Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 336: Trending Again

Chapter 336: Trending Again

When the plane took off, Nora Northwood spent a few minutes scrolling through Weibo to pass the time.

Unexpectedly, she saw her name on the trending list again.

This time, the keywords weren’t in a particularly prominent position, ranking past number fifteen.

Nora’s full fingertips lightly tapped the screen, loading an image of her from a seminar.

At first glance, it looked alright.

Scrolling down, someone mentioned Finnian Lawrence’s name, which was intriguing.

Some photos were shot at awkward angles, making it seem like the two were very close, almost cheek-to-cheek.

Feeling annoyed, Nora put her phone away, but it slipped out of her bag again.

The phone fell rapidly, and before it touched the ground, it was caught by a broad hand.

"Why does it seem like you’re upset?" Jasper Sinclair’s ability to read people had improved.

Nora answered indirectly, tentatively looking at him, "I’m going to tell you something, promise you won’t get mad."

"Go ahead."

Jasper’s voice was gentle as he returned her phone.

"Finnian Lawrence and I ended up on the trending list together." She hesitantly said.

"Oh."

The one-word answer, its tone drawn out subtly by Jasper, carried a mysterious air.

"What does ’oh’ mean? Are you angry or not? You saw it; the relationship between him and me is like that of a teacher and student. He can teach me a lot that isn’t in books, and I have no other intentions towards him."

Ultimately, Nora didn’t want any gaps to form between them because of an outsider.

Jasper remained silent, so she continued to look at him woodenly.

Until the boarding announcement came over the speakers, Nora turned her gaze away, "Let’s board first, I’ll explain more on the plane."

"Let’s see how well you explain," Jasper’s tone seemed like paper soaking in water, softening.

The two of them got up one after the other and headed toward the business class.

Nora felt a strange agitation in her heart, compelled to confront it.

"Since I’m being honest with you, it means there’s nothing between us."

"I know."

Though Jasper was a bit jealous of their interaction, he understood there wouldn’t be anything inappropriate between them.

First, he trusted Nora’s character.

Secondly, he trusted the Lawrence Family’s upbringing and Young Mr. Lawrence’s integrity not to bring shame to the family.

Still, his attitude left Nora uncertain.

She shifted her body to the right, her soft hand took hold of two of his fingers, feeling the lines in his palm.

"Jasper, don’t be like this."

Honestly, Jasper wasn’t reserved at all; Nora merely held his hand, and his expression fell apart.

"Let me see your phone," he speculated that Nora’s shaky grip was due to something unpleasant she saw.

Sure enough, there was a rather thought-provoking article.

The article didn’t just mention the two of them but included other perfumers as well.

Actually, there was nothing particularly inappropriate, just a few photos with somewhat odd angles.

Jasper asked, "Do you think this article and the photos were randomly published or intentionally done?"

Upon hearing this, Nora’s expression dimmed.

Her pupils darkened, "I guess no one’s heart could be so malicious."

Jasper made a very slight nod toward her.
