Chapter 308 Meridians are Sealed!
Chapter 308 Meridians are Sealed!
Lin Feng drove to the airport and checked the flight to Yuegang, saw that it had a little over an hour before takeoff, and finally breathed a sigh of relief. He could catch the last flight. He found a place to sit down and wait for Zhou Yang’s people to deliver the documents to him.
After he sat down, Lin Feng realized he should give Leng Mei a heads-up. After all, that group of French language students needed their class, and since he didn’t know how long he would be abroad, he should arrange everything properly before leaving Tianhai.
With that in mind, Lin Feng called Leng Mei. At Yingbo University, she was the only one he knew who could teach French classes.
"Dean Leng, I need to travel abroad and I’m not sure for how long, so I’m asking if you could please take over my French language students," Lin Feng said directly to Leng Mei. Having dealt with her for a long time, he knew there was no need for pleasantries with Dean Leng, straightforward was best.
"What? You’re going abroad?" Leng Mei was extremely surprised to hear Lin Feng was going abroad, and from his tone, it sounded like more than just a day or two. What was this all about?
"Yes, I have some urgent matters to attend to, and I’m already at the airport. The students are in your hands now," Lin Feng responded simply, his thoughts already on his martial sister’s situation.
"Alright then, go and come back early," Leng Mei said, realizing that Lin Feng was already at the airport, it meant he truly had urgent matters to attend to. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have left so suddenly. Since that was the case, she had to take over his French language classes, and she just prayed in her heart that Lin Feng would return safely from his trip abroad.
"I will." After finishing, Lin Feng hung up the phone, sat alone in the chair, and began to ponder what he would do once he was out of the country. After all, being overseas, he needed to plan carefully.
Soon enough, Xiao Li, Zhou Yang’s secretary, arrived at the airport with the documents. After briefly asking where the flight to Yuegang was boarding, she hurried over and quickly found Lin Feng resting in a chair.
"Mr. Lin, the Chief has asked me to deliver your documents. Here is your Interpol ID, it’s recognized worldwide. However, we hope you will return it to the police department after you come back," Xiao Li handed over the documents to Lin Feng, and also explained a few things about the significant authority granted by the ID, suggesting a need for caution.
"Okay, you can go back now. Tell your Chief thanks for me," Lin Feng took the documents without looking and pocketed them, then resumed contemplating the tasks that awaited him in Africa.
"I wish you a pleasant journey, Mr. Lin. I’ll head back to the police department now," seeing that her task was done and Lin Feng had nothing further for her, Xiao Li thought it best to report back to the Chief as soon as possible.
Ignoring Xiao Li, Lin Feng’s mind was fully engaged, planning everything, until the boarding announcement finally pulled him back to reality, and he boarded the plane to Yuegang.
...
After Lin Feng had left Wan Gang spitting blood and fainting from anger, the people from the National Arts Association quickly carried him to a car and rushed towards the hospital, but just a short distance from the university, Wan Gang woke up.
"What are you doing?" Wan Gang only remembered being so angry at Lin Feng that he fainted from spitting blood. He didn’t know what happened after that, and now he found himself in a car – where were they taking him?
"President, you’re okay, that’s great!"
"President, we were just taking you to the hospital,"
"President, you looked really scary just now..."
...
The members of the National Arts Association were overjoyed to see Wan Gang wake up so quickly. They found the chairman’s pale complexion genuinely terrifying just moments ago; now everything seemed much better with him awake, looking like he didn’t have any major issues. As long as there was no danger to the chairman, that was a great relief.
"What hospital? Just take me back to the parking lot at my university; I’ll drive my own car." Wan Gang, upon hearing these students were planning to take him to the hospital, was nearly driven to fury by them. Current hospitals were simply not of use to him; it would be better to drive back to his Martial Arts Sect. He quickly ordered them to return him to the school’s parking lot, where his car was still waiting. Had he not had an accident, he would have almost forgotten that he had a car there!
Hearing Wan Gang say this, students from the National Arts Association immediately drove back to the university’s parking lot. They watched as Wan Gang got into a black sports car and drove away smoothly, and only then did they finally relax, scattering back to their own classrooms for lessons.
It took Wan Gang over three hours to drive back to his Martial Arts Sect, the Three Stars Sect, hidden among the mountains in an unassuming Three Stars Observatory.
The Three Stars Sect wasn’t considered a large sect among cultivators, at most it was a smaller sect with a decent number of members. In this modern civilized society, there weren’t many who truly wished to study martial arts and less who stepped into the ranks of cultivators. Therefore, Wan Gang didn’t have many martial brothers—just Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Iron, four in total, adding him made five, and only these five were direct disciples of the master.
The others were there with the intent of learning some martial arts skills and studied under the Sect. Their master, Wan Long, was a peak AAA-level practitioner, infinitely close to S-level. Among all cultivators, he was a very famous figure.
Among the five martial brothers, aside from the eldest brother Wan Jin, the four brothers including Wan Gang were all *** experts. The difference was that Wan Gang reached *** before the age of 20, while the other three brothers all achieved it after turning 30. Eldest brother Wan Jin was nearing 50 yet was the most formidable among them. Having lingered at the peak of AA-level for many years, he had not yet succeeded in breaking through to AAA-level and becoming a high-level practitioner like their father Wan Long.
Outside the Three Stars Observatory, Wan Gang casually parked his car and then went searching for his eldest brother Wan Jin throughout the Sect. At this point, the only option was to see if his brother could offer any solutions; if even he was at a loss, he’d have no choice but to turn to their master.
Finally, in the Sect’s martial training hall, he found Wan Jin teaching their fellow sect members and without a second word hurried over, pulling his eldest brother into a corner.
"Eldest brother, I’ve run into trouble." Wan Gang felt a familiar affection seeing his brother and was overcome by an unbearable sense of discomfort. If only he had stayed within the Sect, it would have been so much better. Who could have guessed that in just half a year of venturing out for experience, he would encounter a supreme expert who sealed off his power completely? Now he was nothing more than a slightly stronger than ordinary person.
"What kind of trouble? I’ve just noticed you look particularly unwell; what kind of injury have you suffered? Is it serious?" Wan Jin, who appeared to be only in his thirties but was nearly fifty, with his tall frame and powerful build, might be mistaken for a farmer by the inattentive. Yet nobody would guess that he was indeed a true expert.
Seeing his junior’s complexion look off and having not even had the chance to inquire about what happened, his younger brother said that he’d encountered trouble. As a *** peak expert, there weren’t many in the Secular World who could match him. Could he have been beaten by someone?
"Don’t even mention it; I encountered a powerful opponent and was beaten soundly!" Wan Gang now felt extremely aggrieved. Of course, his complexion looked poor; Lin Feng’s punches and kicks were so heavy that if it hadn’t been for his True Qi resistance, he would have been dismembered on the spot, with no chance to return to the Sect. His luck was incredibly bad too, attending university only to encounter that freak Lin Feng. Not only did he get beaten, but Lin Feng also sealed all his meridians, making him even more miserable than if Lin Feng had simply killed him!
Wan Gang had grown accustomed to the state of being superior to ordinary people, cherishing that sense of power. To suddenly fall back to being just an ordinary person, if he couldn’t retrieve his lost strength, living like that would be worse than death!
"Junior brother, didn’t you go to university? How could you have encountered an expert there? There are supposed to be no experts in universities!" Wan Jin, hearing his brother’s words, felt utterly bewildered. How could the junior brother he sent to university have encountered such an expert and been beaten up? That was inconceivable. How could any of the students be a match for his junior brother? Teachers, even less likely. If anyone were to defeat his junior brother, they would have to be an AA-level expert. But would an AA-level expert even need to work as a teacher? That would be ridiculous! So what was really going on? Looking at his junior brother’s complexion, it still wasn’t right. Could he really have encountered a true expert?
"It’s true, a French teacher named Lin Feng beat me so badly I didn’t stand a chance. I’m still miserably frustrated by it. What’s even more outrageous is that he’s sealed all my meridians. Now I’m just an ordinary person, completely unable to circulate my power!"
Hearing his elder brother’s disbelief, Wan Gang fully understood his thoughts. Had it not been for being defeated and knocked unconscious by Lin Feng, he wouldn’t have believed that someone so powerful could be found in a school either. Now the troublesome fact was, how did someone as formidable as Lin Feng end up as a schoolteacher? It was like some kind of joke, totally insane!
"What? Meridians can be sealed? You can’t be serious!" Wan Jin was caught completely off guard by his junior brother claiming a French teacher had done this. The whole situation struck him as absurd—he knew a French teacher couldn’t be that powerful. It was just too extraordinary, and even more unthinkable was his junior being beaten to a point of no reaction, for his brother was a peak *** practitioner, and even Wan Jin himself would struggle to achieve that. Only someone at their father’s level could manage what his junior was describing.
