Chapter 427: Landing at Paris Airport
Chapter 427: Landing at Paris Airport
The sky in Paris was in a hazy state, the sun in the east had not fully appeared, and the tip of the morning glow could just be glimpsed.
Nora Northwood leaned her arm against the glass window, enjoying the scenery of Paris all the way.
Perhaps it was too early, as there were not many pedestrians on the streets, which made it somewhat lonely.
The car was very quiet, and Jasper Sinclair was reading meeting materials.
As they were about to reach their destination, Nora suddenly said, "When will VK’s enterprises be spread across the country too?"
Jasper turned to look at her, his gaze deep, "Then you have to work a little harder."
She felt a sense of melancholy.
Nora thought she had already put in a hundred times more effort, and to work even harder... might be a bit difficult.
Soon, the car drove into the hotel parking lot.
"Boss, would you like to reserve breakfast for you and your wife?"
"Didn’t we just have airplane food?" Nora mumbled.
"It was terrible."
The group first went to the hotel lobby to check in, and by the time they got their room key, it was just past six o’clock.
The curtains in the suite were open, and the sky was a bright orange-red as if it had fallen into a fairyland.
Jasper called out for them to go downstairs for breakfast, and Nora rummaged through her suitcase, responding in a calm voice, "Give me fifteen minutes."
"Alright, I’ll wait for you in the living room, call me if you need anything."
Jasper didn’t ask what she was doing and went straight to the small sofa to wait.
After that, Nora went to the bathroom to freshen up, her cheeks a bit oily.
She carried a small makeup bag, applied a light touch of powder in front of the makeup mirror, then changed into a linen French dress. The vintage sandy texture enhanced her excellent temperament, exuding a lazy elegance.
The milky white lines hung gracefully around her slender neck, evoking endless imagination.
This dress had a very fitting name, "Radiance and Jade Dew," which perfectly matched the morning’s glow.
The inspection team was scheduled to leave at two in the afternoon, meaning she had nearly eight hours to herself before then.
The last time she went to Rastelburg, she didn’t have the chance to fully enjoy the scenery, so she certainly couldn’t miss out on Paris this time.
"Jasper, let’s go!"
She walked with a light step into the living room, where the man sat with his legs crossed, reading the morning newspaper.
Hearing her voice, his back straightened, "Why did you change your clothes? Mornings in Paris are a bit chilly."
"For beauty’s sake."
Nora smiled charmingly, looking utterly captivating.
"Let’s go, my beautiful lady, it’s an honor to have dinner with you."
She stepped forward to link her arm with Jasper’s and they walked out together.
Waiting at the door, Louis Hayes marveled at how quickly their wife changed outfits and couldn’t help but glance a few more times.
Just a few seconds more than usual, but Jasper shot him a warning look.
Louis immediately lowered his head, not daring to look around anymore, and only stared at the tips of his shoes.
"Ding—"
The elevator stopped at the second basement level parking lot, and Nora asked excitedly, "What are we having?"
"A French breakfast."
It was still too early, and there weren’t many restaurants open at this hour, but this was already the best choice after Louis’s selection from more than a dozen.
Though not accustomed to the taste of French cuisine, Nora nodded in agreement, following the principle of ’When in Rome, do as the Romans do.’
On the street, a few silhouettes already appeared, and she noticed that every pedestrian’s neck was wrapped in a scarf, looking very fashionable.
