Extreme Almightiest Young Master

Chapter 882: Father, Hope You’re Well

Chapter 882: Father, Hope You’re Well

"A moment after opening this door, don’t go in first," Ghostface said briefly. He was very familiar with this place. Only beyond this door lay the true core of the military base. His subordinates, though formidable, stood no chance against those within. The rest could be left to him. He had been waiting for this day for a long time.

"Open the door." Ghostface uttered the command again, and ’Glasses’ on the other end of the communicator immediately followed his order, controlling the central computer to unlock the door.

"Squeak, groan..."

The steel door, made of one-meter-thick special steel, slowly swung open under machine control. Once the door was opened, a vast space filled with many scientists in white lab coats, busily working, came into view. Alongside one wall, numerous canister-like devices were stacked, and the entire hall was crammed with dense experimental setups and electrical equipment. Through the glass walls of the several independent rooms at the back, one could clearly see people engrossed in some bizarre activities.

The person in charge here was an old man, tall and thin, his hair and beard long since turned white. Despite his age, the old man appeared quite spirited, not at all like someone advanced in years. People here were used to calling him ’The Father,’ though no one knew his real name. He was not an actual priest but was so nicknamed because everything here had been created under his direction. He was the creator of this place.

The instant the door opened, The Father instantly turned his head in this direction, as this was extremely unusual. There was a protocol for opening the door; it occurred once a month to resupply various materials and to transport out finished products. It had only been about half a month since it was last opened. Confused as to why the door had suddenly opened, he stared wide-eyed in shock upon seeing the unmasked person enter—Yang Shu!

"Not good!"

The Father’s instinct was immediate: not good. Without time to think further, he pressed a button on the console before him, hoping to release the four guards. He knew that if Yang Shu had managed to come here, it was assuredly for revenge. Considering no alarm had yet sounded from the soldiers outside, they were undoubtedly dead by now, leaving only these four guards to rely on. If they too were inadequate, today would pose real trouble.

He quickly hit the alarm in the hall, and immediately, the warning blared through the vast space. Once that was done, without a second thought, he rushed into a lab behind him and pressed a button on the wall, sealing the room shut. Looking out at Yang Shu, his heart was filled with regret. Why had he not foreseen this...?

Upon hearing the roaring alarm, numerous scientists in the hall stood frozen. But they quickly realized what was happening and, following the emergency protocol, dashed into their respective labs behind them. They knew this was to prevent accidents within the base, and clearly, those labs were the safest places.

Meanwhile, Yang Shu, formerly masked as Ghostface, watched the chaos in the hall with indifference. There was no sign of intention to stop people from their frantic efforts. To him, everyone inside had only one fate: death. Therefore, their attempts to hide were futile.

"Thwack!"

"Thwack!"

"Thwack!"

"Thwack!"

Just then, the sound of air being released four times came as several of the canister devices opened, and four tall, muscular figures emerged. These were the bioengineered guards, the laboratory’s most successful creations, responsible for its security. Usually dormant in their cultivation tanks, they were only activated in response to danger.

The moment the bioengineered guards stepped out, they quickly regained consciousness. Alarmed by the siren, they all knew that danger had infiltrated the lab—and the target was the man standing at the entrance. With that thought, the guards immediately charged at Yang Shu, their speed instantly reaching the extreme, like a sweeping whirlwind, unimaginably fast. Their punches approached before their bodies, bringing with them a thunderous roar, striking fiercely at Yang Shu with a force far exceeding what any normal person could conceive.

Ghostface glanced at the four bio-enhanced humans. He didn’t pay much attention to them. He was more than familiar with such bio-soldiers, having once been one of them. His body had been strengthened by drugs, with muscle and bone durability far surpassing that of ordinary people. To put it mildly, regular firearms could hardly penetrate their bodies.

That was the reason he did not let his dozen or so subordinates come in. Although those subordinates could take on AAA-class fighters, no AAA fighter specialized in body strengthening. His men were sufficient against regular people but evidently not enough against these four bio-enhanced humans. It wasn’t that his subordinates lacked strength; each had their own specialty. Unfortunately, these four bio-humans were the natural nemesis of his men, and there was no need to put them at risk unnecessarily.

Seeing the four advance towards him, a cold smile played on Yang Shu’s lips. His figure suddenly moved, swift as "Lightning," vanishing from before the bio-enhanced humans. It wasn’t that their abilities were lacking; their combined strength was already comparable to a fighter in the "Middle Stage" of AAA class. But Yang Shu’s power was far greater, surpassing theirs by no small margin!

"Bang, bang, bang, bang!"

Four loud crashes resounded. Before anyone could see how Yang Shu made his move, the four bio-enhanced humans were sent flying, each fiercely colliding with the walls and leaving behind four human-shaped indentations. Astoundingly, the bio-enhanced humans shook their heads, stood up as if nothing had happened, and charged at Yang Shu once again, continuing their attack.

Yang Shu watched this without much surprise. As he had expected, the bio-soldiers had indeed made considerable progress over the years. It seemed that the biochemical agents had achieved significant success, and his visit today was indeed timely.

After brief consideration, Yang Shu drew two three-edged spikes, each a finger-length, from his belt. These were prepared specifically for dealing with these invulnerable bio-enhanced humans. Only by killing these four could he gain complete control of the facility and do what he came to do.

Yang Shu’s figure flickered, and he seemed to transform into a streak of light, moving so fast it was almost invisible to the naked eye. The four bio-enhanced humans had no time to react before a streak of light flashed before their eyes, followed by a sharp pain. Next, they were lying on the ground with finger-thick holes in their chests, bleeding profusely, while the spikes in Yang Shu’s hands dripped with blood, testifying to their grim effectiveness.

This attack seemed simple, but it was not without complexity. The muscular strength of the four bio-enhanced humans far exceeded that of ordinary humans; even bullets could hardly penetrate their skin. The fact that Yang Shu could do this spoke to the sharpness of the spikes and, more importantly, to his strength, which had exceeded the limit of what the bio-enhanced humans could endure, allowing him to target the heart and deliver a fatal blow.

"Come in, and leave none behind!" After killing those men, Yang Shu spoke indifferently. With the bio-enhanced humans dead, the others could be left to his subordinates. His business was with the "priest" himself, to find what he sought. He had no need to concern himself with how his men killed; he just headed for the laboratory of the "priest," and upon seeing the steel door, he scoffed and threw a punch at it without a second thought.

"Clang!"

"Boom!"

The steel door was of excellent quality, made of a five-centimeter-thick plate of special steel. But against Yang Shu’s terrifying strength and bodily hardness, it could not serve its purpose and was penetrated with a single punch by him. Following that, he leisurely pushed the door open under the priest’s astonished gaze.

The priest’s eyes filled with disbelief as he realized the extent of Yang Shu’s strength; he had not imagined that Yang Shu could breach such a thick steel door. The strength was truly terrifying—something even his own bio-enhanced humans had not achieved yet...

When the priest saw Yang Shu enter the room, he knew he was not going to survive this day. Because of past events, Yang Shu would never let him off, and recognizing this, the priest prepared for death, seeing no point in resisting—not against a man like Yang Shu, an ordinary human with no chance of survival.

"Father, long time no see. You know why I’m here, don’t you?" Yang Shu looked at the priest and spoke lightly. He had planned for five years to come here, all to confront the priest.

"Sigh... Letting you escape back then was indeed my greatest mistake. Take my old bones if you want them," said the priest, his expression resigned, readying himself for death. He regretted not killing Yang Shu back then; if he had, all this would have been avoided.

"I didn’t come here just for you but also for those Biochemical Enhancers. The quality of those four bio-humans I just saw was not bad at all. What generation have you reached now?" Yang Shu shook his head. He hadn’t gone through all this trouble just to take the priest’s life—that was just a secondary objective. What he truly sought were the Biochemical Enhancers that had been used on him in the past; the priest’s life was merely an incidental matter.
