Favorite of the Beast-world: I Got Rich Through Farming

Chapter 113 - 99: So Useless

Chapter 113 - 99: So Useless

An Jin buried her face in his chest, her cheeks flushed crimson. "Be gentle..." she murmured uncomfortably.

Out of the corner of her eye, she nervously glanced at the wall. Ling Hong and Xi’s room was right next door. It would be mortifying if they woke them up in the middle of the night.

However, a dark glint appeared in Mi Yin’s eyes; he deliberately wanted her to be louder. Humiliated and angry, An Jin bit his firm arm a few times, trying to get away from him.

"...Don’t move," he said, his voice strained as he rested his head against her neck.

An Jin was also extremely uncomfortable. She really didn’t dare to move—not because she was being obedient, but because she could feel the snake’s barbs.

As Wandering Beasts, most snakes forced themselves on females. Through millennia of evolution, they had developed barbs to prevent females from escaping, ensuring they could complete the mating process by force.

In the darkness, the man’s panting subsided a little. The more she struggled, the more it drove him mad with the desire to possess her, but he didn’t want to do that. It would hurt her.

When the first light of dawn broke through the night, Mi Yin, having tired An Jin out, finally released her. He transformed into his snake form and easily coiled his body around her.

Watching the female sleep soundly with her eyes shut tight, her damp, dark hair and small, flushed face—every detail of her drove him wild with fascination.

’If I tire her out, she won’t have the energy to look for other males.’

As a Wandering Beast disliked by females, Mi Yin was both proud and insecure. But when faced with An Jin, all that remained was an extreme sense of inferiority.

He could only hide this insecurity behind a fiercer, more domineering facade.

’If she really took another partner, or if she accepted that Wolf Beast, she would definitely stop liking him, a Snake Beast.’

Mi Yin could only use this method to confirm her feelings, to heighten his presence in her life, and to fill the emotional void in his heart.

Based on past experience, Mi Yin predicted she would sleep until the afternoon. As the sky began to brighten, he carried her to the bed, carefully tucked her in, and prepared to go out.

The moment he opened the door, he saw the Wolf Beast pacing in the main hall. He sneered and, with a sway of his snake tail, went to meet him without a sideways glance.

The Silver Wolf’s eyes were bloodshot as he stared intently at the approaching Snake Beast. The tension between them was palpable, ready to snap at any moment.

He had been woken up in the middle of the night by the sounds. ’How dare that Snake Beast treat An Jin so crudely! As expected of a Wandering Beast—he has no idea how to cherish a female!’

The more Ling Hong thought about it, the angrier he became. He was a Sixth Rank Beastman now; he no longer had to cower and submit as before. He could finally fight him without holding back!

ROAR! Fueled by a rage that ignited his will to fight, the Silver Wolf lowered his body and leaped, lunging to kill and tear at the snake’s tail with his massive jaws.

As a Wolf Beast, his bite force and combat strength were already formidable, and now they were terrifying. He could take down a wild beast in a single bite.

But the scales on the python’s tail were like armor of metal and stone. His bite merely left a few teeth marks, not even drawing a single drop of blood. Ling Hong was utterly horrified. ’This level of defense isn’t something an ordinary Sixth Rank Beastman should possess, is it?’

Even if he wasn’t Seventh Rank yet, he was probably on the verge of a breakthrough.

In the brief instant Ling Hong was stunned, Mi Yin seized the opportunity. His entire body transformed into a giant python, and in a flash, he ensnared the Silver Wolf in his thick tail. His sharp fangs instantly pierced the Silver Wolf’s side.

Blood soaked its silvery-white fur.

HISS~ ’So this is your strength now? Utterly useless.’

Mi Yin hadn’t intended to kill him; he didn’t even use his venom. With the air of a victor, he tossed the injured Silver Wolf to the ground like trash. His upper body transformed back into that of a bewitchingly handsome man, and he mocked him without reservation, "I deliberately waited for your injuries to heal. I was looking forward to testing the strength of a Sixth Rank Wolf Beast, but I didn’t expect you to be so useless."

The Silver Wolf glared at him, snorting angrily, but in the end, he dejectedly lowered his head. He lay on the ground, silently licking his wounds and the blood from his fur.

’He didn’t want Ren Anjin to wake up and see him in such a pathetic state.’

Xi was woken by the commotion. When he opened his door, he was nearly scared to death.

Seeing the two of them fighting an earth-shattering battle, he hid far off to the side. As a mere Third Rank Beastman, he couldn’t risk getting caught in the crossfire.

HISS~

Mi Yin shot Xi a cold glance.

The Little Merfolk froze in the doorway, a chill running through his body, not daring to move a muscle. Fortunately, Mi Yin only gave him a passing glance before swaying his snake tail and hurrying out the door.

...

An Jin woke up in the evening, rubbing her tired eyes. Her mind was a blank slate as she stared at the empty ceiling for a long while before finally coming to her senses. She slowly climbed out of bed and opened the door.

The main hall that greeted her was in complete disarray.

"..." She froze for a moment, her eyes darting around. She saw Ling Hong and Xi cleaning up the room.

Mi Yin, however, was nowhere to be seen.

She went out to help them clean. "What happ—" Before she could finish, she saw Ling Hong’s injuries, including two gashes on his side that hadn’t yet healed.

She immediately understood most of what had happened.

’That Mi Yin...!’

’Honestly.’

An Jin was so angry she wanted to curse. ’Was he so bored at home that he had to start bullying Ling Hong again?!’

An Jin put the stone basin back in its place, then walked over to the dejected Ling Hong. Looking at his wounds with concern, she said, "Let me treat your wounds and bandage them. Otherwise, they might get infected."

"There’s no need."

Ling Hong shook his head, rejecting her kind offer. He listlessly continued to pick up the shattered stone bowls from the floor. "These wounds will heal on their own. Herbs are precious; save them for the tribesmen who need them."

For a Beastman, being injured by a rival in a fight over a female was a humiliating experience. He couldn’t accept the female’s concern with a clear conscience.

Ling Hong, with his quiet and stoic nature, could endure it, but Xi couldn’t stand the injustice.

The look that Snake Beast had given him was icy and bloodthirsty. A lingering fear still gripped Xi’s heart; it was clear the snake had wanted to swat him dead with his tail.

Thankfully, the Snake Beast had looked down on him for being just a Third Rank Beastman. Otherwise, he would have made an example out of him long ago.
