Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 611: Returning Home

Chapter 611: Returning Home

On the third day after the expo ended, the group passed through customs to return to Stanton City. Five people came, but fewer returned.

Lily stayed in Paris to visit her brother and didn’t travel with them.

Nora took Jasper Sinclair’s private jet, and after several comings and goings, only Shane Hamilton and Megan Underwood were left.

There will always be moments when paths diverge.

...

Nora settled into the warmly heated cabin as the flight attendant diligently confirmed the seatbelts and window shades, awaiting the airport’s announcement.

Subtly, she felt her body moving forward.

She thought of the question she hadn’t asked that night, and seized this chance to open her mouth: "Jasper, if Grandma Sinclair hadn’t met me back then, would we have never crossed paths in this life?"

Amidst the roaring noise, she heard Jasper Sinclair’s reply.

"Just do what you want to do, and who knows, I might walk into your flower shop at some crossroads."

The plane soared to nine thousand meters, and she joked, "I hope you don’t go to my flower shop to buy flowers for other pretty girls."

"Why couldn’t it be for Grandma?"

The two chatted and laughed, making the lengthy journey of over ten hours not so boring.

Stanton City finally welcomed its spring in late March.

The spring nights held a paradoxical silence and noise.

In the study.

A man and a woman exchanged almost no words, only the constant sound of keyboards and the soft clicks of a mouse were heard.

Outside the study.

The cool breeze rustled the sycamore leaves, accompanied by birdsong.

At 9:30, the alarm clock rang right on time, reminding the two absorbed in work to put down their computers.

This was Jasper Sinclair and Nora’s new rule; no matter how busy they were, any time after 9:30 was reserved for themselves.

They took turns going to the shower room, where, through a frosted glass window, the silhouette inside was faintly visible.

The person outside looked away, forcing themselves to move their gaze.

When the sound of water ceased abruptly, Jasper went in to help dry her hair.

Nora’s hair was thick, and drying it always took quite some effort.

But Jasper never tired of it.

"It’s dry now, brush through it."

He put away the blow dryer but didn’t hurry to leave, leaning against the marble wall, watching as she fiddled with her hair.

One hand accidentally pressed the light switch.

The bathroom went dark; instinctively, Nora looked at Jasper, who had no intention of turning the light back on and rested his hands on her lower back instead.

The door was open, the mirror reflecting the light from the bedroom, keeping the surroundings from being too dark.

Jasper’s fingers moved inch by inch, tracing the outline of her body.

The emotions and desires within were stirred, causing her to shudder.

Nora’s hands, uncontrollably, circled around Jasper’s neck, her slightly trembling fingertips betraying her inner thoughts. She buried her head in his neck and murmured, "Jasper, carry me to the bedroom."

The man didn’t comply, saying, "Right here."

Immediately, Nora felt her hips lifted and placed on the edge of the sink.

Oddly, her first thought was about the quality of the furniture.

Jasper examined her warm white skin, his thin lips faintly pursing, leaning in closer, then a little closer.

In the darkness, he kissed her.

As the mist gradually faded from the room, Jasper saw the veins on the back of his hand through the mirror.

He wondered if he had been too forceful.

So, unconsciously, he restrained himself a bit.
