Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 373: Shopping

Chapter 373: Shopping

Nora Northwood started throwing clothes onto herself, grabbing whatever was closest without looking closely, hurriedly pulling it over her head.

She felt embarrassed making someone wait outside too long, so she scrambled out of bed to open the door.

She called out in as calm a tone as possible, "Good morning." To be honest, she wasn’t quite ready to be taken care of by strangers.

Bailey smiled brightly and presented her best self, "Good morning, madam. The chairman specifically instructed before the meeting that your health is fragile and asked me to take good care of you."

Nora looked at her, thinking she was even more formal than yesterday.

No one knew Bailey had written thousands of words of reflection for her half-hour tardiness.

She continued, "Madam, these are the clothes prepared for you. You can change in the bedroom, and I’ll wait outside for you."

At the end of her words, Bailey took out a paper bag. Nora glanced at the logo and knew the brand’s clothes were expensive, she usually couldn’t afford them.

She hesitated for half a second but still took the bag from Bailey’s hand, "Please wait here for fifteen minutes."

"I have the whole day for you, we can take our time," Bailey’s tone was genuinely earnest, leaving no room for complaint.

When Nora appeared before Bailey again, she was already dressed and ready.

The black lambskin jacket outlined her perfect figure as if tailor-made for her.

"Bailey, I... Jasper, why are you back?"

Outside the bedroom, besides the cautious Bailey, there was the presence of another man.

Jasper Sinclair, hearing the voice, slightly raised his eyes and strode towards Nora. "I have a one-and-a-half-hour break at noon, came back to check on you, are you still having a fever?"

As he spoke, he naturally touched Nora’s skin, feeling the warmth within normal body temperature.

Next to him, Bailey sat uneasily, unsure whether to keep watching or to turn her head away.

Was this something she could see?

The young master spoke, flicking his right hand, and instructed, "Bring lunch in, she’s not used to French cuisine, prepare something light."

"Understood."

Bailey clung to the wall like someone escaping, tightly closing the door behind her as she left.

Without outsiders watching, Nora visibly relaxed and asked, "Have you eaten lunch?"

Had it not been for seeing Jasper, she wouldn’t have realized she had slept for nearly ten hours.

"No, I wanted to eat with you, I feared you’d feel uncomfortable alone."

"Okay."

Jasper saw her obedient demeanor, and his lips curled up unconsciously; even with no makeup, her features were lively and imbued with a bit of spirit.

"Bailey prepared clothes that suit you well, I haven’t seen you wear this style before."

"Really? I still think it feels a bit strange!" Nora glanced down again after the compliment, indeed finding the lambskin jacket more pleasing.

Her domestic wardrobe mostly held pastel colors like teal, fog blue, and light apricot.

In general, she had few dark-colored clothes, with a few black professional outfits for specific occasions.

"Seems we might consider giving her a raise. Want to go shopping this afternoon? My schedule ends around eight, so I probably can’t have dinner with you."
