Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 564: Opening Up

Chapter 564: Opening Up

Elaine’s words became exceptionally abundant, revealing a side unseen by others.

Under the guidance of the porter, the two took their seats in the warmth of the garden house.

Approaching Cold Dew, autumn’s presence became more pronounced. A longer stroll outside made fingers feel cold, partly due to Nora Northwood’s flimsy attire. Eager to visit Jasper Sinclair at the hospital, she forgot to bring a coat when she left, and now she wore only a thin knitted shirt.

The nearby waiter was perceptive and seized on this detail, asking, "Miss Irving, would you like the indoor temperature adjusted?"

"It’s perfect, thank you."

Afterwards, the chef arrived.

The bearded chef looked amusing, the kind of amusing meant positively.

He introduced the details of today’s meal to the two seated at the dining table.

"Today’s cold dish is New Zealand ham with caviar, offering a distinct flavor."

...

Nora Northwood’s gaze lingered as she followed the chef’s introduction, back and forth.

After the introduction, the chef asked, "Do either of you have dietary restrictions or allergies?"

Nora Northwood and Elaine exchanged glances, understood each other’s meanings, and the former replied that neither had restrictions, but they skipped the wine selection.

This was the first dinner after they reunited, making them exceptionally cheerful.

They chatted while eating, stretching a meal typically finished in an hour to two hours. The chef noticed the young girl’s fondness for sweet flavors and added a few extra desserts.

When one is happy, the appetite often grows.

Nora Northwood, noticing her little belly swelling, teased herself, saying, "Today’s chef must really like me."

"If you like, I can invite him to cook at home."

"That’s unnecessary, otherwise I’d end up incredibly fat!"

The driver next door paced back and forth, having had three servings of pumpkin conch soup without seeing the boss emerge!

Finally, he heard a voice from the entrance, "Master Linden, Madam and Miss have finished their meal and will arrive at the entrance in five minutes."

The driver finally heard what he had been waiting for and hurried away.

The night deepened.

Elaine took the scarf from her neck and wrapped it around Nora Northwood, gazing quietly at her for a few seconds, "The temperature drops at night, don’t catch cold. Remember to wear a coat when you go out, take care of your health."

The scarf carried a faint elegance, evoking a pleasant mood.

Nora Northwood smiled gently and obediently replied, "Okay."

Elaine escorted her back to the small villa, hesitating with words before leaving.

"It’s late, you should rest early."

On the first day of recognizing her biological daughter, Elaine was loath to leave just like that.

She examined the small villa up and down, feeling Nora Northwood shouldn’t be living in such a place, so she contemplated aloud, "How about I get you a bigger house?"

Nora Northwood had yet to digest those words when Elaine added, "I have a villa at Xiangmi Lake, close to your workplace. Why not move there?"

Her gaze shifted from bewilderment to clarity, soon plunging into deeper contemplation.

Are wealthy people always so generous?

The surprise on her face was unmistakable in Elaine’s eyes.

"When you were with Jasper, did you also live here?"

Instantly, her liking for Jasper Sinclair diminished slightly. How could he let her daughter endure staying in such a small place! Absolutely outrageous!
