Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 684: Her Way of Handling Things

Chapter 684: Her Way of Handling Things

Jasper Sinclair took people to Rhys Linden’s place, the first choice for drinking to relieve pressure.

Rhys personally served the dishes and jokingly asked, "Nora, are you satisfied with my service?"

He’s great at livening up the atmosphere, with just a few words, he scattered Nora Northwood’s tense thoughts, accustomed to dealing with bar patrons, skilled at understanding people’s hearts.

Nora filled a glass with Belgian white beer, the glass instantly became ice-cold, she handed it to Rhys, "Of course I’m satisfied, let’s clink glasses."

Rhys accepted the glass, glanced over at Jasper Sinclair, as if silently asking.

Upon receiving the nod, his smile widened even further, "Cheers, tonight we won’t go home until we’re drunk!"

Immediately followed by a crisp sound.

Nora raised her glass and gulped down half, the fragrant floral liquor slid down her throat, the texture dense and refreshing, leaving an endless aftertaste.

"Nora, imported beer from Belgium, use your professional judgment to evaluate, how does it taste?"

Nora’s mind was still clear, one glass wasn’t enough to intoxicate, seriously critiquing now, "The fusion of coriander seeds and orange peel is just right, the taste is balanced, rich yet gentle."

Jasper listened to their conversation, quietly peeling shrimp shells by the side, placing the peeled shrimp on a small plate in front of Nora, occasionally reminding, "Don’t drink on an empty stomach, eat something."

Once the plate before her was empty, he promptly replaced it with a new one, piled high with shrimp.

After a few bottles of white beer, Nora’s gaze began to wander, her speech started mixing up sounds.

Clearly, she was drunk.

Jasper paused his actions, signaling to Rhys with his eyes.

Rhys caught on, placed the beer bottles by his feet, "Nora, one shouldn’t drink too much beer, my brother will chat with you, call me if anything comes up."

Saying that, he stood up to leave.

Nora stretched out her arm behind him, slightly annoyed, "I haven’t finished yet! Why are you running off, can’t you out drink me?"

With this, Jasper further confirmed, she was drunk.

"Nora, let’s go home, you’re a bit drunk, if you still want a drink, we have some at home."

With just a few words, he coaxed Nora to obediently nod.

Jasper held her with one hand, carrying her bag with the other, from behind, it looked a bit odd.

The parking spot, the chauffeur was already waiting.

Suddenly moving from a noisy place to a quiet interior of the car, it felt a bit unsettling.

Fatigue enveloped Nora, she leaned against Jasper’s chest, seemingly boneless, letting him maneuver her as he wished.

The ride back was about twenty minutes.

Nora leaned and leaned until her breathing gradually became even; when Jasper looked down again, she was already asleep.

He observed the sleeping face nestled in his arms, eyebrows slightly furrowed, eyelashes curled, evidently, the internal distress hadn’t completely dissipated.

Hence, Jasper started replaying and organizing the timeline, wondering at which point had things gone awry?

By logic, Mina’s issue should be resolved after tonight.

Nora isn’t someone who holds grudges particularly, otherwise, she wouldn’t have easily let Andrea Miller off back then.

Her current demeanor clearly indicated she hadn’t let it go.

Thinking it over, Jasper recalled the girl once mentioned, her family was severely ill, bearing expensive medical costs.

In an instant, the man had an epiphany.

He broke into a smile, silently marveling at whether Nora’s kindness was truly good or bad?
