Chapter 419: Discovering the Problem
Chapter 419: Discovering the Problem
"Nora, you’re here." Lily was the first to spot Nora’s figure, quickly waving her over.
In this kind of setting, the real boss of the brand must be present.
Nora asked, "Was there traffic on the road? I was delayed a bit. Are there any partners here consulting now?"
"A few bosses came by just now, learned a bit, but didn’t go in-depth. I suppose they don’t feel reassured if the boss isn’t around."
"It’s my fault." Nora held onto her backpack strap, feeling somewhat guilty inside.
Lily noticed her low spirits and quickly comforted her, saying, "They weren’t particularly big-time bosses. If they’re interested, they’ll come back."
In the next hour, people came to consult one after another, but when it came to discussing prices, everyone stopped short.
VK has transitioned to a mid-to-high-end brand, with prices more than doubling from before, and even the packaging has become much more elegant.
Some bosses think they are a startup brand and not worth the high prices, shaking their heads one after another.
As the morning was already half over, some people started to get anxious, and Lily quietly pulled Nora into a corner where there was no one.
She asked, "Nora, everyone thinks our pricing is too high. Should we make some slight adjustments?"
To be honest, Nora was also hesitating.
Not far away, Megan noticed them whispering and came over too, "Feeling uncomfortable because you haven’t landed a single deal?"
As a stalwart in The Perfumery Circle, she could see through their thoughts with just one glance.
Nora articulated her analysis, "From the overall exhibition perspective, our position is undoubtedly the best spot. But it’s been two hours since the start, and not a single deal has been made. I think this isn’t the result we wanted after meticulously preparing for half a month."
By the end of her words, she was getting a headache.
If today’s exhibition yields no harvest, it means half a month’s efforts from the entire VK team would go down the drain.
"It’s only just begun, Nora. You can’t rush the process. Let’s have a small meeting at noon, and decide the afternoon’s strategy."
Megan reassured Nora, and a few others scattered from the corner.
The situation remained unchanged; once in a while, people would come to inquire but no one finalized any deals.
Everyone’s spirits started to dwindle slowly until lunchtime when Jasper Sinclair appeared at the exhibition.
At that moment, Nora was conversing with an interested businessman, entirely unaware of the man’s arrival.
Someone eventually reminded her, "Mr. Sinclair has arranged lunch for everyone."
Nora snapped back to reality, but only took one glance before diving back into her work.
It wasn’t until the businessman left that she walked over in small steps to Jasper, "Why did you come over?"
Despite the big argument they had before going out, Jasper’s expression looked as if nothing had happened.
Nora couldn’t manage that!
Jasper pressed his lips together, withdrew his left foot a few centimeters, turned his body to the side, and revealed the small dining cart behind him, "But since you don’t eat properly at noon, I’m here to bring you lunch."
Though under his name, everyone would attribute this good deed to Nora, invisibly playing a good person card for her.
"Thank you."
Nora’s attitude was indifferent, with many words lingering on her tongue, which she ultimately didn’t speak.
Jasper watched her slender shoulders and an involuntary sense of impotence welled up inside him.
