Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 327: Escape

Chapter 327: Escape

Zane Lockwood looked awkward; at an age nearly buried in the ground, he still had to bow and apologize to young people. This was the disparity between the Lockwood Family and the Sinclair Family.

Just before the car door closed, he put in what he had brought, "A token of apology, I hope President Sinclair can accept it."

As his words finished, the car exhaust began to emanate.

The brand new Mercedes SUV disappeared from Zane Lockwood’s view, and he let out a heavy sigh.

In the empty parking lot, the echo seemed to stretch infinitely.

What Zane Lockwood didn’t know was that his beloved daughter was in her room, smashing things.

Anything she could get her hands on was thrown to the ground, the room was a complete mess.

The servant stood at the door, pleading earnestly, "Miss, please don’t make it difficult for us. We all dare not defy the master’s arrangements."

Various expensive jewelry pieces lay scattered on the floor, just looking at them could make one feel distressed.

Seeing that this approach was ineffective, Jade Lockwood had to find another way.

She stuffed the few bank cards in her wallet into her pocket, ready to sneak out.

She fiddled at the window for a while and removed the window screen from the room.

With a light leap, she jumped to the outside.

Just as she ran out of the Lockwood Family’s gate, Zane Lockwood returned.

"Where are you running off to, Jade Lockwood?" Zane shouted, looking at her silhouette growing more distant.

"Since you don’t care about me, don’t blame me for not acknowledging you." After saying this, Jade Lockwood dashed off.

Zane Lockwood couldn’t catch up with her, and could only watch her leave from right under his nose.

Jade Lockwood went to a regularly frequented hotel, checked in, and when she was swiping her card, the staff informed her, "Your bank card is frozen."

"How is that possible? Are you sure it’s not an operational error on your part?" She couldn’t believe it.

The staff tried several times in front of her, and the result was always unsuccessful.

"Try another card."

Jade Lockwood tried all the cards she had brought from home, none worked.

"That old geezer actually froze my bank cards!" Jade Lockwood stomped her feet in anger.

She left in frustration, looking for another place to go.

Leaving her no choice, she used the only cash in her wallet to book a youth hostel.

When had Jade Lockwood ever stayed in such a poor place, she blamed all of it on Nora Northwood.

The seeds of resentment grew wildly, almost consuming her entirely. She started planning how to ruin Nora Northwood’s reputation.

Only then could she assuage the hatred in her heart.

...

Nora Northwood, on her way to work, sneezed several times in a row, suspecting she might have caught a cold.

She entered VK an hour later than the usual clocking-in time.

However, it didn’t affect a thing.

While sorting the latest formula data, she listened to Yvonne Winslow reporting the studio’s recent situation.

Then, she interrupted and said, "The second phase of shooting can start in mid-month."

Nora Northwood’s endorsement for VK received an excellent response, convincing her that this path could be long-term.

After the work liaison ended, Nora was about to close her notebook when the "beep-beep" message alert sounded. She reopened the WeChat dialogue box and it was Finnian Lawrence.

The content was an email-form invitation, she clicked the link, then hovered the mouse over the word "Accept," replying, "Available, accepted."

"See you next week."

"Thank you, Finnian."

"It’s nothing."
