made such a bold claim.

"Don't be so tense!" Mimir said with a hearty laugh. "It won't be right now, but in some distant future. Besides, with your current level of strength, you wouldn't even be able to step onto the battlefield!"

He handed Lova a Bronze Bottle. "This is Water from the Well of Wisdom. Although it is merely a projection, it still holds a certain degree of efficacy. Take it... This is a Boon from Yggdrasil!"

Lova grasped the bottle, nodding with a half-understanding expression. Under the giant's benevolent gaze, he slowly vanished from the spot.

"Ugh..." He opened his eyes in a slight panic, only to find that he was still in the same place. The Divine Spark he had just ignited was right in front of him, and it seemed as though nothing around him had actually happened.

However, the sudden appearance of the Bronze Bottle in his hand let him know that everything he had just experienced was not a hallucination, but reality!

This powerful Pantheon was not truly free of worries; it faced an immense crisis of its own.

But to say it was an urgent, nerve-wracking threat wouldn't be quite accurate either. Lova was a deity himself, and he knew perfectly well just how massive a time span a "distant future" would be coming from the mouth of another god.

He also knew that the other party had practically given him the answer directly. As long as he didn't grow strong enough to reach the level of Medium Divine Power, he wouldn't even be permitted on the front lines, even if he wanted to fight.

'I shouldn't overthink this. Continuing to condense my God Power is what truly matters!' Lova shook his head and resumed pouring Wish Power into his Divine Spark, allowing the newborn flame to refine and process this recent experience.

He then uncorked the Water from the Well of Wisdom in his hand and let it drip into the Divine Spark. Visibly, the power within the spring water surged inside. The immense energy, carrying fragments of history, gradually tempered and refined his Divine Spark!

This was an unavoidable path for a deity. Only by completely smelting this experience could he proceed to the next step, which was to anchor himself to this segment of the Aesir's history.

"Evolution, Ascension, and ultimately rising above the rest. This is my Divine Path!" Lova murmured softly, before throwing himself wholeheartedly into the process.

...

"Alvin, lock down the spatial perception in this area. Let our Mr. Lova continue his Ascension in peace!" Bai Yang instructed.

Next, Lova would remain in this special Realm to maintain his Divine Spark. This process wouldn't be short; for at least the next few years, he wouldn't have the time to come out and ruin anything. This meant that Lova had successfully been dealt with, and Bai Yang could proceed to the next phase of his plan.

"Crown, The Core has already arrived in Italy. What do you think?" Alvin's voice drifted out smoothly, presenting Bai Yang with the location for his next story.

"No rush, no rush. It is indeed time for us to leave this Realm. After all, the Witches and Viking warriors will certainly provide them with plenty of areas for growth for a long time to come!" Bai Yang said. "However, a strong start and a weak finish is not my style!"

"Let's go. We're taking a trip further north. There will be more mythological ruins preserved over there!" Bai Yang stated. He was someone who saw things through from beginning to end, and he understood the principle that uncorroborated evidence could not stand on its own.

In America, he had used several different locations to highlight the various mysteries and significance of the Catholic Church. He had also drawn upon different deities from Mayan Mythology and Aztec Mythology to serve as focal points.

He had even briefly triggered a tsunami, creating the possibility of a clash between the two factions, and had fabricated a unique, mystical history through Lincoln and the stories of Vampires.

All of this, of course, was to reinforce history and to make the existence of the gods far more apparent. Naturally, he couldn't forget his fine traditions here!

And so, he stepped across Norway, Sweden, and Finland, arriving at the northernmost country in this world—an island almost entirely blanketed in biting cold, frost, and snow: Iceland.

Among the Nordic Five, this country might not have the lowest presence, but it was undoubtedly the most remote. It was so remote that even after the other four countries had been swept by Christianity, this nation still preserved the incredibly ancient faith of the Norse Gods.

The Myth of Odin was still spreading here, and those ancient Norse Ballads were still being passed down, such as the famous Icelandic Sagas: the Poetic Edda.

Within these mythological poems lay the primary descriptions of the gods. In fact, compared to tales like The Song of the Nibelungs or Beowulf, which leaned more heavily toward individual heroism, the stories of Iceland were the true source of modern Norse Mythology!

Of course, for Bai Yang, it went far beyond just that.

"The mythology is out, but Northern Europe is about much more than just the deities. There are Giants, Dwarves, Elves, the Undead, and Dragons!" Bai Yang gazed at the snow and volcanoes covering the island, his face filled with an approving smile. "This place couldn't be more perfect for the debut of these legendary creatures!"

"Crown, are you planning to unleash a terrible disaster here?" Alvin asked.

"No, no, no!" Bai Yang shook his head. "Disasters are always a second-rate tactic. What we need is to gain the maximum amount of Wish Power for the smallest Price!"

"This time, I want to give more people an opportunity. I will provide them with the capital to come into contact with Transcendence!"

An enigmatic smile crossed his face. "These nations certainly wouldn't want to offend the gods directly, so they will absolutely be interested in the magical creatures that dance alongside mystery and the supernatural!"

As he spoke, he walked toward the mountains of Iceland. Although he had initially wanted to trigger the next wave of supernatural frenzy immediately, thinking about it now, continuing to amplify the mystique of the Nordic region seemed like a rather good choice as well.

"There's no rush. We'll take our time. We have plenty of it!" Bai Yang pondered, rubbing his chin. "Perhaps we can conduct a special experiment... An experiment to test the limits of human Transcendent Beings and the resources of the world itself!"

Saying this, he walked straight into a colossal iceberg. Beneath the ancient glacier, an active volcano was emitting sulfurous gases.

Yet right around this very volcano lay natural wonders of green plains, glacial rivers, geysers, and waterfalls. This was a god-given tourist island, and it possessed one of the most primal landscapes in the world.

Bai Yang snapped his fingers. God Power and Wish Power spread and lingered across the land, causing many things that had no right to exist here to slowly rise...

Mysterious and ancient ruins materialized, and a distinctive power began to surge from within!

Radiance cascaded down, the brilliant glow erupting from the ground making even the distant auroras pale in comparison!

Coincidentally, a large Expedition Team was slowly making its way through this very area...
