Chapter 944 - 943 - Filtering Candidates
Chapter 944 - 943 - Filtering Candidates
Now that the conditions are set for the Inheritance, he had to actually make it. The first area was cleared of most trees and other plants. He made a massive stone circle that was easily as large as a town or small city. He then created the actual entrance to the Inheritance grounds.
The first areas would not be enclosed or blocked off as the point was to filter out what kind of candidate had arrived.
He created several areas to clearly sit and cultivate if needed as he worked on the sky. The sun was natural but he sped up time to let the night come. There was just blackness with a glow on the horizon in all directions.
He smiled at that. He could actually fill the sky! He wove Laws and elements together until 18 spheres were basically filling the sky but then they flew up away from him.
They easily spread out until they were equidistant from each other. The spheres then exploded like fireworks!
Colors across the entire spectrum flashed until stars filled the night at last! Clouds started to form but they were not just moisture but water and air Qi working together!
The density of Qi skyrocketed until it was on par with the best the Celestial Fields could ever offer!
It was fairly easy but he had to balance the generation to the Qi needed to sustain the special realm. His Law Arrays had laid the foundation but his Law Weavings made the power inside the realm possible.
Harmonic crystals began to form all around the stone platform as the Qi activated the weavings he had laid down.
It was the first step of filtering. Were they a 6 elemental or another kind of cultivator? If they were a 6 elemental, the Harmonic Square would be their first stop. They had to grasp their harmony as best as possible at whatever cultivation realm they were at.
Anyone else could skip it but still benefit if they wished to attempt it. Some harmonies could inspire all cultivators if their elements were closely tied to its intent.
It was a beautiful scene as the stars seemed to reflect the harmonic crystals below. He was surprised as a few were new to him! The 18 elements had actually created a few he had never seen before!
He noted them down and studied them but he instantly could tell what they were. Celestial harmonies! They could exist?!
He was truly curious about that but archived the sensations of each harmonic crystal for later study. It was his Inheritance and he was learning new things!
He also felt the bottleneck on his cultivation loosen immensely with such a revelation.
The speed he had was always good but now it was like he could take a step and be in the next part of the Shard Tier.
Still, he focused on his next task. Anyone that went through his Frey Clan Heir trials, would see the crystalline arches as very familiar.
Unlike in that trial where it was a simple progression path, he set up several different arches but at the top of each were symbols.
The first arch was simply the humanoid form that went through the Body Refining Realm techniques for the best result. Anyone that stumbled on his Inheritance below the peak of the Body Refining Realm would be sent out instantly.
The Soul Realm had 6 cores and a flame in the middle. The World Realm had 6 fonts with a sand, stone, iron, gold, and diamond morphing at the center. For both of those the centerpieces could grow to fill the display as it would for a dantian to show where they were.
The Sky Realm was 6 shards with subcores hidden at the center shard. The shards became transparent to completely solid just as it would for a cultivator.
The Heaven Realm arch was a tad different as the gate was made up of 6 segments where the interior of the space currently reflected the night sky. He tested it by suppressing his cultivation and the interior changed to a moon and sun in quick succession.
He smiled as he was able to shift between natural, demonic, and Celestial Qi.
The last one was a bit more difficult. The Immortal Realm was only partially grasped by him. Still, he had been able to talk to Delenn and Haro to get a firm grasp of the next level of Laws and Qi to expand his shard into a full crystal.
Thus, the arch had a sliver, shard, and crystal actually formed at the top of it. The first 2 were very solid and complete but the last one was just barley filling the very bottom tip of the crystal. He also frowned at the fact that it did not have the 7 panels like his Shard currently did.
He played with it a bit but the crystal remained at 4 sides only. It was simply larger than other shards he had seen.
"That is my limit, huh?" He could only shrug and plan to come back once he was able to. Unlike other beings, he could return anytime he wished but only when it was empty.
He only had an inkling thanks to Delenn and thus his final arch was limited.
Still, the 6 arches were now laid out on half the edge of the stone platform he had laid out. The half behind him had the entrance but he held off on completing it as his conditions would go into effect.
He was pleased with the stability of his Forged creations. He also moved on to the next clear step of passing the arches.
Any failure to meet the standards he put into them would send them back. If they only were a bit shy, they could come back to the platform to cultivate or comprehend but it would be up to luck and their own determination at that point.
All others would be sent back out of his Inheritance and blocked until they met new entrance criteria if they could even get another chance.
If they passed, teleportation weavings would then need to be triggered for the next parts. It was a simple filtering process at the start but now it would get complicated. The arches did not only test the cultivation realm after all!
He had combined the testing for professions into them. Pills, elixirs, formations, and so forth all had simple and straightforward testing so it was hardly onerous to add it in.
If he found cultivators that qualified, they would make a stop to a different complex from the main Inheritance grounds.
He built labs for elixirs, pill furnaces for the alchemists, and so forth. Everything was Forged. It covered everything from grades 1 to 3 for that area. He then moved on to grades 4 and 5 to repeat the buildings. It made a massive complex that started as another circular base
He built it up as a tower of dark stone and steel to contain everything inside of it.
It was not a place to earn rewards but to gauge the current level of each production master.
It was also not a pass or fail area but a place for them to prove themselves. He created a massive storage space where herbs of all kinds were planted while others had crystal nurturing areas. Ore was a bit more difficult but he set aside secret areas of the realm to slowly replace the massive stores he currently placed in each storage space.
The underground area would also contain seeds for the same purpose but only accessible at limited times when no one was present.
Time became a bit of a lost cause as he tested several aspects of his facilities at different intervals. Technically he could pass his entire life inside the special realm but because he set an anchor outside, he would never age!
He could make trillions of years pass but it would exhaust the energy sources if he did.
In real time, the Seeds would help sustain the Inheritance for epochs.
Once he finished the production testing tower, he tested the weavings from the Harmonic Crystal Platform.
It took a few tweaks but eventually the weavings correctly identified the professional thresholds. He wanted to summon a few test subjects but knew that was no longer possible.
The tigress had forced his hand a bit.
He shook his head as he pondered the final filtering test.
It was the most tricky for a few reasons. He was not looking for bloodlines specifically but there were a few that were problematic.
If they tried to enter his Inheritance, they could actually suffer lethal Qi deviation. His conditions already precluded a few obvious issues, but there were some gray areas.
The Akashic Physique was his best example. Without the proper training, no demon with that physique was fit to even try his Inheritance but Kal had proven suitable demons could exist.
There were other demonic bloodlines and physiques with similar issues but the predominant problem would be aether beasts.
Many would assume dragons had an advantage in his Inheritance but they would be wrong. His bloodline usually conflicted with the dragons he had encountered.
Wen described it as an itch she could not scratch while interacting with him. Fighting was nearly impossible to avoid at times.
Illyria said it felt like he was a great weight whenever he was nearby.
He basically set up several beast bloodline resonance chambers. It would allow him to test not only the quality but the compatibility of their bloodlines to his legacy. Demonic bloodlines then had the same set up.
It was another open area but far smaller than the other 2 he had built.
It had been months of work but he was done with the first tests. Now came the hard part. The actual trials of his legacy for the cultivators to prove they were worthy.
