Chapter 415: Exhibition
Chapter 415: Exhibition
The second official meeting of VK.
Nora Northwood sat elegantly at the head of the table in her business suit, her gaze upon her team was gentle, yet mixed with a smile.
Once everyone was ready, she softly parted her lips, "Let’s start with the design department reporting their work schedule for the month."
As her voice faded, Megan Underwood, the head of the design department, began her report: "This month we need to design seven new products, the new series is expected to be completed by the third week. We’ll contact the factory for official bulk orders and also change the packaging to take a mid-to-high-end route."
Subsequently, everyone reported in turn, with a bit of an assembly line feel.
When it was Yvonne Winslow’s turn, she brought a different piece of news to the group.
"There’s a city fragrance exhibition in the middle of the month, organized by the government and several enterprises. It doesn’t focus on brand value, only brand quality, and is intended as a showcase opportunity for industry newcomers, which fits VK’s current development stage perfectly."
With her words spoken, everyone had a clearer idea.
Nora was aware that perhaps this exhibition might be VK’s breakthrough.
However, she did not immediately respond, instead, she frowned as she stared at the computer screen.
Fifteen days felt too rushed.
If it were in the past, they could have surely designed standout products, but with the new series based on the 24 Solar Terms about to debut, and the company’s opening ceremony not yet held, participating in the exhibition would unavoidably increase everyone’s workload, and she didn’t want that.
Megan detected her difficult situation and chose to step up and resolve the issue: "Leave the new series to the design department. You prepare for the exhibition. We’re all in this together, VK’s future is worth us putting in an extra month’s work. I believe you can shine brilliantly at the exhibition."
Lily Sloan was the second to echo, "I’ve already planned to move my home to the company. With our office’s great decor, I’m reluctant to go back home."
Instantly, the atmosphere relaxed again.
Nora informed Yvonne, "You can submit VK’s materials now, and the exhibition’s product will be named ’Maridia Rose.’"
"Okay, it will be submitted within three working days."
Then, everyone exchanged knowing smiles.
To prepare for this exhibition, Nora worked overtime at the company until nine p.m. before heading back to the villa.
"Madam, you’re back."
Uncle Kevin greeted her at the entrance, respectfully exchanged pleasantries, then stepped aside.
Nora, fatigued, only wanted to quickly retreat to her bedroom to rest, her gaze not lingering on Uncle Kevin’s face too long. Otherwise, she might have noticed his unsaid words.
In the end, Uncle Kevin watched her departing figure and sighed, shaking his head.
As Nora reached the staircase corner, she caught a faint aroma.
At this distance, an ordinary person would not detect it, yet her sense of smell was exceptionally sharp, allowing her to notice even the slightest change in the air’s scent.
Nora followed the aroma towards the kitchen and dining area, discovering several dishes she favored laid out on the dining table.
Upon closer inspection, the oil had solidified into a creamy white, indicating they’d been there for quite some time.
Suddenly, as if remembering something, she quickly retrieved her phone from her crossbody bag.
On the screen, a message from Jasper Sinclair lay still: "I made the dishes you like, waiting for your return."
She had seen the message but was engrossed in discussing the new product launch with Megan and hence forgot to reply.
Thinking of this, Nora regretfully patted her forehead, deciding to check the bedroom first to see what Jasper was doing.
