Chapter 555: An Accident During the Photoshoot
Chapter 555: An Accident During the Photoshoot
At this moment, she had an innate aloofness and pride, instantly elevating the atmosphere to its peak, so much so that even the experienced photographer was left stunned.
However, the reality was not as beautiful as it seemed.
"Achoo—"
The autumn temperature was only twenty degrees, and it was even more so at the seaside in the early morning. Everyone wore warm, windproof wool coats, except for Nora Northwood, who exposed large areas of skin.
The photographer saw her sneezing continuously and immediately mobilized the on-site staff.
"The temperature is low at the seaside, so let’s finish the shoot quickly and return to the city as early as possible."
The photographer had been informed early on that today’s model was not a professional and needed special guidance.
Halfway through the shoot, Nora noticed an extra business car not far away, just parked behind the Alphard she had arrived in.
When did this car arrive?
The photographer didn’t give her a chance to ponder, hurriedly switching to a new posed position.
The train of the dress was adjusted by the photo assistant to present a wavy texture.
The camera shifted from the coastline to Nora’s face, moving all the way down.
The first phase of the shoot concluded, with a twenty-minute intermission.
Lily Sloan rushed to Nora’s side, hugging a wool coat, and asked worriedly, "Nora, are you very cold? Look, your nose is all red from the cold!"
"I can handle it."
She had just finished speaking when she sneezed again.
Nora’s body was already filled with the cold wind, her steps felt unsteady as if she was about to float off the ground.
Lily helped her into the Alphard. Nearby, the business car revealed a dark, cold figure leaning against the car door, clearly waiting for someone.
As the person he was waiting for came closer, he raised his eyes, sweeping his gaze from top to bottom over Nora, then straightened his posture, stepped forward, and asked, "Is the shoot over?"
Nora was stunned by Jasper Sinclair’s appearance and dodged his question by asking another, "What are you doing here?"
Her eyes were cautious, as if looking at a stalker with bad intentions.
Jasper felt wronged and clarified her confusion succinctly, "The Sinclair Group provided the shooting location, so it shouldn’t be surprising for me to be here."
Her pupils visibly dilated; Nora didn’t expect this guy to be waiting here for her!
The surroundings returned to silence. After two or three minutes, Jasper opened the back seat door and said, "Get in." His broad hand shielded the car’s edge, showing rare chivalry.
Unfortunately, someone wasn’t buying into his kindness.
"I have a car."
"The heater is on, and I’ve prepared some red sugar ginger water for you. I suppose you haven’t had breakfast yet."
With attention to every detail, Jasper had truly outdone himself this time.
Lily also urged her friend, "Get in the car quickly, there are only fifteen minutes left before the second phase of the shoot begins!"
And so, with half reluctance and half consent, Nora got into Jasper’s business car.
Lily, understanding how to read the room, gave them privacy by going to the Alphard herself.
"What’s the point in providing the shooting location to President Lewis?"
He really didn’t need to do this.
"Seeing you is the whole point." With that, the man squinted his eyes slightly, revealing a hint of satisfaction.
His emotions usually stayed hidden in the shadows, and such a blunt confession was rare, taking her by surprise.
Surprise mixed with a tinge of delight.
Nora squeezed her palm, not knowing when it became warm and moist.
