From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 144: Completely Bamboozled

Chapter 144: Completely Bamboozled

"Crown, we succeeded!" Alvin's voice brimmed with joy. That happiness was almost palpable, steady yet full of pleasant surprise. "We successfully made him believe in the existence of this world. A special strand of Wish Power from a God proves it!"

Bai Yang nodded, though his face did not show much excitement. "We will discuss the use of this Wish Power later. Continue with our plan; we cannot stop halfway!"

He was still constructing a special environment for Lova. Every single second of this display consumed God Power. How could his heart not ache at the cost?

"We cannot be satisfied just because he believes us a little. We need to make him a part of our plan, turn him into our actor rather than a threat!"

His hands moved with even greater stability as more God Power poured out!

Since the first step had succeeded, the second and third steps would naturally follow!

...

Inside the massive, majestic temple, Divine Thunder roared and stars exploded. It was a veritable waterfall of God Power. Every passing second consumed enough God Power to make a God with Medium Divine Power weep in heartache!

Within the temple, the Demigod named Lova was recounting the story of his world.

He spoke of the Gods of the Dylan Continent, a subject Bai Yang was extremely familiar with, and it was the topic Lova articulated most clearly."In our world, the Gods scheme against one another in endless conflict. That is my world, and that is where I come from!" Lova declared.

His experience told him that hiding the truth in front of a group of powerful Gods was a foolish and short-sighted endeavor. Therefore, he laid everything bare without hesitation.

Hearing these words, the God King seated at the highest vantage point slowly raised his head. "Hmm... a world with a Divine Pantheon that has yet to be truly unified? How interesting..."

"Haimudaer!" The God King's voice boomed, prompting the God who had previously only been a disembodied voice to step forward. "Do we have any prospect of intervening there?"

"No, Crown!" Another God radiating immense God Power appeared, filling Lova with terror. This was yet another entity with Powerful Divine Power. Did this Divine Pantheon possess three Gods with Powerful Divine Power alone? What a terrifying force this was!

He hastily lowered his head, not daring to look at the other party's true body. The overwhelming diffusion of God Power made him feel as though he would be crushed to death by the figure before him if he merely lifted his gaze!

"Our Gods are scattered throughout the Nine Realms, and the worldly wars have yet to end. We cannot spare the hands to rule over the faith of this world!"

Haimudaer's response was exceedingly earnest. "You must consider the actual situation following the war across All Worlds. We still have multiple worlds to conquer. This world is not a necessity!"

"We do not lack The Faithful. Competing with a group of native Gods for faith is utterly meaningless!"

The moment these words were spoken, a ripple of agreement echoed through the surroundings. It seemed a multitude of Gods were nodding in consensus, and every fluctuation proved they possessed Powerful Divine Power!

This display left Lova completely numb. Since when had Powerful Divine Power become as common as cabbages in a market? Could it be that Gods without Powerful Divine Power were not even allowed inside this palace?

No wonder the other party could casually call them native Gods. The sheer density and intensity of these Gods was nothing short of horrifying. If they descended upon the Dylan Continent, they would undoubtedly be a premier faction capable of crushing the Radiant Cult!

"In that case, I will leave this otherworldly God for you to handle!" Listening to this, the God King suddenly lost interest. He waved his hand, swatting Lova straight out of the colossal temple.

Lova was kicked out of the structure without the slightest ability to resist. As he flew through the air, he witnessed the vastness and immensity of this world, as well as the exaggerated waste of God Power!

'I suppose only a Divine Pantheon with so many Gods holding Powerful Divine Power would dare to shape such a Divine Kingdom!' He felt no anger at being kicked out, only absolute awe for this world.

The God Power flowing away with every passing second only deepened his reverence and yearning for this realm.

And what happened next completely shattered Lova's worldview!

Because after he flew past that palace and continent, what he saw was not a new land or a new world, but a nearly endless, infinite, and boundlessly vast Starry Sky!

The majestic enormity of this Starry Sky left the young Demigod practically speechless.

He stared blankly at everything before him, finding it completely surreal. He could not release his God Power, but his perception would not lie to him. Every single point of light in this Starry Sky was a world so massive it defied his imagination!

"What is so fascinating about the Starry Sky? Snap out of it!" Right at that moment, a voice echoed beside Lova's ear.

The abilities forged by God Power allowed them to communicate perfectly, even if they did not speak the language of this world.

Lova barely managed to collect himself. "My apologies, Crown," he said in astonishment. "I was merely surprised by how different your world is... Please forgive my offense. I am unfamiliar with many of your customs..."

Hearing this, the newcomer smiled faintly, completely unbothered by the slight. "There is no need to be so tense. I am not like my father—a War God, King of the Dead, God of Power, God of Magic, or God King. I am merely a watcher, a simple gatekeeper to the divine realm! You may call me Haimudaer!"

Those words made Lova tremble all over. Letting a God with Powerful Divine Power act as a gatekeeper? What a terrifying concept!

Although the man before him did not unleash his colossal power, Lova recognized his identity at a glance and appeared even more respectful.

Keeping his head bowed, he asked, "Crown, may I ask how you intend to deal with me?"

"That depends entirely on you, of course!" Haimudaer replied nonchalantly. "If you wish to join Asgard, we will cleanse your Godhood and allow you to join us as a warrior. Then, one day in the future, you may become a part of the Asgardian Gods!"

"If you refuse to join us, God King Odin will banish you from the realm of the Gods and toss you into that Starry Sky!"

Lova was taken aback. "You call this boundless region the Starry Sky? But... these stars are all individual worlds!"

"In your world, do you refer to planets as worlds?" Haimudaer asked with a chuckle. "Then what is your Starry Sky?"

"It is just a decoration for the night, manipulated by the Goddess of the Night..." Lova said in profound amazement. "It is merely an embellishment. We do not have as many worlds as you do; there is only one world."

Haimudaer feigned surprise. "I heard the God King call yours a native world, and I thought he was just joking. To think it was actually true..."

Hearing this, Lova also began to feel like a mere primitive native, while the God before him belonged to a true heavenly empire!

And this grand empire was actually willing to accept him, which made Lova even more astounded. "What do you mean by becoming a part of the Gods...?"

"Bestowed by the God King, of course! You would gain your own divine office, divine authority, and territory, becoming a God of our race!" Haimudaer looked at him in surprise. "Have you never experienced this?"

"No..." Lova shook his head regretfully. "I became a Demigod on my own, and then barely managed to become a subordinate to the God of Ice and Snow. Now I work for the God of Ice and Snow in exchange for The Faithful and God Power."

"You had the ability to achieve divinity on your own, yet you could only become a subordinate?" Haimudaer expressed his utter incomprehension. "In our Divine Pantheon, you should already have your own foundational domain, your own temple, and your own Sacrifices... Is your Divine Pantheon really legitimate?"

Those words nearly broke Lova's spirit, but he tried to salvage a shred of his dignity. "It is not too bad. I was allocated a few hundred believers..."

At that statement, the odd look in Haimudaer's eyes vanished, replaced by a profound sense of pity.

Giving him a look that clearly screamed 'have you never experienced anything good in your life', he directed Lova's attention to the city below and its bustling populace.

"This is the third-largest city in a nation. If you were our subordinate God, your statue would stand in the temple of this very city! Furthermore, Odin would decree that you possess one-third of The Faithful in this city..."

Hearing this, Lova's defenses completely crumbled. He looked at Haimudaer dejectedly. "Then... can I join you? A smaller city would be fine. It does not have to be this big..."

With this masterful display of manipulation, Haimudaer had thoroughly bamboozled Lova!

Lova astonishingly realized that he and the Gods of the Dylan Continent were the true frogs at the bottom of the well. He had always believed that their continent, spacetime, and Plane boundaries constituted an endless world.

Yet he never imagined that beyond his own world lay so many Universes, so many Gods, and such mighty existences.

And seriously, how was this Divine Pantheon so incredibly well-organized?!

He originally thought that being an officially recognized Demigod was already quite impressive, giving him a fair bit of prestige on the Dylan Continent.

Who would have thought that in this world, he wouldn't even qualify as the 'bottom rung.' He was nothing more than an absolute wretch!

His spirit was broken. He didn't want to go back. He wanted to join this Divine Pantheon, and he would not hesitate even if it meant replacing his Godhood!

...

At this moment, Bai Yang finally smiled and uncurled his tightly clenched fist. Thank goodness his peerless genius had brought this fellow completely under his control!

This Demigod, Lova, was now firmly in his bag. Everything was perfectly under control!
