Chapter 689: The Woodward Family Comes Looking for Trouble
Fortunately, this time, Yvonne appeared just in time, "Ms. Woodward, Director Nora is waiting for you in the office, please come with me."
Only to hear Lynn Woodward snort coldly, before leaving, she didn’t forget to sneer a couple more times: "Keep your eyes open, don’t just stand at the reception like a vase."
The staff were too afraid to show their anger, watching Lynn Woodward leave with grievances in their eyes.
Not long after, someone from the cafe next door delivered some refreshments, accompanied by a note: Don’t let unrelated people affect your mood, be good.
Without much thought, it was obvious that this was Yvonne’s handiwork.
The girl with curly hair sighed, "How can the gap between people be so wide?"
"No wonder the Woodward Family has started to decline, it’s not surprising with someone like that."
The closed elevator.
Lynn Woodward stood with her arms crossed, while Yvonne stood half a meter behind her, maintaining a distance between them.
Yvonne discreetly observed, she rarely saw members of the Sinclair Family.
The woman in front of her, over forty, wore a dress with dark embossed patterns, a heavy jade pendant around her neck, and a gold bracelet on her left hand.
The entire outfit on Lynn Woodward didn’t appear noble at all, instead, it resembled the wife of a nouveau riche.
With a "ding," the elevator doors opened, and Yvonne withdrew her gaze, putting on an official smile, "Ms. Woodward, please come with me."
Her posture and etiquette had already been professionally trained by Zachary’s side.
Now, no matter how hard Rachel Woodward tried to find fault, she couldn’t, only to look on helplessly.
The two of them weaved through the executive offices, finally stopping at a door.
A silver plaque, half the size of a palm, bore the words "Chairman’s Office."
"Director Nora is waiting for you inside." Yvonne said as she stepped aside and knocked on the door.
"Come in."
A gentle and pleasing voice sounded from behind the door, muffled by the barrier between them.
Lynn Woodward took the lead in pushing the door open, and Yvonne hesitated for a second before following her in.
In theory, Yvonne didn’t have to wait by the side.
But seeing Lynn Woodward’s hostile stance, she was worried about any incidents inside.
She pulled out her phone from her pocket, her fingers quickly moving over the screen.
"Bring Director Sinclair up immediately, and tell him Ms. Woodward has arrived."
Once the message was sent, Yvonne finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Inside, without waiting for Nora Northwood to appear from behind the computer screen, there was the sound of noisy chatter, "Nora Northwood, get your people to take down the Woodward Family’s news!"
Without seeing the person, hearing the voice first, Nora Northwood could truly understand the meaning of the saying.
She tugged at her clothing, smoothing the creases on the front of her shirt, facing Lynn Woodward directly, "Second Aunt, the company’s matters aren’t decided by me alone, this was a consensus reached after the meeting. You can’t just say wind is wind, rain is rain, otherwise, how am I supposed to manage the thousands of people under me?"
"How you manage is your own business, right now I’m demanding that you immediately take down all negative news about the Woodward Family!"
"May I ask boldly, in what capacity are you requesting me to take it down?"
"I’m your elder, is this how you talk to your elders? I see it’s Jasper who spoiled you, you have no manners at all, eating and drinking from the Sinclair Family, and in the end, stabbing your own family in the back, you’re basically a traitor!"
Jasper Sinclair’s arrival, coincidentally, captured this harsh exchange.
