Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 467: Sinclair Residence Family Dinner

Chapter 467: Sinclair Residence Family Dinner

The first week of July ended.

Jasper Sinclair and Nora Northwood returned to The Sinclair Residence as scheduled to attend the family dinner. In front of outsiders, they still appeared to be a deeply in love couple.

Grandma Sinclair had some minor heart issues, and Jasper was concerned that she wouldn’t be able to accept the truth of their divorce, so he coordinated with Nora to conceal their marital status.

Of course, this was also one of his tactics to keep Nora in check.

At the family dinner, he was dressed formally.

The French shirt fit perfectly along the waistline of his trousers, tailored precisely to his standards, without a trace of a wrinkle.

Surprisingly, Rachel Woodward also attended today’s family dinner.

She saw Peach Bell’s face and recalled that call of "Ms. Woodward," feeling both shy and helpless.

A group of people appeared to be chatting and laughing on the surface, but harbored their own thoughts in secret.

Peach Bell alone sat relaxed, leaning casually against the back of the dining chair, her gaze searching for things that interested her.

"Sinclair, I want to eat the sweet shrimp in front of you."

This sweet shrimp dish was a last-minute addition from the kitchen, prepared especially for Nora.

For a moment, the gazes exchanged between them were subtly changed.

Jasper made no move, and the servant standing behind him didn’t dare to overstep.

Just as Peach Bell was about to reach for the dish herself, Lynn Woodward took action.

She recklessly moved the entire plate of sweet shrimp in front of Peach Bell, speaking in a pampering tone towards the younger generation: "Kids are just greedy."

"Thank you, Auntie," Peach Bell replied sweetly with a smile, not noticing the change at the table.

Jasper Sinclair quipped, "Uncle will be returning to the country soon, right?"

The second branch of the Sinclair Family had shifted their focus overseas to support Jenson Sinclair’s studies; Sinclair’s second uncle had been working abroad for years and hadn’t returned for a long time.

Lynn Woodward couldn’t figure out the underlying meaning in Jasper’s words.

Her lack of understanding didn’t mean Jenson Sinclair was clueless.

He then replied, "Thanks for your concern, cousin, we’re planning for the end of next month to return to the country."

As he finished speaking, a complex expression passed through Jenson Sinclair’s eyes.

After the banquet ended, Peach Bell clung to Jasper, calling him by his name repeatedly and grabbing his arm, unwilling to let go.

Grandma Sinclair merely saw it as playful banter between siblings and didn’t think much of it, ignoring the situation.

Others viewed it differently.

Nora lowered her head, light makeup highlighting her eyes that flickered with emotion, finding last night’s scenes utterly amusing.

"Sinclair, I want to eat an orange, can you peel one for me?"

Jasper glanced toward the servant.

The servant understood immediately and handed Peach Bell an orange, its creamy white pith thoroughly cleaned off.

Peach Bell waved her hand dismissively and said petulantly, "I don’t want it, I want Sinclair to peel it for me himself!"

The orange in the servant’s hand slipped, rolling unexpectedly to Nora’s feet.

She picked it up and threw it into the trash can without a word.

Seeing this, Jasper spoke in a low voice to Peach Bell, "If you want to eat, peel it yourself, there are plenty in the bowl."

"You peel oranges for Sister Northwood, but not for me? You obviously don’t consider me part of the family!" Peach Bell began to throw a little tantrum.

Jasper did not argue.

The others were entertained by the spectacle, Nora included, as she quietly observed Peach Bell.

She felt the girl’s temperament had changed quite a bit, though she couldn’t pinpoint exactly how.

Peach Bell continued to fuss, "I’m going to tell Mr. Sinclair."
