Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 349: Investigation

Chapter 349: Investigation

After climbing out of bed, Jasper Sinclair’s lips curled into a helpless smile; he knew that Nora Northwood was silently protesting against him again.

Since getting married, Jasper Sinclair had become familiar with the routine of arguments.

Although this time was somewhat special, he still believed that the two of them wouldn’t drift apart because of it.

Little did he know, an even bigger challenge lay ahead...

The cashmere blanket was lifted and then laid back down flat on the soft bed, with an unfamiliar fragrance once again filling Jasper Sinclair’s senses.

He’s smelled many fragrances from VK, each with its unique charm, but this particular scent felt unfamiliar yet deeply affecting.

After immersing himself for half a minute, Jasper Sinclair went to the dressing room to pick out a suit.

The shirt fit snugly against his skin, the neckline gently tightened, and the clean and fresh scent of laundry detergent wafted into his nose, replacing yesterday’s Magnolia.

The act of dressing was fluid, one arm slipping into the sleeve followed by the other, elegant enough to be pleasing to the eye.

The spacious bedroom had an excessive quietness.

"Sir, breakfast is prepared downstairs," the butler reminded him, perfectly on time.

"Has Madam already left?"

"Yes, the driver has been arranged to take Madam to work."

"I’ll be going abroad next week; take good care of Madam."

The route ended at a dining area that was more exquisite than a western restaurant.

The sunlight enveloped Jasper Sinclair entirely, melting away some of the Iceland-like chill.

He sat alone at the dining table, meticulously wiping his hands with a warm towel before starting to enjoy breakfast.

After a night of continuous rain, the sky was clear and the air was filled with the scent of dampness everywhere.

That evening.

Unexpectedly, Nora Northwood didn’t return to the manor but went to Southwood Court instead.

Jasper Sinclair had scheduled four business meetings today, fully occupied, and only learned about this while on his way back to the manor, reviewing Peach Bell’s information.

The 11-inch electronic screen densely recorded the history of Peach Bell.

She was an abandoned baby adopted by the Sinclair Family, raised by them until she was ten, which was the year the main house had an incident, and then she was sent away, disappearing without a trace.

Someone deliberately erased the events during that period, seemingly to protect Peach Bell.

Now, Jasper Sinclair could confirm one thing: this little girl held no malice toward him.

However, she had been so well protected her entire life that she was as pure as a blank sheet of paper, knowing nothing.

As for those who lived with her in the castle, they could no longer be found.

At the moment he closed his computer, the vehicle smoothly entered the parking lot.

At the elevator entrance, a petite figure paced back and forth, occasionally kicking a pebble on the ground out of boredom.

Until she saw the person she was waiting for, she darted over, "Jasper Sinclair, why are you coming home so late?"

The next second, a dusty handprint appeared on the man’s tall and straight trousers.

Jasper Sinclair glanced at Uncle Kevin, and Uncle Kevin explained, "Miss Peach Bell said she wanted to wait for you here to come home."

Knowing Peach Bell’s playful nature, Jasper didn’t blame Uncle Kevin.

They entered the elevator, the parking lot scene gradually disappearing behind the steadily closing metal door.

Then, the electronic screen smaller than a palm displayed numbers with a glowing red light, ascending to the second floor.

Jasper Sinclair stepped out of the elevator, with Peach Bell following closely behind.
