Floating Island - Triple S Talent

Chapter 589: Secret Alliance Pact

Chapter 589: Secret Alliance Pact

Invictus Sect Main Tower – Sect Master’s Private Hall.

Unlike the grandeur of the other towers, Luxador’s private hall was situated by the side of a tranquil energy lake. The building was quite simple yet artistic, surrounded by rows of silver banyan trees whose leaves hung low enough to touch the water’s surface.

Lein walked leisurely down the open corridor, observing the sky’s reflection on the lake. "He truly knows how to enjoy life," Lein murmured softly. Behind him, Dragnar followed with precise steps, acting as a professional bodyguard radiating a cold, pressing aura.

Upon arriving before the hall gates, two Grandmaster-level guards stood ready. Before they could ask, a heavy voice echoed from within, "Let them in."

The two guards immediately opened the doors wide, granting passage to Lein and Dragnar.

The polished black marble floor inside the hall reflected the shadows of the towering ceiling. In every corner of the room stood ancient beast statues that channeled pure energy. The energy pressure was so dense it made the two Grandmaster guards at the door struggle to breathe.

However, Lein walked with his hands tucked behind his black Elder robes, his face remaining flat as if that atmospheric pressure was nothing more than a passing breeze. Dragnar was the same; such pressure was no match for a Tier 4 King.

Seeing their arrival, Luxador rose from his throne. He waved his hand, and immediately attendants appeared to prepare a round table with three chairs at the side of the hall.

"Sorry to trouble you, Lord Lein. I was forced to delay your time for a week," Luxador said while inviting Lein and Dragnar to sit.

"It is no problem," Lein replied briefly as he took his seat.

Luxador observed Dragnar for a moment, then turned to look at Lein with a flash of admiration he couldn’t hide.

"Lord Lein... if we did not already know each other, I might have mistaken you for a very dangerous high-level infiltrator," Luxador said half-joking. He could not hide his shock at feeling the energy density from the figure behind Lein. "So, is this the ’teacher’ Elder Thurok mentioned?"

Lein only raised a thin eyebrow without intending to provide clarification. He let Luxador remain in his curiosity.

Luxador leaned back, his expression turning serious. "I have summoned you here not as a superior, Lein, but as a leader to a leader. You radiate the aura of a Guardian carrying the fate of a realm on his shoulders... A new realm, correct?"

Lein was not surprised. An entity at the Sect Master’s level would surely have vast information. "Nothing can truly be hidden from the Sect Master’s eyes," Lein replied politely.

Luxador nodded. "This Dominion is in a period of upheaval. Territorial wars are only the surface of a larger storm. I want the Invictus Sect to have allies it can rely on in the future, especially an ally with potential that transcends the limits."

Luxador placed an ancient golden scroll on the table. The Secret Alliance Pact.

"Sign this. Invictus will be your protector behind the scenes in the Nova Consortium region. In exchange, the Earth Kingdom will be a safe harbor for us if one day a great storm destroys this sect."

Lein read every clause with the help of his system. After ensuring there were no contract traps, he channeled a bit of his energy onto the scroll. A small explosion of golden light occurred, the pact was now valid by soul law.

For Lein, this was a profitable agreement. Getting a high-tier race for "free" in the future to inhabit his world was a very good investment.

"A wise choice," Luxador muttered with satisfaction. He then handed over a small velvet box. "This is a sign of our friendship."

Inside was a silver ring with an incredibly detailed galaxy engraving.

[Inter-Realm Communication Ring]

Function: Allows sending cross-dimensional text messages across cosmic distances.

Limitation: In The Great Void area, this ring can only send one short text message every 3 months.

"Thank you. This is very useful," Lein said.

While a 3-month limit would be heavy for others, for Lein who possessed Infinity Duplicate, he could produce millions of similar rings in an instant. The quantity limit was utterly meaningless to him.

Before Lein rose, Luxador leaned his body forward, his voice lowering.

"One more thing, Lein... Be careful. The Dawnlight Cosmos Hunter Association is actively moving to find individuals with ’God Candidate’ status. And your name has already entered their priority list."

Lein fell silent for a moment. The name of that organization awakened memories of his brief conflict in the past. A cold, thin smile appeared on his lips.

"Let them come. My voyage ship might feel a bit boring without a little entertainment in the middle of the void."

Luxador laughed softly, though his eyes remained alert. "Incredible confidence. Go then. May the stars always guide your way."

Lein bowed his head, his final respect as an Elder then vanished in a clean spatial step.

***

Elder Island – Teleportation Platform.

Atop the massive platform, Laras, Efan, and one hundred and twenty slaves were already lined up. Several other off-duty Elders and their families gathered to give their farewells.

Thurok came to approach Lein while carrying a toddler, his beloved grandson.

"May your journey be safe, Lord Lein. I hope we can meet again," Thurok said sincerely.

Lein smiled warmly at the toddler. He stroked the boy’s head, then casually pulled out a shimmering green piece of jewelry from his spatial ring.

[Soul-Warding Emerald Bangle]

Type: Spirit Artifact (2-Star)

Rank: 2-Star

Essence: 15,500

Abilities: (Emerald Aegis), (Soul Maintenance)

Thurok’s elderly eyes almost jumped out of their sockets. He could feel the dense fluctuation of God Essence from that bangle. A 2-Star Spirit Artifact! Its value reached tens of thousands of God Essence, a treasure that even a King would have to save for years to buy.

And Lein placed it on a toddler as if it were just a market toy from a night bazaar.

"L-Lord Lein! This is too precious! I cannot..."

"Just keep it, Lord Thurok," Lein interrupted while patting his shoulder. "It’s just a small trinket I picked up at a market. Take good care of your grandson."

Lein waved his hand and walked toward his line, leaving Thurok trembling while holding that "market toy" worth tens of thousands of God Essence.

Lein looked at his entourage. "Is everyone ready?"

"Ready, Master!" the one hundred and twenty slaves roared in unison, their voices shaking the air dock.

"Good. Let’s depart. First destination: EON Gateway."

With a steady step, Lein entered the portal followed by Laras, Efan, Dragnar, and the entire group. This was the first step of their homecoming. From here, they would cross Solareon City, head toward the Sanctus Lux Realm, until finally arriving at the main access: The EON Gateway.
