Chapter 314: Li Dongtian Pursuing Chu Meng
Chapter 314: Li Dongtian Pursuing Chu Meng
On the other side, just after Chu Meng’s plane had crashed, one of Max Dorrell’s men, Jack, found him. This Jack was the person officially responsible for causing Chu Meng’s plane to malfunction and crash.
"Boss, that Chu Meng didn’t die!" Jack, who wasn’t very tall and seemed to have some Asian ancestry but looked extremely shrewd and capable, saw Boss Max Dorrell and immediately conveyed his purpose for being there.
"What? How is that possible? Didn’t the plane crash?" Max Dorrell felt very strange seeing Jack come to him. Why would he come to see him, and hadn’t the plane already crashed? But as soon as he heard Jack say that Chu Meng was not dead, Max Dorrell simply couldn’t believe his ears. Was her luck that great, surviving a plane crash like that?
"It’s true. After the crash, I thought I should confirm whether Chu Meng was really dead, so I dialed her satellite phone. I realized something wasn’t right when it was busy. Then I immediately called our people in Kenya. They said that a local gang went to salvage a crashed plane, and their boss even brought back a living Eastern beauty. Chu Meng was the only woman on that plane, so it must mean she’s still alive."
Jack explained further when he heard that Max Dorrell didn’t believe him. To tell the truth, he had not believed it either when he first heard the news. Surviving a plane crash? Chu Meng’s luck really was incredibly good.
"If that didn’t kill her, then she must be lucky, but now that she has nothing left, I have nothing to fear from her. How about we bring her back for some fun, and then dump her in a brothel to work?" Max Dorrell thought how thrilled his brothers would be to have Chu Meng brought back. In the past, she had been like a goddess, no man had ever come close to her, and she was cold as ice to all men. It was unlikely that she wasn’t a virgin. It would be such a joy for the brothers.
He remembered clearly when he had been with Chu Meng, how she hadn’t given him any face. No matter his bargaining or his status as a financial genius second only to Chu Meng, she had refused to dance or drink with him at the grand party. That day, he had lost face completely like never before, as no woman had ever dared to treat him like that, making his colleagues in the financial world laugh at him. He had held onto this grudge until this very day.
He hadn’t expected Chu Meng to be so lucky, surviving even a dramatic plane crash. But now that she had lost everything, it was the perfect opportunity to bring her back and torment her, to take his revenge. Moreover, he had long wanted to bed this quintessential Eastern beauty, and had never had the chance. He had thought his dream would never come true after her presumed death. Now that she was still alive, everything would be easy. He would do whatever it took to bring Chu Meng back.
Thinking this, Max Dorrell directly dialed someone’s number. This person was Li Dongtian, an expert dispatched by the Boss to be stationed here, whom he had only ordered into action a few times, each time with perfect results. He wouldn’t have wanted to send him to Africa if it wasn’t necessary.
"Mr. Li, come to my office, this is Max Dorrell." Max Dorrell said straightforwardly, inviting Li Dongtian to his office.
"I’m Li Dongtian, I’ll be there immediately." Hearing Max Dorrell calling him over, Li Dongtian, dressed in light grey casual wear and not tall but extremely fit, knew there must be a mission for him. The Young Patriarch had dispatched him to deal with some tricky matters. He wouldn’t be getting a call if it wasn’t important, so he immediately promised to go to Max Dorrell’s office.
"Boss, who is this Mr. Li?" Jack was very curious, having never heard of Mr. Li before. The Boss had actually invited him to the office—what was going on?
"He’s an expert. I’m planning to send him to Kenya to bring Chu Meng back to me. Once he arrives, explain everything related to the matter to him again and take him to the airport. Use my private jet to send him there." Max Dorrell clarified the plan and prepared to have Jack handle the details later. After all, Jack had very comprehensive information on Chu Meng, making him the most suitable person for the task.
A few minutes later, Li Dongtian arrived at Max Dorrell’s office.
"Jack will tell you the details. Follow him, and he’ll inform you about everything concerning the target," Max Dorrell said, then signaled the two men to leave his office. The arrangements had been made, so there was no need to stay in the office any longer. Bringing Chu Meng back as quickly as possible was the most important thing now.
The two left Max Dorrell’s office and went downstairs, directly driving towards the airport. En route, Jack clarified all details concerning their target Chu Meng to Li Dongtian and handed him a photo of her.
...
In the evening, Li Dongtian finally arrived in Nairobi, Kenya by plane. Right out of the airport, he met the person Jack had arranged to pick him up. Since Li Dongtian didn’t speak the language there, Jack had assigned a Chinese person, Wang Xiaoshi, working in Kenya to serve as Li Dongtian’s guide. This would solve Li Dongtian’s language issue and also provide him with a driver.
"Where is Chu Meng?" Before boarding the plane, Jack had already told me about this person, to serve as a guide for me. Now, Li Dongtian was thinking about capturing Chu Meng as soon as possible — the sooner the business in Africa was over, the better. This place in Africa was really not worth staying in.
"From what I’ve gathered, Chu Meng seems to have been taken to his villa by the boss of the Wanyu Gang," replied Wang Xiaoshi, a short, dark, and skinny man as he drove and answered Li Dongtian’s question.
"Then let’s go straight to that villa. You know where it is, right?" Li Dongtian, upon hearing Wang Xiaoshi’s words, decided to head directly to the villa. Now that they had a definite target, things would be much easier. Besides, in a place like Kenya, it was impossible for anyone to stand a chance against him.
"Okay, we’ll head there now. Here’s a map of Nairobi. After we catch Chu Meng, we’ll leave from this small red airport. The Wanyu Gang is notorious for having many guns in Nairobi, so it will be dangerous. For safety’s sake, you should take a look," said Wang Xiaoshi as he drove. He handed Li Dongtian a map because he knew this mission would be perilous. To be on the safe side, it was best to inform Li Dongtian about their destination.
Li Dongtian understood that Wang Xiaoshi was worried about his own safety, lest he have nobody to guide him. Without saying much, Li Dongtian took the map and studied it. Even though he couldn’t understand the English, he could decipher some of the key elements, especially as two locations were marked in Chinese: the position of the villa and the airport. He made a mental note of them — just in case.
"The villa is over there. I can only take you this far." After driving for over an hour, Wang Xiaoshi finally stopped the car and pointed at a four-story white villa in the distance, which, bathed in the sunset’s afterglow, looked exceptionally beautiful. However, if one paid close attention, one could faintly make out many armed people patrolling incessantly inside. It might have been mistaken for the residence of an important official, had they not known it belonged to the boss of the Wanyu Gang — it was that extravagant.
"You wait here for me," said Li Dongtian as he got out of the car, glancing over at the villa without much concern. Since it was overseas and he was about to leave with his team right after, there was no need to be stealthy. The quickest resolution was the best.
Having made up his mind, Li Dongtian casually picked up a few stones and proceeded towards the white villa. He was spotted by people inside before he even got close, as the villa was surrounded by a lawn and anyone approaching within a hundred meters would be detected. Seeing the two people who had spotted him, Li Dongtian didn’t think twice; his body suddenly accelerated as he charged toward the villa.
The two patrolling men saw someone running towards the villa and knew something was wrong. They immediately aimed their guns at Li Dongtian, intending to shoot and kill the intruder. However, before they could pull the triggers, two whooshing stones struck them on their heads.
"Crack!"
"Crack!"
Two stones shattered the skulls of the men, who died instantly without a chance to react, their brains bursting open from the impact.
But the noise had already alerted the dogs inside the villa. Suddenly, a piercing chorus of barks erupted from the villa, and a group of men, armed with guns, rushed out, eager to discover what had happened outside — who would dare to strike at the villa of the Wanyu Gang’s boss? That would be a death wish!
"Whoosh, whoosh!" Before the men could react, another two whizzing sounds targeted the crowd.
"Crack!"
"Crack!"
Once again, two more people had their heads smashed by stones, with white, steaming brain matter spurting onto those around them, freezing them in shock. The faint-hearted even hurriedly brushed the brains from their bodies and began retching. While everyone had seen dead bodies before, none had ever encountered such a scenario — hot brain matter splattering on them was a truly terrifying experience.
