Extreme Almightiest Young Master

Chapter 1265 - 1263: Going to the Appointment

Chapter 1265 - 1263: Going to the Appointment

"Senior Brother, what happened?" Lin Feng suddenly received a call from his senior brother and was truly surprised. Leng Hao had just gone over there yesterday; why was there another call so early in the morning? Could something have gone wrong again?

"Junior Brother, I’m sorry to tell you... Leng Hao and the two kids got injured, and the injuries are quite severe!" Shang Yi said apologetically. He indeed had not expected things to turn out this way. Now that they’re all hurt, he genuinely felt sorry to face Lin Feng.

"Injured? What happened exactly?" Lin Feng’s curiosity deepened as soon as he heard that Leng Hao and the kids were all injured. Leng Hao’s strength was already at the Middle Stage of the Transcendent Realm, so dealing with so-called robots shouldn’t have been an issue. How did he end up hurt?

"Last night’s situation was something like this..." Upon hearing Lin Feng’s question, Shang Yi immediately explained the events of the previous evening so Lin Feng could understand what had occurred. That humanoid robot was truly formidable; his people couldn’t even approach it, and there was simply nothing Shang Yi could do.

After listening to Shang Yi’s explanation, Lin Feng frowned. He hadn’t anticipated a humanoid robot being capable of creating such a huge commotion, injuring both Leng Hao and the children. Given the circumstances, he decided it would be best to have Leng Hao and the kids return first so he could figure something out. Contemplating this, he said, "Senior Brother, have them brought back here. I’ll treat their injuries."

"Alright, Junior Brother, I’ll use a military aircraft to send them back right away." Shang Yi immediately agreed upon hearing Lin Feng’s proposal. After ending the call, he quickly arranged for a plane to bring Leng Hao and the kids back to Tianhai City.

What exactly is the Locke Family planning?

After the call ended, Lin Feng immediately recalled the Locke Group’s press conference from before, and the two humanoid robots unveiled during it. Without surprise, the humanoid robot that appeared near his senior brother’s location must have been linked to this so-called Locke Family.

A vague sense of foreboding surfaced, as though Lin Feng was beginning to realize that this arms-dealing family’s creation of such powerful humanoid robots might harbinger a shocking conspiracy...

By utilizing special channels and a military aircraft, Shang Yi managed to transport Leng Hao and the two kids to Lin Feng’s location by noon. They were brought over in a military vehicle, where a group of children carried Leng Hao and Xia Jianping into Lin Feng’s villa. It was then that Lin Feng began inspecting their injuries.

The two children had already undergone emergency treatment, and their external wounds had been stitched up. However, when Lin Feng saw them, a flash of light coursed through his hands, reopening all their wounds. He wanted to study the injuries properly to analyze the humanoid robot’s weapons systems.

Although Leng Hao and the kids didn’t understand why Lin Feng was reopening their wounds, they didn’t show any resistance. Lin Feng’s medical skills were already legendary—if they were to die here, Lin Feng could still revive them.

After examining the three sets of injuries, Lin Feng raised an eyebrow. From the patterns evident on the wounds, it was clear they were caused by high-energy weapons, paired with traces of conventional explosives and bullets. He even discovered marks resembling damage from specialized radiation. In short, all the injuries bore the hallmarks of modern technology.

Having confirmed this, Lin Feng personally began treating Leng Hao and the kids’ wounds. Illuminated with colorful light, a radiant energy enveloped them entirely, obscuring them from view.

Half an hour later, as the glow dissipated, Leng Hao and the two kids had been fully healed, with no visible injuries left on their bodies. If not for their pale complexions, no one would have believed that they had been carried into the villa all bruised and battered.

Once these matters were taken care of, Lin Feng asked Leng Hao and the kids to sit down before beginning his inquiry.

"Xiao Hao, tell me: what was the situation like at the time? Was there anything distinct about that humanoid robot?" Lin Feng asked directly, his serious gaze fixed on the trio. He wanted precise information to formulate effective countermeasures.

"Brother-in-law, that robot was truly unique. The armor it wore was definitely made of extraordinary materials. Even when I used Blade Gang, it had no effect—the robot’s defensive power was terrifying. It carried an assortment of concealed weapons that were hard to detect, often causing us injuries unexpectedly. What struck me most was that it was equipped with two highly advanced retractable blades and capable of close-quarters combat. Its agility was exceptional, and its speed far exceeded that of ordinary elites. At that point, I even doubted whether I was fighting a robot or a genuine human expert!"

Hearing Lin Feng’s inquiry, Leng Hao quickly responded. He was truly troubled by the robot—a machine with overwhelming defensive power, diverse attack methods, and even mastery in advanced combat techniques. Its capabilities had far surpassed his expectations, leading to his severe injuries.

"Teacher Lin, both Jianwu and I were providing support at a distance, but we also felt as though the robot wasn’t just a machine—it genuinely seemed like a human expert!" Xia Jianping added from beside him. As someone with relatively rich combat experience, even he and Xia Jianwu could sense the robot handling their attacks with ease, something far beyond what regular machines could achieve.

"Teacher Lin, this is the first time I’ve realized just how advanced secular technology has become. To put it frankly, the combat prowess of that robot was utterly terrifying. It’s leagues beyond that of a Transcendent Realm Peak Demon Beast!" Xia Jianwu chimed in, genuinely shocked by the technological advancements he witnessed. If machines could grow this powerful, how could ordinary cultivators hope to stand against them?

After listening to the trio, Lin Feng nodded—it was largely as he had speculated. He now had a rough understanding of the situation. With the advent of RT Energy Boxes, such robots had clearly surpassed what ordinary individuals could contend with, leaving even cultivators at a loss. This new development was entirely unforeseen by him.

However, based on what Leng Hao and the kids revealed, Lin Feng inferred that this robot might not be purely mechanical but rather a unique kind of humanoid mecha piloted by an expert. Otherwise, it was highly unlikely that mere remote control could cause such severe injuries to Leng Hao and the kids!

"Describe the robot’s weaponry in detail," Lin Feng prompted.

"Primarily different types of colored light—extremely powerful! Even Gang Qi Shields couldn’t block them!"

"Yes, some beams were incredibly hot, while others were freezing cold!"

"It also had guns that fired large-caliber bullets!"

"Its blades were unusual as well. Jianping and I tried striking them with swords, but they didn’t sustain any damage."

...

Subsequently, Lin Feng and the trio engaged in a discussion about the robot. From their conversation, Lin Feng fully grasped the meaning of being ’armed to the teeth.’ Aside from its weapons systems, the robot seemed to have no other functions. Everything centered around high-energy weaponry and prolonged combat capabilities. It was evident that this robot had been powered by the RT Energy Box recently unveiled by the Locke Group; otherwise, conventional energy systems couldn’t achieve such performance.

Moreover, Lin Feng was now almost certain that the so-called robot wasn’t truly autonomous but instead a humanoid mecha piloted by an individual. A genuinely remote-controlled robot couldn’t possibly pose this level of threat to Leng Hao and the kids. With these facts in mind, Lin Feng instructed the trio to rest before turning to leave, determined to meet Jack. It seemed almost inevitable for him to connect Jack to this incident and aim to uncover details about the Locke Group from him...

......

Early the next morning, after finishing breakfast, Chu Meng received a call from Jack. He invited her to a meeting that night at Wu Mountain, a location northwest of Tianhai City. On the mountain lay a long-abandoned military airfield where they would meet.

Lin Feng and Chu Meng briefly discussed the proposal and felt there was no harm in going, deciding to meet Jack together to clarify his intentions.

As night fell, Lin Feng gave instructions to Old Monster and the others to stay vigilant and defend their base. After ensuring everyone stayed cautious, he drove Chu Meng directly toward the abandoned military airfield mentioned by Jack. With the aid of a navigation device, they soon arrived at Wu Mountain, following a small road upward to reach the site halfway up the mountain—a derelict military airstrip.

The airfield had been deserted for many years, overgrown with weeds as tall as a person. Its concrete runway, however, still maintained quality, showing no cracks. On it lay grains drying in the sun, suggesting local farmers had made use of the site for free.

Adjacent to the runway stood a small three-story building with boarded-up windows covered by wooden planks labeled with various types of grains—likely transformed into a makeshift granary by the villagers.

Standing on the runway, Lin Feng and Chu Meng were left speechless. They couldn’t fathom how Jack had chosen such a peculiar meeting spot! They began searching around for him, but after scanning the area, they were met with unexpected results—there was no sign of Jack or anyone else. Was Jack standing them up for a prank?

"Could Jack be absent?" Chu Meng couldn’t hold back any longer and asked Lin Feng. The area was empty save for the dilapidated three-story building and a still-smooth runway. If Jack were here, they would have spotted him for sure.

"No, he’s probably here but using some method to mask his life signals, making it impossible for me to detect." Lin Feng abruptly halted and stared at the abandoned three-story building. His instincts told him Jack must be somewhere within yet remained unperceivable for now.
