Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 599: Treating Her Wounds

Chapter 599: Treating Her Wounds

As they left the parking lot, Nora Northwood wrapped her arms around Jasper Sinclair’s waist and spoke in a low voice, "It still hurts a little. Carry me, I don’t want to walk."

Though there was quite an age difference between them, she rarely displayed such a girlish demeanor.

It was the first time Jasper Sinclair saw her like this, and he was particularly taken by it as he carried her into the room.

After returning to the room, he took off Nora’s coat to check her injuries.

Once he confirmed there were no other wounds, his heart finally settled.

Nora sat with her knees together, thinking: We need to get a new cleaning team for the company!

Jasper grabbed a cushion from the sofa for her, placing it under her calves, "Sit here and don’t move; I’ll go downstairs to get the first aid kit."

Nora listened and obediently sat still.

She gazed out the window, seeing her reflection in the translucent glass.

She thought, this is the happiest moment.

Before long, Jasper returned with a small white medicine box.

"Let me wipe it first; it might sting a bit, but I’ll try to be gentle."

"Okay."

Nora gritted her teeth, almost imagining how painful the iodine application would be.

The wound on her knee, covered by her long skirt for too long, had become mottled. After gently wiping with clean water, a patch of light red skin was revealed, the fair skin nowhere to be seen.

Jasper looked up, noticing her furrowed brows.

"Be careful next time you walk. You’re not a kid anymore, yet you still manage to fall like this."

"I know, I didn’t fall on purpose," Nora pouted, feeling somewhat aggrieved.

Jasper then changed his posture, half-kneeling beside her, a cotton swab soaked in brown iodine ready to be applied to her knee.

A millimeter away, Nora cried out, "Wait, wait!"

She grabbed her phone from the bedside table and opened a short video app, "I’ll watch some funny videos to distract myself. You have to be gentle."

"I’ll try. Think about all those times you talked back to me; maybe I’ll take this chance for revenge."

"I never talked back to you! How can you use personal grudges professionally?"

"It’s not work-related, just some occupational hazard banter."

They exchanged a few playful words, and Jasper seized the moment when Nora was distracted, directly applying the wet cotton swab.

This had her inhaling sharply in pain, yelling, "Jasper Sinclair—"

Luckily, the villa had excellent soundproofing; otherwise, people unaware of the situation might think someone was being slaughtered!

"One more wipe, the last one," Jasper said, not waiting for her approval, swapping to a new cotton swab for another application.

Nora clenched her fists tightly, her features wrinkled together. She always thought she had a high tolerance for pain, but now she realized she was no stronger than others, feeling like she was regressing.

She whimpered pitifully, "No more wiping, just leave it like this."

Clearly, she was really in pain.

Jasper observed her tightly pursed lips, her shoulders trembling slightly. He leaned forward and gently kissed the corner of her lips, "I’ll help you bandage it; the wound can’t touch water. No bath tonight."

"Not bathing feels uncomfortable. How about bandaging it later?"

"I’ll wipe you down; if you get it wet, be careful it doesn’t get inflamed and hurt even more."

With just a few words, Jasper scared Nora into silence, obediently cradling her knee, waiting for him to bandage her.
