Chapter 517: Come Back to the Hotel with Me

Chapter 517: Come Back to the Hotel with Me

Lily was about to ask the Sloan Family’s driver to pick her up when Finnian Lawrence spoke up, breaking the awkwardness, "Come back to the hotel with me."

She was stunned, then, considering the bad weather outside, she nodded in agreement.

After walking a short distance, she suddenly came to her senses and added, "Mr. Lawrence, I’m not that kind of girl."

Her voice was weak, making the person listening frown.

"I’m not that kind of... boy either," Finnian Lawrence said, adjusting his suit jacket.

The fabric of the suit was exquisite, and although it was plain black, under the lighting, it displayed several layers of texture, making him look noble and elegant.

The craftsmanship of a top tailor was evident in such details.

Lily was born into a middle-class family and had met quite a few young men and big bosses.

But she always felt that no one’s demeanor could compare to Finnian Lawrence.

Spotless, with an innate nobility, his very presence drew people’s attention, leaving them wanting just one more glance, and after doing so, lingering to appreciate, yet feeling he was very distant.

...

It was also raining in the city center, but it was a fine, continuous drizzle.

The sky blue above was tinted with black ink, appearing a dark shade of blue at the moment.

Even the dazzling city lights couldn’t change that.

Jasper Sinclair used a little trick to bring Nora Northwood to a couples’ restaurant.

The two of them sat by the window, with the semi-transparent glass reflecting the dining table, while the impeccably dressed waitstaff passed by, waiting for the call of the wealthy.

There might even be tips.

"I’m going to the restroom," she said as a graceful figure rose from the chair and followed the server’s direction to the restroom.

Jasper Sinclair was left alone at the table; he glanced down at the messages on his phone.

"Peach Bell agreed to go to the Montague Academy." It was a message from the butler two hours ago.

Nora returned as he was scrolling through the messages.

When she sat down again, people at nearby tables looked over, as her aura was undeniably captivating.

"I saw the second miss of the Woodward Family in the restroom," she said with a hint of resentment, glossing over what had just happened.

Oddly enough, they always seemed to meet in these kinds of places.

Rachel Woodward said to her, "The Sinclair Family taking in Peach Bell—what are they up to? Anyone with eyes can see, and staying quiet for so long has even made the matriarch anxious; this isn’t some ordinary small household, they need someone to continue the family line."

Nora didn’t understand the Sinclair Family’s intentions, nor Rachel Woodward’s motives.

Logically, this woman should dislike her intensely.

Surely, she wouldn’t consider her perspective.

As she pondered, her thoughts drifted far away.

"Nora, don’t bother with irrelevant people."

Jasper Sinclair pulled her thoughts back and placed a piece of foie gras on her plate.

"Thank you."

Nora leaned forward, and the diamond pendant at her swan-like neck dangled a bit.

As she chewed her food, her chin moved rhythmically, stirring one’s heart and mind.

In a flash, Jasper Sinclair realized that during these months of divorce proceedings, she had become increasingly captivating, making him willingly succumb to her charm.

Towards the end of the meal, Nora set down her utensils, her expression suddenly becoming serious. She straightened her back, and with a graceful posture, her white teeth and red lips parted slightly.
