Chapter 588: Folding the Land
Chapter 588: Folding the Land
Law Manifestation Zone 43.
The sea of void behind the gates offered no warm welcome. A scene of absolute chaos unfolded within the transparent dome of Zone 43.
White lightning lashed out wildly across every inch of the rocky terrain, leaving behind crackling, scorched scars. Dark wind vortices howled across the landscape, pulverizing rocky hills into cosmic dust.
Yet, in the heart of this destructive tempest, a stark contrast stood firm: two massive spheres of light burned with a brilliant radiance, remaining as unshakable as primordial suns melting the surrounding frost.
"Master, do you intend to absorb them before we depart?" Dragnar asked, his voice raised to compete with the roaring winds.
The old dragon was bewildered. Lein had declared they were leaving the Invictus Sect and the Dominion, yet instead of heading toward the exit, they had come to this perilous manifestation zone.
Lein did not answer. He hovered downward, approaching the main entrance of Zone 43. With a single, composed motion, he pressed his Elder identification card against the crystal panel on the door.
Zap...
Grururgurgu...
The dimensional gates groaned open one by one, releasing waves of pressure that caused the air to vibrate violently. The rumble of thunder and the shrieking winds now sounded far more lethal. For a Grandmaster-level expert, staying in this place for even a minute would likely result in a fractured soul and a disintegrated physical body.
"Dragnar... stabilize the central area. Ensure the storm does not interfere with me," Lein commanded curtly.
Instantly, Lein’s body was enveloped in a dense, dark-purple aura. His Dream Element flared to life, forming a thin but impenetrable protective layer around him.
Dragnar, who was already hovering high above the landmass, looked down at his master with a furrowed brow. "What exactly is the Master doing? Does he plan to destroy this place?"
he muttered to himself.
However, his confusion quickly turned into sheer shock. Below him, the environment surrounding Lein began to warp. Tiny stars manifested from the empty air, followed by a visualization of a rotating miniature galaxy that expanded in all directions. Soul Altar - Universe.
Every time the projection of the galaxy collided with the spatial lightning within the zone, a massive explosion erupted.
BOOM!
KABOOM!
"Such a powerful soul..." Dragnar murmured, his heart trembling at the mental pressure emanating from Lein’s soul altar.
Realizing that he, too, had to exert his full strength to avoid being swept away, Dragnar began his transformation. The aura of a Tier 4 King exploded from his body, suppressing the gravity in the vicinity until space itself seemed to curve.
Crack...
Fush...
Hard, dark-green dragon scales replaced his human skin. Scorching steam hissed from his pores as his massive dragon wings unfurled with a guttural roar.
Clap!
By pressing his palms together in front of his chest, he channeled the surge of dragon blood energy.
"AARRGHHH!!"
Thump... Thump...
Dragnar unleashed his Dragon Heart Roar. Low-frequency pressure waves spread like ripples on a lake, slamming into the white lightning storm at the center of the zone. Instantly, the once-wild spatial flashes slowed and bowed, as if a savage predator were being forced into submission by its king.
Seeing that the storm had stabilized, Lein began to move. He glided rapidly toward the center of the island, approaching one of the Law Seeds.
The closer he drew to the sphere of light, the pressure increased tenfold with every meter. Fortunately, Lein’s Soul Altar and Dream Element provided solid protection. Furthermore, Lein’s understanding of Gravity Law, which was nearing 30%, greatly assisted him in neutralizing the crushing force generated by the Spatial Law Seed.
When the distance was sufficient, Lein came to a halt. He reached into his spatial ring and retrieved an object.
A pitch-black chest appeared, etched with a faintly rotating galaxy symbol on its surface. Void Chest (5-Star Spirit Artifact).
As the lid opened, a subtle yet absolute gravitational pull took hold. The Spatial Law Seed, which glowed like a miniature sun, was slowly drawn inside. There were no explosions, no significant dimensional tremors. The Void Chest perfectly isolated every energy fluctuation until the seed was fully contained.
Click.
The chest closed. The first Law Seed was secured.
"What?" Lein muttered, slightly surprised.
He had been prepared to use the full power of his Soul Altar in case of a dimensional rejection while capturing the seed. However, everything had proceeded so smoothly that it surpassed his expectations. The only logical explanation was that the quality of a 5-Star Spirit Artifact truly existed on a different plane.
Crack...
Durururu...
However, with the removal of the first seed, the cohesion within the manifestation zone began to unravel. Without the Law Seed acting as the stabilizing core, the 10-kilometer-wide rocky landmass began to lose its spatial balance. Large cracks began to spiderweb across the ground.
"I must be quick," Lein whispered. There was still one more Law Seed at the edge of the terrain.
High above, Dragnar could only stare with wide, awe-struck eyes. "Storing Law Seeds? Master possesses such a god-tier artifact?" The dragon-man felt a chill as he contemplated the sheer depth of his master’s wealth.
Once more, Lein repeated the process, sealing the second Law Seed within the Void Chest.
With both law cores secured, Lein soared higher into the air. This time, he held a bluish metallic plate adorned with carvings of four wind vortices at its corners. Four-Direction Formation (5-Star Spirit Artifact).
"I hope this goes as smoothly as the Void Chest," Lein hissed.
In the past, manipulating a spatial artifact of this tier would have drained almost all of his energy. But now, with his Space Law understanding having reached 30%, Lein felt as though every fiber of the atoms around him obeyed his will. The metal plate felt as light as a feather, acting as an extension of his own body.
He hurled the plate downward.
WUUUUUM!!!
Four pillars of primordial wind erupted from the corners of the plate, streaking toward the North, South, East, and West of the landmass. The pillars anchored themselves firmly at the horizons of Zone 43, locking the reality surrounding it.
Then, a sight that defied logic occurred.
The massive 10-kilometer island began to curve at its edges. Slowly but surely, the rocky island folded in on itself—like a sheet of origami being manipulated by the invisible hands of a god. It shrunk, compressed, and solidified until the entire massive landmass was absorbed into the formation plate, which then drifted back into Lein’s palm.
Dragnar, who had returned to his human form, could only stand there in stunned silence. As a King, he knew how impossible it was to move large-scale landmasses across dimensions without compromising their structural integrity.
"Pocketing the laws of the universe as if they were mere building blocks..." Dragnar murmured, his respect for Lein now reaching its zenith.
Lein placed the metal plate and the Void Chest back into his spatial ring. He flicked a speck of imaginary dust from his robes, his eyes returning to their cold, calm state.
"Preparations are complete," Lein announced. "Let us meet Luxador. It is time for us to return home."
