From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 104: Reestablishing the Church's Order

Chapter 104: Reestablishing the Church's Order

The information regarding the Vatican was, of course, Bai Yang's masterpiece.

However, he had not guided this group to find this information; rather, it was the power of the divine fire.

As he fed it more and more history and reality, the divine fire gradually acquired the true ability to manipulate the world.

Especially when Bai Yang established the name and image of God as Yahweh, it was already destined that the divine fire's method of operation would be based upon the Church.

This was easy to understand. As an extension of divine majesty, the colossal entity known as the Church absolutely could not be allowed to collapse, so its sacred nature had to be perpetuated.

It was exactly because of this coincidental alignment that Pope Mario managed to complete an almost perfect, miraculous prophecy in front of the numerous divinely enlightened individuals and Golden Hair, the leader of a great nation.

Bai Yang naturally knew about this. He was here purely as a spectator to watch the divine fire's performance. In the future, this flame would truly evolve into the infinite authority known as God, but for now, this was merely a minor test of its capabilities.

Even in front of numerous Transcendent Beings, this Pope, who possessed no holy light of his own, had been cloaked in the mystique of prophecy.

This was, in fact, a reinforcement of the Church's sacred attributes.

"Not bad, it is starting to show a bit of strategic mastery!" Bai Yang remarked with a smile. "But it still falls far short. After all, you have not yet condensed a Godhood, so you lack the ability to bestow power!"He gazed at the vigorously burning flame before him and decided to let it burn a little brighter. With a wave of his hand, the crystal resting against Sister Caroline's chest rose into the air once more.

At this moment, the six of them were still in the office, but Golden Hair had already taken his people to the conference room to handle the matters concerning the awakening of the Vampire Progenitor. The only official member left here was Vice President Qian Si.

Qian Si was completely stunned by this sight. A supernatural event was unfolding right before his eyes, leaving him entirely at a loss for a moment.

And the translucent crystal, containing a radiant Cross within, slowly ascended at this exact moment.

The white light washed over the six people, bringing them a wave of warmth, though it also cast a rather strange expression onto Caroline's face.

"The darkness grows ever deeper. The forces of light must unite to protect this world!" Caroline declared slowly.

Everyone's gaze turned toward her. Seeing that the girl had closed her eyes, seemingly reading the information hidden within the light, no one dared to speak.

They all knew that Caroline was the girl recognized by Archangel Gabriel as a vessel and a divinely enlightened one. It could even be said that, aside from Pope Mario, she was the most revered presence in the room.

If this were the Middle Ages, she likely would have been canonized as a Holy Maiden long ago. Although she had not officially received the title of Holy Maiden yet, she was widely recognized as a divinely enlightened one and a Prophet.

Now was the moment she read the divine will.

"The boundaries of Heaven will be blurred. The power of the holy light will descend once the Precepts are fulfilled!"

After she spoke those words, the crystal ceased shining; instead, it absorbed the ambient glow and descended back to her chest.

"Sister Caroline, what does this mean?" Bishop Jared took the initiative to ask. He was actually asking on behalf of Pope Mario, demonstrating his astuteness.

"Teacher Angus, did you not say that I possess the potential to bestow Precepts upon others?" Caroline suddenly asked Father Angus.

"Indeed!" Father Angus nodded. "You possess the ability gifted by The Lord. A Precept is the word bestowed and the command issued by The Lord. All who comply shall be bound by its decree, in His name!"

"Well, I have that power now!" This was the reason for Caroline's strange expression. "Not because I have met the minimum requirements, but because the world is facing the threat of darkness!"

Father Angus nodded and looked at the group. Seeing the curiosity in their eyes, he offered an explanation. "Caroline now holds the authority to grant the holy light. This is the right of The Lord, allowing every Devout Believer to wield the power of the holy light!"

Hearing this, Qian Si could no longer hold back and exclaimed loudly, "Does that mean we can directly acquire more Transcendent Beings?"

"Yes!" Father Angus nodded. "Theoretically speaking, that is correct!"

"That is wonderful..." Qian Si quickly stepped forward. "I wonder, do I qualify?"

"Perhaps not!" Father Angus replied decisively. "Vice President, you must understand clearly: it is not that receiving a Precept grants you power, but rather that adhering to the Precept allows you to possess power!"

"What do you mean?" Qian Si did not understand.

"Humility, honesty, compassion, valor, justice, sacrifice, honor, and soul. These are the virtues of a Knight, and also the Precepts of a Knight. If someone can fulfill these Precepts under the premise of having faith in The Lord, they qualify to become a Knight!" Leon explained from the side. "To be devoted without expecting reward, to distinguish right from wrong without speaking falsely, to act for the glory of God, to be worthy of the divine calling, to follow the principles of the children of light... Anyone who can uphold these Precepts qualifies to become a Saint!" George added from the other side.

"Since we have been called, our behavior and demeanor should align with this grace." Mario actually understood, and a deeply curious expression suddenly appeared on his face. "But what if one forces it without being compliant..."

"The holy flames will show them the consequences of deceiving The Lord!" Father Angus declared coldly.

The four of them actually harbored no objections to this arrangement. After all, those cultivated according to the Precepts would all be Devout Believers, formidable Warriors, courageous Knights, and dutiful Bishops.

They would be their fellow travelers, the most trustworthy companions on the path of faith. They could only feel joy at this prospect.

"What kind of Precepts are there?" Qian Si was still somewhat unwilling to give up. He knew he could not become a Knight, nor could he become a Saint, so he had to seek another path.

"There are also the Precepts of the Bishop, the Precepts of the Priest, the Precepts of the Nun, and so on..." Caroline offered. "The Faithful should continuously shape themselves on the path of truth, using the light as armor, so that every action radiates the glory of God."

"The night is far spent, the day is at hand. We must cast off the works of darkness and uphold integrity, distinguishing right from wrong through knowledge and insight, and living as a testament to the light with a heart of charity."

Father Angus summarized, "It means demanding of oneself using The Bible as the standard, continuously striving to become a true believer, and ultimately earning the opportunity to receive a Precept!"

Mario understood. "Anyone who accepts a Precept must inherently be someone who meets all the qualifications, correct?"

"Yes! The light of The Lord will not be cast upon the treacherous, the foolish, or the deceitful. Only a qualified servant can sow the glory of The Lord!" Father Angus replied. "Crown Mario, will you make a choice?"

"A choice? Do you mean..." Mario, of course, understood the underlying implication of Father Angus's words. "You intend to spread the Precepts?"

Father Angus nodded. "Yes, this is the will of The Lord. No one can obstruct His will from being sown across every region!"

"Darkness approaches. We must seize the time to spread the light across every region that holds faith in the Church!"

"The holy light will brush past everyone's face, and the mercy of The Lord will make every true believer feel as though they are bathed in a gentle spring breeze!"

After Father Angus finished speaking, the corners of the mouths of everyone who had any understanding of Christianity twitched.

Was he not making it blatantly obvious: that within the Church's regions of faith, especially within those Churches, there were actually very few true believers?

If he continued down this path, how many people would be sent tumbling from their high positions within the Church?

Yes, that was exactly what Father Angus meant, and it was exactly what he intended. Ever since witnessing that shocking tragedy in San Diego and learning of the sins committed by the people in the Garden Cathedral, this thought had never left his mind!

He was an incredibly devout Priest. The children he taught might have been mischievous, but none of them were of poor moral character or prone to wicked behavior!

He had desperately tried to teach others to be kind, telling them that The Lord cherished their kindness!

Yet, ironically, these people who styled themselves as the spreaders of The Lord's faith turned out to be exceptionally vile, even evil scoundrels. How could he possibly accept this?

Therefore, he had already been planning to push forward with spreading the Precepts. Now, this had become his perfectly justifiable reason to do so!

This reason was noble and righteous. No one could stop him, for this was the will of the holy light!

But looking at it from another perspective, how could this not be considered a unique purge?

It was simply that this purge was conducted in the name of The Lord, using kindness as its baseline and willpower as its measure!

"In other words, elevating one's faith and personal character will cause the power of the Precept to upgrade accordingly?" Pope Mario suddenly asked.

"Yes!" Father Angus replied.

"Then I agree to your plan. I permit you to spread the Precepts throughout all the Catholic Churches on this continent!" This ruthless Pope had made his decision!

Hearing those words, everyone knew that the order of the Catholic Church would be entirely reshaped from this moment onward!
