Favorite of the Beast-world: I Got Rich Through Farming

Chapter 115 - 99: So Useless

Chapter 115 - 99: So Useless

An Jin buried her face in his chest, her cheeks flushed crimson. "Be gentler..." she pleaded, her voice tight with discomfort.

Her eyes darted nervously to the wall. Ling Hong and Xi’s room was right next door. ’It would be so embarrassing if we woke them up.’

But a dark look swirled in Mi Yin’s eyes; he deliberately tried to make her cry out louder. Humiliated and furious, An Jin bit his muscular arm several times, trying to break free.

"...Don’t move," he rasped, his breath hot against her neck.

An Jin was in agony. She truly didn’t dare to move—not out of obedience, but because she could feel the serpent’s barbs.

As Wandering Beasts, most Snake Beasts mated with females by force. Over millennia of evolution, they had developed barbs to prevent a female from escaping, ensuring the act was completed.

In the darkness, the man’s panting subsided slightly. The more she struggled, the more it drove him mad with the need to possess her, yet he held back. He didn’t want to hurt her.

By the time the first light of dawn broke through the darkness, Mi Yin had worn An Jin out. Only then did he finally release her, transforming into his snake form and easily coiling his body around her.

He watched the female sleep, her eyes shut tight and her breathing even. Her damp, ink-black hair and small, flushed face—every detail captivated him utterly.

’If I wear her out,’ he thought, ’she won’t have the energy to look for other males.’

As a Wandering Beast—a type generally disliked by females—Mi Yin was a mix of pride and insecurity. But when he was with An Jin, all that pride vanished, leaving only profound self-doubt.

He could only mask this insecurity with a fiercer, more domineering facade.

’If she really takes another partner, or accepts that Wolf Beast, she’ll definitely stop liking me, a Snake Beast.’

This was the only way Mi Yin knew to confirm her feelings for him, to make his presence known, and to fill the emotional void in his heart.

Based on past experience, Mi Yin predicted she would sleep until the afternoon. As the sky began to lighten, he carried her to the bed, carefully tucked her in, and prepared to leave.

The moment he opened the door, he saw the Wolf Beast pacing in the hall. Mi Yin sneered, swishing his snake tail as he slithered forward to meet him, his gaze fixed straight ahead.

The Silver Wolf’s eyes were bloodshot as he stared intently at the approaching Snake Beast. The air between them crackled with hostility.

He had been awakened by the noises during the night. ’How dare that beast treat An Jin so crudely! Just as I’d expect from a Wandering Beast—he has no idea how to cherish a female!’

The more Ling Hong thought about it, the angrier he became. He was a Sixth Rank Beastman now; he no longer had to act subservient as he had before. He could finally have a real, all-out fight!

"ROAR!" His fighting spirit fueled by fury, the Silver Wolf crouched low and sprang, its jaws gaping as it lunged to tear and bite at the snake’s tail.

As a Wolf Beast, his bite force and fighting prowess were already formidable, but now they were terrifying. He could take down a wild beast in a single bite.

But the scales on the python’s tail were like an armor of stone and steel. Ling Hong’s teeth only managed to leave a few shallow marks, failing to even draw a drop of blood. He was horrified. ’This level of defense... it’s beyond what a normal Sixth Rank Beastman should have, isn’t it?’

’Even if he isn’t Seventh Rank, he must be on the verge of a breakthrough.’

In the split second that Ling Hong was stunned, Mi Yin seized his chance. He fully transformed into a giant python, instantly ensnaring the Silver Wolf in his thick coils. His sharp fangs sank into the Silver Wolf’s flank.

Fresh blood soaked its silvery-white fur.

"HISS HISS~" *So this is your strength now? Pathetic.*

Mi Yin had no intention of landing a killing blow; he hadn’t even used his venom. Like a victor tossing aside garbage, he threw the injured Silver Wolf to the ground. His upper body shifted back into that of a demonically handsome man, and he sneered, "I purposely waited for you to heal. I wanted to test the strength of a Sixth Rank Wolf Beast. I never thought you’d be so useless."

The Silver Wolf glared at him and snorted in fury, but ultimately lowered his head in defeat. He lay on the ground, silently licking his wounds.

He didn’t want An Jin to wake up and see him in such a pathetic state.

Xi was awakened by the commotion. When he opened his door, he was nearly scared to death.

Seeing the earth-shattering battle between the two, he hid off to the side, keeping his distance. A mere Third Rank Beastman like him couldn’t risk getting caught in the crossfire.

"HISS HISS~"

Mi Yin shot Xi a cold glance.

A chill ran down the Little Merfolk’s spine, and he froze in the doorway, not daring to move. Fortunately, Mi Yin only swept a dismissive glance over him before swishing his tail and hurrying out the door.

An Jin woke in the evening and tiredly rubbed her eyes. Her mind felt empty as she stared at the ceiling for a long moment. Finally coming back to her senses, she slowly climbed out of bed and opened the door.

The first thing she saw was that the main hall was in complete disarray.

"..." She froze for a second, then her gaze shifted, and she saw Ling Hong and Xi cleaning the room.

Mi Yin, however, was nowhere to be seen.

She stepped out to help them. "What happe—" She cut herself off when she saw Ling Hong’s injuries—two bloody, unhealed gashes on his flank.

In that instant, she understood most of what had happened.

’That Mi Yin...!’

’Unbelievable.’

An Jin was so angry she wanted to scream. ’Is he so bored he has nothing better to do? Why is he bullying Ling Hong again?!’

An Jin set the stone basin back in its place and walked over to the dejected Ling Hong. "Let me clean those wounds for you," she said worriedly, looking at his injuries. "And bandage them, or they might get infected."

"There’s no need."

Ling Hong shook his head, rejecting her kind offer. He listlessly resumed picking up the shattered stone bowls from the floor. "These wounds will heal on their own. Herbs are precious; they should be saved for tribesmen who truly need them."

For a Beastman, being injured by a rival in a fight over a female was a deeply humiliating experience. He couldn’t accept her concern with a clear conscience.

Ling Hong’s reticent nature meant he would endure it in silence, but Xi couldn’t stomach the injustice.

The look that Snake Beast had given him was icy and bloodthirsty. A lingering fear still gripped Xi’s heart. ’He clearly wanted to swat me dead with his tail.’

’It’s a good thing that Snake Beast looked down on me for being a mere Third Rank Beastman. Otherwise, he would have made an example of me.’
