Extreme Almightiest Young Master

Chapter 322 Laying Plans Again

Chapter 322 Laying Plans Again

Just as Li Dongtian died, far across the ocean in M Country, Jack discovered Li Dongtian had already passed away because the watch Jack had given to Li Dongtian was no ordinary watch—it also functioned as a vital signs monitor and navigation locator. Originally meant only to monitor Li Dongtian’s whereabouts, Jack truly hadn’t expected the expert the boss talked about would really die in Africa. Filled with immense surprise, Jack immediately rushed into his boss McDowell’s office.

"Boss, boss! Something’s gone wrong!" Jack ran into boss McDowell’s office and saw the boss holding a glass of red wine, standing in front of a glass window deep in thought. However, now that the expert the boss had mentioned was in trouble, he had to tell him.

"What’s the panic about, what happened?" McDowell was very annoyed at being interrupted, but when he turned around and saw that it was Jack speaking to him, he felt very strange. Jack had been with him for several years and he had never seen him this flustered. What was going on?

"Boss, Mr. Li is in trouble," Jack immediately explained the situation to McDowell, unsure of how the boss would handle this news.

"Mr. Li, what could have happened to him? Wasn’t he sent to capture Chu Meng? Did Chu Meng run away again?" McDowell found Jack’s words even more puzzling. Mr. Li was an AA-level expert—how could he possibly run into trouble? The boss had especially brought him from the Li Family to hold the fort for him, telling McDowell that with Mr. Li around, he could rest assured that nothing was beyond his capability.

"Mr. Li, he... he’s dead!" Jack knew the boss wouldn’t believe that Li Dongtian was dead, although he himself could hardly believe it, but the facts were just that—Li Dongtian’s vital signs monitor showed that his pulse had stopped, meaning he really was dead.

"What, are you kidding me? How could Mr. Li possibly die! Don’t spout nonsense!" McDowell couldn’t believe Jack’s words that Li Dongtian was dead. Such an expert as Li Dongtian, how could he possibly have died? That was simply impossible!

"It’s true, I gave him one of my watches before he left, and I told him he absolutely couldn’t take it off. But just now, the signal from the watch came back, Mr. Li really died!" Jack immediately reported the details to his boss. Now, it was time for the boss to come up with a plan for how to deal with Mr. Li’s situation.

"What! How... how is that possible!" After hearing Jack’s words, McDowell finally believed that Li Dongtian was truly dead, because Jack’s watch was specially made by their espionage department, a watch that combined satellite positioning with a vital signs monitor, and its robustness was beyond imagination—it was impossible to destroy. Just that watch alone was worth hundreds of thousands of US dollars. If what Jack said was true, then Li Dongtian was indeed dead.

My God! Li Dongtian was an AA-level expert. The boss had said that there were few people who could match Li Dongtian, and if Li Dongtian were to unleash his full potential, even AAA-level individuals could be killed. He could virtually roam unchallenged in the secular world, so how could he possibly die? Now there was trouble; how on earth was he going to explain this to the boss...

However, the most urgent matter right now was to capture Chu Meng. Otherwise, if Chu Meng managed to escape somewhere and make a comeback, he would definitely be implicated. So to use a Chinese saying, they must "eliminate the roots when cutting the grass." With this in mind, McDowell immediately flipped open his phone directory, searching for someone in Kenya who might be able to handle the situation. It didn’t take long before he found a Kenyan General named Karo, and without any delay, he dialed the number.

"General Karo? This is McDowell," McDowell greeted in English. General Karo was one of the seven Generals of Kenya, and McDowell only hoped that he could stop Chu Meng, buying himself some time to come up with a new plan to capture Chu Meng.

"Oh! It’s you! Have you sold all the diamonds I gave you last time?" Dressed in military uniform, General Karo sat on the sofa as he answered McDowell’s call, very puzzled why McDowell would call him when it wasn’t close to their trading day. What could have happened?

"General Karo, there is a favor I need to ask of you, I don’t know if you can help," McDowell got straight to the point, as he didn’t have much time to waste.

"Go ahead, tell me what you need help with, and I’ll see what I can do," General Karo became even more curious upon hearing McDowell mention needing his help. Being in Kenya, what could McDowell possibly need his assistance with?

"Help me capture a person, a woman. I need your help to blockade all airports near Nairobi, don’t let her leave Kenya. I will send someone specifically to capture her and bring her back to M Country soon. General Karo, can you lend a hand with this?" Max Dorrell said once he noticed that General Karo was hesitating about something, so he explained the situation in detail to him, reasoning that such a task shouldn’t be difficult for a general like him.

"This matter is easy, I’ll help. However, can we renegotiate the price of our deal?" General Karo immediately understood that this woman must be very important to Max Dorrell, otherwise he wouldn’t have made the call.

"That’s negotiable. I’ll send the photo to your phone later. I don’t want her to get away. If that happens, the price won’t change," Max Dorrell almost lost his temper when he heard General Karo’s words. This old, cunning man was still trying to haggle with him at this time.

"Good, send the photo right away. I’ll arrange for all roads and airports to be blockaded to ensure she doesn’t escape," General Karo was already thinking about how to bargain with Max Dorrell, because capturing a woman on his turf shouldn’t be a problem.

"Let’s leave it at that for now. I’ll send you the photo immediately." After finishing, Max Dorrell hung up the phone and sent the photo of Chu Meng from his phone to General Karo, hoping that General Karo could at least momentarily prevent Chu Meng from leaving Kenya.

Max Dorrell breathed a sigh of relief. The issue in Kenya was now resolved, but there was another problem. His only expert fighter had died in Kenya. That meant there must be a skilled fighter beside Chu Meng as well. With no other choice, he had to ask the boss, Young Master Li Li Zerui, for more men, otherwise it would be impossible to capture or kill Chu Meng. With this in mind, he reluctantly made a satellite phone call to the boss.

"Boss, it’s Old Four. There’s been an accident; Li Dongtian is dead..." As soon as the call connected, Max Dorrell immediately explained the situation to the boss, hoping he wouldn’t blame him. Nobody expected Li Dongtian to die; it was truly unexpected.

"What, Li Dongtian is dead? How did he die?" Dressed in a gray robe, not very tall, extremely handsome, and looking only in his twenties, Li Zerui was practicing his martial arts on a mountaintop when his satellite phone, reserved for emergencies, suddenly rang. He answered the call once he saw it was from Old Four but never anticipated Old Four would drop such a bombshell; it didn’t make any sense—how could Li Dongtian be dead?

How was that possible? He was a peak AA-level external martial artist that he had personally sent to support Old Four. There were hardly any people in the secular world who could claim his life! With the Li Family’s Heaven-Reaching Fist and his external martial arts expertise, within the AA realm, he was virtually unbeatable. So, what happened—how had he suddenly died?

"It’s true, his life-signs monitor showed that both his pulse and brain waves had stopped. He died in Africa, in Kenya, while he was on a mission for me, boss. What should we do?" Max Dorrell understood that the boss might not believe him, after all, even he couldn’t believe the news at first. He immediately went into detail about the situation for the boss.

"Hmm, how did he end up in Africa? There’s no way anyone there could be a match for Li Dongtian!" Li Zerui found it even stranger after hearing Old Four’s words. How had Li Dongtian ended up in Africa? No one there could be his match, so how could he have died?

"Boss, I sent him to capture that Chu Meng, the Sect Leader of the Cloud Fund I told you about. I sabotaged her plane to crash there, but she survived. So, I sent Li Dongtian to bring Chu Meng back, but I never expected he would die there," Max Dorrell explained the actual situation to the boss, as there was nothing else he could do—it was an unforeseen circumstance.

"Alright, I got it. Anything else?" Li Zerui knew that Li Dongtian’s death was not Old Four’s fault. It was an event no one saw coming. However, it was shocking that such a formidable person had emerged in Africa capable of killing Li Dongtian. Surely, it must be someone of AAA rank since no one of AA rank could accomplish that. It seemed necessary for him to contact his family and investigate which AAA-ranked expert from any prominent family or sect had ventured into the secular world.

"Boss, could you send another expert fighter? We must capture that Chu Meng. Otherwise, if she gets away, it will cause a lot of trouble later," Max Dorrell had no choice but to ask the boss for more manpower. He was just an excellent businessman, while the boss’s family was an ancient and large family with many high-level martial masters.

"Hmm, I will have someone contact you in a moment." Li Zerui said and then hung up the phone. He contacted the Li Family’s main European base and, as the Young Patriarch, dispatched Li Daqi, the AAA middle stage expert who was stationed there, to assist Max Dorrell. Since Li Dongtian was dead and certainly must have taken the family’s secret medicine, the opponent was definitely either dead or severely injured. Thus, a AAA middle stage master would be sufficient. Also, he was aware of the issue with Chu Meng. Old Four was absolutely right; capturing her was essential, or it would indeed bring a lot of trouble for Old Four.
