Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 556: Let’s Talk

Chapter 556: Let’s Talk

The halftime break isn’t long, soon they’ll head to the next filming location. Jasper Sinclair conjured up a thermal lunchbox like a magician.

"Seafood risotto and brown sugar water, fill your stomach first."

The mix of foods sounded quite off-putting, but Nora Northwood braced herself and scooped a small spoonful of rice.

Three minutes before the break ended, a staff member came over and knocked on the window, signaling the driver to roll down the window.

"Miss Northwood, in three minutes we’ll head to the next filming location. Are you following with which car?"

Jasper Sinclair answered for her, "What’s the address? Our car will follow behind."

Then, the person outside listed a series of addresses, leading to a traditional, quaint Hakka town.

Nora secretly pinched Jasper’s thigh, disliking his presumptuousness, but the words were already said.

She gave a friendly smile to the staff and politely said a few words, "Thank you everyone for your hard work."

"It’s not hard, that’s what we’re supposed to do."

Through the window, Nora saw a few people carrying equipment onto the nanny van.

Several others got into another car; they needed to arrive at the town by eight o’clock.

The engines of the cars roared one after another, the car under Nora’s seat started again.

She put down her utensils, dissatisfied, she said to Jasper Sinclair, "Why did you act on your own? This is my own matter!"

"Do you want to starve and squeeze with a bunch of men?"

Nora choked, indeed she didn’t want to.

It’s not that she had opinions about the opposite sex, but the clothes she was wearing were really inconvenient. With a nearly forty-minute journey, she would have to sit upright the whole time; it’s more comfortable in Jasper Sinclair’s space.

Finally, she closed her mouth.

The carriage quieted down again, Jasper Sinclair raised the partition, separating the driver’s seat from the back into two small worlds.

Seeing this, Nora immediately crossed her arms protectively in front of her chest, her face changed to full alertness.

"Let’s talk."

"What do you want to talk about?" The vigilance in her eyes quietly faded, replaced by seriousness.

"Before the end of the year, I’ll fly to Melbourne once. After resolving my parents’ matters, I’ll send Peach Bell back to where she originally belongs. Give me a little time, can you?"

Nora let out a silent laugh, slightly raised her right buttock, turning most of her body towards Jasper Sinclair, "I’m not bothered by Peach Bell’s presence, but by your inability to balance emotions and family ties."

Jasper Sinclair wasn’t very understanding.

For someone who has been single since birth for thirty years, it’s indeed a bit difficult.

He replied stiffly, "I don’t have much experience in relationships, and this is my first time interacting with a girl. In other words, you’re my first love. I think I’ve been misunderstanding something in our relationship, haven’t I?"

"Perhaps, maybe."

"Tell me, what should I do, or what do you hope I would do?"

The seriousness reflected in his pupils couldn’t deceive anyone.

Nora was silent for a moment, remembering they had gone a long time without calmly communicating.

She took a breath and organized her words, "Many times when I needed you, many times when choices had to be made, your choices weren’t me. I understand you want to figure out what’s happening with your uncle and aunt, but you can’t keep using it as an excuse to hurt me again and again."
