Chapter 105: Stop Them, By Any Means Necessary?
Chapter 105: Stop Them, By Any Means Necessary?
They discussed Precepts, Doctrine, light, and Divine Faith with intense enthusiasm, absolutely thrilled by the exchange.
Even the least experienced among them, Sister Caroline and the Paladin Leon, exchanged glances to confirm they were on the same page before diving into discussions about "Stigmata" and "Precepts," as well as the proper ways to utilize holy light and Divine Faith.
The others debated an even wider array of topics. They discussed Doctrine, laws, promising candidates, and the very first targets for evaluation, all hoping to finalize the initial phase of their plan right here and now!
This was undoubtedly necessary. Angus and the others were individuals purely devoted to the world. While the Pope was not driven by the exact same pure altruism, he actively contributed his thoughts because this endeavor promised boundless benefits for The Church.
Listening to this conversation, Qian Si sat on the sidelines, completely dumbfounded.
If he hadn't misheard them just now, did they mean to use these Precepts to connect every Catholic Church across America?
What the hell, did they even hear what they were planning?
If every single Catholic Church in America housed a pastor, Priest, or Bishop possessing a "Precept," what kind of situation would that create?
Sure, the citizens would no longer fear the dark, but the rulers of this nation certainly would!
Who didn't know what happened when the Catholic Church grew too powerful? The Knightly Orders of the Middle Ages and the Holy Roman Empire—wasn't that exactly how they came to be?
Although these people claimed that the Precepts would make them just and peaceful, if someone truly became that flawlessly just, their very first thought would undoubtedly be to overthrow this entirely unjust nation right before their eyes!
Calling this country a den of Monsters would be an insult to monster dens. There was no shortage of unfathomable horrors and twisted abominations here—things so vile they would make Satan himself cry out in disbelief.
When the time came and these empowered Bishops decided to stage a crusade "for the people," what could the Government possibly do?
Qian Si certainly did not consider himself an ally of justice, so he was determined to stop this plan!
Therefore, watching the group's elated expressions, Qian Si quietly slipped out through the side door.
Before long, Qian Si arrived at another conference room in the White House, immediately hearing Golden Hair's booming laughter from inside!
"Excellent work, Baron! You truly are my son! Those fools will eventually pay the Price for their greed. Come on back! As for those remaining two bastards, I will settle the score with them slowly!"
Hearing Golden Hair's laughter, Qian Si knew the Great Leader was in high spirits, so he knocked on the door and walked in.
"Qian Si? Weren't you over there entertaining Pope Mario?" Golden Hair asked in surprise upon seeing his deputy enter.
"Your Excellency, the Great Leader, there are certain matters that I must make absolutely clear to you!" Qian Si's gaze was profound. His usual sycophantic demeanor was entirely gone, which made Golden Hair slightly uncomfortable.
"Speak. What is the situation?"
Using his handheld recording device, along with the footage captured by the room's existing video recording devices, Qian Si gave an impassioned recount of everything that had just transpired to the people in the room.
Precepts, a new order, Transcendent Power... these terms that originally had absolutely nothing to do with them were now laid bare before their very eyes.
What followed was a long, heavy silence.
Golden Hair's team of advisors was not exactly highly professional. Or rather, there used to be some competent professionals among them, but they had already been kicked out.
Consequently, the current staff was largely incapable of formulating a specialized response.
However, they roughly understood what Qian Si was trying to convey. Frowns spread across the room. What was The Church trying to do? Were they planning a rebellion?
Qian Si naturally offered his own perspective, which quickly garnered widespread agreement. They were all vested beneficiaries of the current system, and naturally, none of them wanted any changes.
The only person with a different train of thought was Golden Hair.
"You are saying that a group of genuine Puritans wants to purge the False Believers, all to fight against those impending dark Monsters?" Golden Hair asked slowly.
"Yes, Your Excellency! They are attempting to use Transcendent Power to rewrite the rules of this world. You must stop them!" Qian Si urged.
"I actually think this is a good thing!" said the Great Leader, whose thinking often diverged from the norm. This single sentence stunned everyone in the room. They simply could not fathom why Golden Hair would hold such an opinion.
Golden Hair had no intention of making them understand. To secure his current position, he had made a series of compromises, yet he still looked down on the people standing before him.
Their political acumen was far too clumsy; they could not keep up with his reasoning at all.
"You think they are rewriting the rules, perhaps even attempting to rebuild the Holy Roman Empire right here on our soil, so you want to stop them, right?" Golden Hair asked.
"Yes..." Everyone nodded. Golden Hair proceeded to look at them like they were idiots. "Even if you manage to stop them and force them to leave our country, what then?"
"Are you going to send the military to deal with Demons, Werewolves, and Vampires? Do you expect the public to generate GDP for you while living in constant terror?"
"Or perhaps you wish to end up like the heads of those Prominent Families who have already become food—reduced to playthings for Dark Creatures?"
"Foolish, short-sighted, completely ignorant!" Golden Hair cursed them outright. "You are all still drowning in the illusion of our nation's invincibility, looking down on everything! Yet you fail to see just how incredibly fragile our entire country has become with the introduction of this Transcendent Power!"
"Then what do you suggest we do..." Qian Si asked cautiously.
"Why do you always insist on putting yourselves in opposition to others?" Golden Hair asked, frustrated and disappointed by their incompetence. "If they can actually pull this off, it is a great thing for us!"
"Relying on their strength to fend off the dark Monsters, establishing our own system of Transcendent Beings, fortifying our nation, and letting those parasites die off—is that not wonderful?"
"Or could it be that you lot are actually part of those parasites yourselves?"
As Golden Hair's words fell, the crowd was silenced by fear.
Looking at it from this angle, it really was a good thing. But was the Great Leader truly unafraid of being purged by those very same zealots? He truly lived up to his title as the leader of "MAGA"!
They all felt that the Great Leader was practically a saint, thinking entirely of the nation without sparing a single thought for himself.
Of course, just how much of this selfless stance was due to Golden Hair having the special Transcendent Being known as the "Vampire Hunter" under his control remained unknown.
...
"Wow, I actually find myself admiring him a bit!" Watching Golden Hair's performance, Bai Yang said with approval. "He chose the absolute best and most appropriate solution. He truly is a born Politician!"
Standing nearby, Alvin smiled and chimed in, "That no longer matters to you, Crown. All of these people have already bought into your grand act. The Wish Power is firmly in place!"
Alvin was absolutely right. Everyone in the White House had become his devout Faithful, which was truly a fascinating turn of events.
Whether they were right or wrong was irrelevant; what mattered was that they believed his narrative.
After finishing their observation of the American Officials' reactions, the two shifted their gaze back to the Great Leader's office, observing these "progressives" of The Church.
It had to be said, Angus's plan was actually quite brilliant, and Bai Yang was more than happy to see it unfold.
Naturally, he was not thrilled about them judging Sin or anything of the sort. He was the mastermind behind the scenes. In his eyes, good and evil meant nothing. What truly mattered was that their method of spreading the Precepts from one place to another was effectively helping him harvest Wish Power.
Talk about ultimate free agents! Bai Yang absolutely adored this kind of proactive initiative!
"Crown, isn't this power a little too immense? We do not have any hostile forces that can match these people! Are we going to let humanity simply exhaust themselves through infighting?"
Alvin voiced his concerns.
He wasn't wrong. The "Precept" system that Bai Yang had designed was naturally a rigorous selection mechanism and a petri dish that would force a massive number of people to reveal their true colors.
But with so many people in this world, even if only one in ten thousand succeeded, this country alone would produce tens of thousands. Tens of thousands of Transcendent Beings who had mastered their Precepts—what kind of terrifying force would that be?
Once these individuals fully matured, how could their current few and far between Dark Creatures possibly stand a chance?
"They will become The Church's army, or rather, my army!" Bai Yang said calmly. "That is a matter for the distant future. Right now, we are merely preparing for a rainy day... Besides, who said we do not have a matching hostile force?"
He reached out and pulled out a Feather. It was a black quill feather shimmering with a metallic sheen. "The seventy-two Pillar Demons—Raum was not the only one who escaped! They, along with the Demons, Werewolves, Vampires, and the future wizards, are the dark forces I have chosen!"
"For every person whose heart leans toward the light, there is another who embraces the dark. This is the very essence of the world!"
"And in this country, the choices of darkness far, far outnumber the options for light!"
Alvin grew even more curious. "Then, Crown, where is your next chosen target..."
"Does that even require thought? The one thing this land never lacks is death and Sin. Therefore, we must find a land steeped in Sin and scatter these seeds..."
Bai Yang gazed toward The South, a very fascinating plan already forming in his mind!
