Chapter 608: Private Runway Show
Chapter 608: Private Runway Show
Paris morning.
Nora Northwood was bedridden, enjoying a rare lazy sleep-in.
Cillian waited until nearly ten o’clock before receiving news that she was hungry.
During her meal, Cillian explained the schedule arranged by Director Sinclair: "Mrs. Sinclair, a CHANEL show has been prepared for you."
"When was that planned?"
Nora Northwood was skeptical; she couldn’t remember such an arrangement.
"Director Sinclair instructed before he left this morning." Cillian finished with a formal smile.
"Okay."
Nora Northwood didn’t like being alone with a group of strangers, so she called Megan Underwood and Lily Sloan.
The remaining male colleagues were not on her invitation list.
The group arrived at the CHANEL store, where the public relations director was already waiting to welcome their distinguished guests.
The director courteously opened the car door, his right hand gentlemanly placed at the car roof.
"Ms. Northwood, welcome."
Nora Northwood leaned out of the car, offering the director a smile, polite yet retaining a sense of distance.
She had heard Cillian calling her "Mrs. Sinclair" over the past few days, but hearing her given name and surname now, at least her mood was pleasant.
No wonder someone so young could attain the position of public relations director.
Inside, the regional manager approached, extending a hand for a gentle shake with Nora Northwood.
"Happy to see you and your friends, was there any heavy traffic on the way?"
"We missed the morning peak, so it wasn’t too congested."
The regional manager’s skills were a bit higher; within a few words, he closed the gap and made relations more familiar.
The several Asian faces felt an unprecedented sense of being at home.
Lily Sloan said: "It’s your Director Sinclair’s grand face!"
Even top-tier domestic celebrities probably wouldn’t receive such treatment, she thought.
In fact, Lily Sloan’s thoughts proved correct.
Because, the models attending the show were all genuine, having walked the Victoria’s Secret runway.
The manager seamlessly invited everyone to ascend the steps, crossing through the lobby and corridor.
Meanwhile, the director’s figure vanished from everyone’s sight; he had something else to prepare.
After seating, the regional manager did not hurry to leave but stood beside Nora Northwood, discreetly scanning the scene, looking for the public relations figure.
Quickly, several staff members arrived, bringing along tea and refreshments.
"Specially prepared Chinese snacks for you all, hoping to suit your taste, along with some classic French pastries."
In fact, everyone didn’t know there were others coming along.
So, snacks were prepared for only one person.
Luckily, the public relations acted swiftly, personally fetching extra pastries from the bakery; although it might seem like filling up the count, no one would mind.
The wealthier the people, the less they would fuss about minor details.
A show proceeded quietly.
Unlike before, there were no flashing lights, no hubbub of voices.
Everyone quietly watched the models, observed the clothes.
CHANEL can lead at the fashion forefront for a reason, whether in color coordination or in tailoring, it surprises the eye.
The regional manager sat on Nora Northwood’s left, occasionally providing brief explanations to her.
Nora Northwood would nod in response, and also discuss a few remarks with her friends.
The staff’s positions were diagonally opposite, their task was not to watch the show but to observe the VIPs.
For example: the expressions of the VIPs, the duration of gaze, change at the corner of the lips... based on these, they make notes or conduct marketing.
Of course, those who sit in this position of VIP do not need too much marketing.
