Chapter 313: I’ll Lead the Way!
Chapter 313: I’ll Lead the Way!
The nightmare didn’t end with Tuoka’s fainting; Tuoka woke up once more, but this time it wasn’t of his own accord, it was the excruciating pain that roused him!
At this point, Tuoka started to harbor an illusion that he might actually be undergoing the Devil’s trial in the legendary Hell. Otherwise, how could a living person endure such torturous agony? The pain was enough to drive a person mad with life. If he could choose again, he would have never allowed himself to be seduced by that waitress, then he wouldn’t have to suffer such inhuman suffering.
Cold sweat continued to form on Tuoka’s body, and he was convulsing non-stop, not just his body but also his internal organs were trembling ceaselessly. Such pain was beyond description by words. Had there not been a person standing before him, Tuoka would have truly thought he was already dead.
"I believe you now know how to talk nicely," said Lin Feng, looking at the half-dead black man lying on the ground, his voice cold and chilling. "If you want to talk, blink your eyes, but I advise you not to yell out anything unnecessary that might attract others. Otherwise, I’ll make you suffer this pain for a lifetime, yearning for death. You already experienced my methods just now, so please don’t doubt my words."
Hearing this Devil-like man speak, Tuoka didn’t dare do anything else and quickly blinked his eyes like camera shutters, signaling his understanding and pleading him not to break his fingers again. This taste of pain was indescribable, and no living person would want to experience it! Now, no matter what this Devil asked, he would answer completely. He didn’t want to be tortured again because that pain was truly worse than death. If he had the choice, he would have wished for death just moments ago...
"Speak, what’s your name, and where did you get that satellite phone from?" Lin Feng saw the black man was completely subdued, and then he patted his neck twice, just enough to allow him to speak for now.
"I... my name is Tuoka, my phone..." Tuoka, having just regained his ability to speak, immediately wanted to answer Lin Feng’s questions. Still, the excruciating pain in his hand made his words come out jumbled, and he was unable to speak clearly, stuttering through his words in distress.
Seeing this, Lin Feng realized his fingers must still be hurting, which explained the difficulty speaking. With that in mind, he took out two silver needles and prepared to pierce them into Tuoka.
"I... I don’t want to die... I... I didn’t lie." Seeing the Eastern man take out such long needles, Tuoka’s heart nearly stopped. If those long needles were inserted into his body, he could die on the spot, and he didn’t want to die. He hadn’t lived enough, and he hadn’t lied either. Why was this man in such a hurry to kill him...
"It’s not to take your life; rest assured," Lin Feng said as the silver needles pierced into Tuoka’s body.
"Why doesn’t it hurt anymore?" Initially terrified at the sight of the needles heading his way, Tuoka suddenly found that not only had the needles not taken his life, but his fingers no longer hurt either. A swollen, numbing sensation replaced the pain, without the excruciating agony of before.
"Stop blabbering, or should I take those needles out?" Lin Feng was anxious about his senior sister’s situation and wasn’t in the mood for Tuoka’s idle talk.
"No, don’t, please! I’ll talk! It was like this: our gang received information that a plane had crashed not too far from here. The Boss led us over there, and to our surprise, we found a lot of valuable things—several cases of money and some very valuable jewelry and gems. We searched thoroughly, even the plane wreckage. The things we found were astonishing because they were indeed very wealthy, conservatively estimated to be worth tens of millions," Tuoka said, terrified at the idea of having the miraculous needles removed. If the needles were taken out, he might die from the pain. He couldn’t let that happen, so he rushed to say everything he knew.
After hearing everything Tuoka had to say, Lin Feng finally understood what had happened. It seemed his senior sister’s plane had crashed, and these people had gone to scavenge. However, the crash wasn’t an accident; it must have been sabotaged intentionally since his senior sister had mentioned betrayal in her call. But finding his senior sister was the only way to know the specific circumstances.
"When you picked up the phone, was there a living woman nearby?" Lin Feng asked Tuoka directly. His senior sister must have been conscious just after the crash when she phoned him, and they lost contact after she fainted.
"How did you know? There was a young and beautiful Eastern woman next to the phone. At first, I thought she was dead, but when I picked up the phone, I saw her hand move and realized she was still alive," Tuoka said, shocked at the Easterner’s knowledge. There had been no one else at the scene except people from his gang; how did he know there had been a woman there?
"Where is she now?" Hearing Tuoka say he had seen his senior sister, Lin Feng was immediately overjoyed. He finally knew his senior sister’s whereabouts, making the rest of the mission easier to handle.
"I called our Boss over to see her, and the Boss took a liking to this incredibly beautiful Eastern woman at first sight. He ordered his men to carry her to the car, then drove her to his villa," Tuoka vaguely felt that this young man must have some connection with the young woman; they were both from the East, and he was certainly here to find her. Otherwise, there’s no way a young Easterner would be roaming freely in Nairobi.
"What’s the name of your Boss? What are the characteristics of your gang? Where is the Boss’s villa, and do you know the way?" Hearing that the boss of the Wanyu Gang seemed to have bad intentions toward his senior sister, Lin Feng became anxious and blurted out three questions. These three questions were crucial for the timely rescue of his senior sister.
"Our Boss is called Karo, our gang is known as the Wanyu Gang, we’re the most formidable gang in Nairobi. Unlike other gangs, Wanyu Gang is actually the private guard of General Tao Lun of Nairobi. Everyone in the gang has a gun, all provided by the General, and all other local gangs can’t contend with us. We’ve evolved beyond a traditional sense of a gang, and I’ve even seen a large batch of Chinese-made firearms in our weapons cache! As for the Boss’s villa, of course, I know it. I’ve been there more than once."
Knowing the objective of this Eastern man, Tuoka quickly and smartly revealed everything he knew, praying that the Eastern man would not torture him further.
"Then it’ll be easy. You’ll take me to your Boss’s villa later. As long as you cooperate, I won’t harm you, understand?" Lin Feng felt relieved that everything could be resolved through Tuoka and threatened him by pinching his two fingers. He was indifferent to the means as long as he could quickly find his senior sister.
"I’ll take you there, just don’t touch me!" Tuoka, now terrified at the sight of this Easterner’s hands, preferred risking death at the hands of his Boss instead of enduring another touch. Even though he was clearly being threatened, he had no choice but to obediently lead him to the Boss’s villa under the circumstances.
Upon Tuoka’s agreement to cooperate honestly, Lin Feng crouched down and patted him several times on his body to restore his ability to move and lead the way.
"Get up and lead the way; you can go now." Lin Feng gestured for Tuoka to get up quickly and show the way, as he didn’t have the time to waste with him. Every minute of delay meant greater danger for his senior sister.
"I’ll lead the way!" Tuoka, after hearing that he could stand up, was incredulous until he actually got up from the ground. He truly realized that the Eastern man had freed him and couldn’t understand the technique that made his entire body seize up. It was simply miraculous!
However, before he could marvel any further, under Lin Feng’s intimidating gaze, Tuoka was thoroughly scared and promptly left the room, quickly discerning the direction to take this Eastern man to the Boss’s villa.
His heart was tumultuous; he knew that if the Boss found out he was leading this Eastern man there, there would be no mercy. But given the situation, he had no choice. He would rather die than be tortured by this Easterner again, which felt worse than death.
Compared to that, taking the Eastern man seemed like a better option at least now he would no longer be tortured...
"Stop looking, get in the car and lead the way." Lin Feng came out and casually opened a black sedan by the roadside. Lighting it up as if the car were his own, he signaled Tuoka, who was still figuring out the direction, to get in.
"This way!" Tuoka responded and got in the car, assuming the vehicle belonged to this Eastern man. How else could he be sitting there so quickly? At the moment, though, his mind wasn’t on deciphering the situation; he hastily directed the way, remembering what the Eastern man had said about not being tortured as long as he cooperated...
Lin Feng drove the black sedan away like lightning disappearing into the dusk...
