Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 459: Guiding Public Opinion

Chapter 459: Guiding Public Opinion

Nora Northwood pressed her palm against the concrete floor, her knee joints adorned with a few bright red scratches, the pain unbearable.

She gasped, but her voice was drowned out by the boiling commotion.

The two sides were mocking each other, Lily Sloan was fiercely battling on, ignoring her.

Just as her hand was about to be stepped on by someone, Jasper Sinclair pushed his way through the crowd and pulled her up with force.

Nora’s face looked grim. She didn’t want her so-called "ex-husband" to witness this awkward scene, lest she seem pathetic as if she couldn’t accomplish anything after leaving him.

"Where are the security guards? Why make a girl handle this alone?"

"I decided to come out myself," Nora mumbled.

Immediately, Jasper shielded her behind him, his gaze grim as he scanned the crowd present.

"What’s all the shouting about in public?"

The overwhelming pressure made everyone gasp, and the noisy crowd came to a halt instantly.

Jasper Sinclair identified the culprit at a glance, staring at the pale-faced pregnant woman, "Every VK product has clear indications on whether it’s suitable for pregnant women and infants. Knowing you are pregnant, yet you chose to ignite aromatherapy, was your miscarriage accidental or intentional framing?"

His words were precise, his mouth tinged with coldness.

The pregnant woman was fixed by his sharp gaze, her legs beginning to tremble, not daring to meet his eyes.

Jasper’s point was indeed hitting the nail on the head.

The pregnant woman’s evasive eyes and her husband’s guilty demeanor were evident to Nora.

Slowly, Nora realized: she’d been set up!

"The police will be here in ten minutes. You’ll explain the reasons in your written statements."

Jasper’s overly tough attitude extinguished much of the fire in those causing trouble.

The husband was still unyielding, retorting stubbornly, "My wife had a miscarriage after smelling your aromatherapy. If you won’t apologize, then pay up!"

Nora was anxious, unable to fathom how a man in his thirties could shamelessly utter such fraudulent claims.

She confronted him, "First of all, for aromatherapy unsuitable for pregnant women, we have clear warnings. Secondly, you claim aromatherapy caused the miscarriage, where’s the miscarriage proof? VK did nothing wrong; you won’t get an apology nor compensation!"

After she finished, Jasper added, "Get in touch with the hospital and take them for a miscarriage proof."

Upon hearing the word hospital, the pregnant woman was visibly panicked.

She tugged her companion’s sleeve, signaling with her eyes for him to stop.

The man was certainly aware of the true cause of her miscarriage. At this point, their goal was achieved, and there was no need to continue entangling.

So, he swept away, leaving a harsh parting remark, "You’ll pay the price for what you’ve done!"

With the main players gone, the onlookers also dispersed.

Nora looked at Jasper’s gloomy face, unable to say the "Thank you" she was about to utter.

Ultimately, it was Jasper who broke the silence, "You’re injured. Come with me to the hospital."

"There’s a medical kit at the company. I’m not going to the hospital," she stubbornly replied.

"Nora, don’t make me repeat myself over and over again," Jasper seemed to have gotten angry, his tone rising significantly.

The company had just gone through such an ordeal, Nora was already in a bad mood, and being yelled at now made her extremely unhappy.

"I said I’m not going. Can you stop using your logic to demand others!"

Jasper gazed at her coldly, saying no more, pulling her wrist towards the car.
