Chapter 429: Delegation

Two in the afternoon.

Nora Northwood and Leia arrived at the exploration team’s base.

Their entire afternoon was packed with schedules arranged by Galante.

Gregory Nash greeted her with familiarity, "I had prepared an accompanying translator for you, but I didn’t expect you to be more prepared and bring one yourself."

No one was concerned about who arranged Leia’s presence; they were only interested in Nora as Mrs. Jasper Sinclair.

On the first afternoon, they visited Galante’s headquarters and took group photos.

The brand’s publicity work was done quite well.

Afterwards, everyone gathered again for a small seminar.

Even though it was just an afternoon, Nora gained a lot.

In the next two days, she learned about Galante’s reception methods. The seminars continued, only now with an additional option of a formal meeting.

Three days flew by and Nora completed her trip in France.

She had in-depth discussions with several of the brand’s fashion designers, concluding that there are similarities between clothing and aromatherapy.

At the hotel.

Nora nestled against Jasper Sinclair’s shoulder, "Have you finished your work? When do you plan to return to Stanton City?"

Jasper was pondering work-related matters and responded with an indescribable coldness, "Not yet."

"There’s still a pile of work waiting for me in the country, I should be heading back in the next couple of days."

"Okay."

Half a minute passed before Jasper snapped back and asked again, "Wife, are you going back home?"

Nora pouted playfully, complaining, "Were you even listening to me?"

"Sorry, I was thinking about something, say it again."

"I’m planning to buy a ticket for tomorrow night, arriving in Stanton City by the next morning, so I can rest for a couple of hours during the lunch break and continue working in the afternoon."

"How about a stroll tomorrow? Shall I accompany you?" Jasper asked tentatively.

Although Nora wanted him to accompany her more, she knew how busy he was and wasn’t unreasonable, so she shook her head, "You focus on work, Leia will be with me, I will borrow her for the last day."

"On my way back, I passed by a newly opened bar, I’ll take you there to relax."

"That’s a good idea!"

"Change clothes, did you book your flight ticket back?"

"Not yet, I’ll check now."

She said, reaching for the phone on the coffee table.

Jasper stopped her, "No need to buy it, I’ll arrange for the captain, and you can take my plane back, that way it’ll be more comfortable for you."

"Sounds good." Nora agreed.

"What’s the plan for tomorrow?"

"I’ll stroll around nearby and bring back some small gifts for my colleagues."

As they stepped out, nightlife was just beginning.

It was a newly opened bar, packed with guests, and the dance floor was filled with deafening cheers and DJ music.

Nora found two empty seats by the bar and sat down with Jasper.

"What can I get you two to drink?" The waiter asked as soon as they settled.

With Leia not around, Jasper had to act as the translator for the night, and Nora teased him, "If I hire you as a translator, how much per hour?"

"At least a hundred thousand dollars," Jasper replied before ordering their drinks.

Someone from the other end sneered: Damn capitalists!
